Whoaaaaaaaaa! I will never come back here again because any purchase of Chinese food from this place is akin to flushing my $ down the loo.
I can’t fathom how this place stays in business.

Insult to injury is that you get 2 pieces of chicken with 40 pieces of vegetables! Tadaaaa!

It’s bigger than most Chinese carry outs. There are several tables to be able to sit and eat at. The kitchen is big too. The staff even wears a uniform — red. Even the delivery guys I saw carrying the food out. They do seem more friendly than most Chinese carry outs.
They do offer more than just your regular Chinese food. And you get a lot for a cheaper price than most Chinese carryouts.
BUT, the food was just OK at best. I’ll have to try their Lo Mein and see — that’s usually how I base the Chinese carryouts by their Lo Mein. I ordered the beef and broccoli combo (comes fried rice and eggroll) and my husband got the pork bbq ribs combo (comes with fried rice and eggroll). When we got home, we were surprised at the amount of food we both got– they fill up the white to-​go containers with lots of rice! My husband’s pork bbq ribs was yummy and they gave him a lot! (I’ll add photos) My beef was just okay… it was thin and chewy, and it should be called Broccoli with some beef because I def had lots of broccoli. The broccoli was good– barely cooked, I like it that way so that’s it’s still crunchy. I was disappointed with my rice too– it was missing something, like flavor lol. I know rice doesn’t usually taste like something, but I’m asian– I know rice. LOL! I just added soy sauce to it. Oh and there was only ONE eggroll in our bag. :(
My husband and I will come back tho, still have to try the Lo Mein and the chicken wings (I LOVE ME SOME FRIED CHICKEN WINGS) and their prices are good. So if you’re looking for cheap Chinese food this is the place– but don’t expect lots of flavor in everything.

I use to love wennys but after waiting an hour and a half for out order and getting very soggy wonton that taste straight up like olive oil. Never again will I order food from this place

I love Wenny’s! Everyone knows it’s hard to find a decent carry out. Being that I’m new to the area, I tried a few and Wenny’s has become my favorite. They’re usually pretty busy in the evenings, which to me is a positive indicator of what their food tastes like, but they’re really good with balancing walk-​in orders with those placed ahead of time. If you haven’t had their wings, you’re missing out!

The dragon phoenix is the best!!! Consistently good. Love the chicken wings too. Great food!

It’s your standard Carry Out. I like this place because they deliver and my food is usually hot when it arrives. I almost always order the wings and fries and they are as good as it gets!

This is NOT your average carry-​out! The people here know their customers and pretty soon with my frequent trips they will know not just my order but my name too! When you walk in you’re immediately greeted with the smell of food which has your mouth salivating, wanting to sample everything that they have on the menu. I haven’t tried any of their Chinese food yet, but the way the food looks on other patrons plates (dine-​in customers) makes me want to add some dishes to my order but I won’t!
Just watching the staff work from you placing your order to the chef cooking your food is ran like a well oiled machine!
The tables are your basic carryout tables, not much to write home about but you can sit and eat your food!
Maybe when it’s Chinese night I will place an order to Wenny’s and try their delivery option to see how well that it is with me being in close proximity. This is my diamond and go to for some good eats in Laurel!

First off you need to know what you are getting yourself into. Your not going here because you want the best food in town. Your going here because you have 5 $ in your pocket and you want a lot of food. Overall I recommend this place to someone who wants a lot of food but doesn’t want to break the bank

Have a craving for some good olé’ greasy asian-​american food? Wenny’s is your place! I order here at least once a week, typically the chicken and fried rice with mambo sauce. The chicken is crispy, juicy, and hot, and the rice is a great balance– not super flavorful, but balances out the chicken well. Seriously, whatever they put in the chicken batter is addicting!
If you’re expecting gourmet, if you’re expecting super authentic, if you’re expecting health-​conscious, this is not the place for you. If you want some delicious food with familiar tastes, order here!

We ordered our food at noon. It didn’t get delivered until 2:00 pm and we are right up the street from them! Had to call 2 times and they keep saying food was on the way. Never Again! First and LAST time. Damn you would thin they would have at least compensated me for my frustration!

For something different, I ordered Kung Pao Chicken. It really should have been listed as Kung Pao Vegetables with a Bit of Chicken.
On opening it, I honestly thought they’d given me the wrong order. Huge pieces of green pepper, plenty of diced celery, peanuts as far as the eye could see… Chicken? Eh, not really. Poking around a bit did come up with some.
Nothing in the take-​out menu says anything about the preponderance of vegetables, so quiz them carefully about what they put in the dish if you’re ordering something new.

Before I begin, I’ll state that I’ve only been here once.
An employee of mine jokingly claimed it was his birthday and to get him some «Chicken w/​Broccoli». Being a good worker, I decided he deserved a meal on me. He picked the meal, the place, and the date.
Having never been to Wenny’s before, I had to call them up. They were very quick to get my order, and then very helpful in getting me from where I was to where they were. Clearly this was not the first time someone had trouble finding their restaurant.
They happen to be located behind some cheap run-​down looking brushless car wash and a gas station and when I finally pulled up, I was skeptical.
I walked in. Gave them my name. They smiled, gave me my food, and waved goodbye.
I wish I could say I ordered something for myself to review their food as well, but based on their service alone, I can’t complain! I’ll have to re-​review them when I one day eat something from them. For now it’s a 3-​star A-​OK!

All in all, the food at Wenny’s is pretty good By far my favorite Chinese place in Laurel. My advice, if you are going to eat there would be to go pick your food up vice calling in for delivery. I’ve never done delivery, but when I go to pick up my food, I see the cluster that’s going on in there and I can imagine why it takes a while for your delivery to get to your home.
Overall, good food, the only issue is the delivery.

Food is usually pretty quick when u order and it’s really good. My only complaint or complaints are they do not give u enough cocktail sauce with the fried shrimp.
I mean really, one small container for 21 fried shrimp?
My next complaint is that they speak to loud when talking to each other. If u have to yell to communicate then it’s probably a good idea to invest in a microphone and speaker. Also they seem like taking your order is a bad thing., like they REALLY dislike Americans.

The food here isn’t terrible and I would actually eat here again. My family and I ordered take out. We had the chicken wings, which were pretty good to me, general chicken, I liked it, the sauce was yummy, veggie fried rice and chicken and brocillie, both weren’t bad.
We did pick up so I can’t say to much about the sit down part of the restaurant itself. Overall it isn’t terrible. I am curious to try more items on the menu, it’s pretty extensive. Ok experience that left me semi satisfied.

This is a nice fast food place with asian and american food menu!
I called in for delivery it arrived after 40 min! Yeah 40 min! No complain because the food was still hot!
The cheese steak portion was big and lotsssss of meat I couldn’t ask for extra meat! One large cheese steak alone can full fill two people or more!
The Gyro we ordered was delicious and lots of meat in it the pita bread was warm also!
If you don’t mind eating at fast food, you’re gonna love this place!

I’ve eaten here twice based on photos and reviews. I ordered the fried chicken wings and both times the wings were dry/​overcooked.

Not bad service efficient and quick. Food was greasy but what’s the surprise there! Loved my fried shrimp!
My tip sums up the experience here. The food is mostly quick when you call in and order ahead. If the phone is busy or just rings, do not worry they will call you back to take your order! lol Portions are huge. Plenty of sides to choose from. I really never sit in here but they do have a spacious dining area. They are a little frumpy looking but I come here just for the food.

Wenny’s is located in a trouble location. Not that much parking, and if you are not paying attention you will miss the entrance to the restaurant.
The women at the counter was pleasant. She took my order and the wait was about 20 minutes or so. I ordered four fried chicken wings and house fried rice, and it came with a side of mumbo sauce. I really didn’t like the food that much. The shrimp in the house fried rice were really small and the fried chicken wings was greasy.
Will I go back. Probably not.
