Nails of the World

I truly, TRULY, try so hard to find a nail salon that just meets my basic needs that is near my home and I have yet to find that anywhere other than Chandler. I suppose I will continue to drive the 30 minutes for great nails that last! I took my daughter here on New Years Eve day, mainly because we had dinner reservations in Chandler and knew that we didn’t want to make the trek over there and then back home to go back over to Chandler yet again. I was hopeful this would be a great place! There were five nail techs when we signed in and they were all busy. We were the first two in line to wait for gel manicures; I was surprised to beat the rush on this day. My daughter was taken for her gel mani about 10 minutes after we arrived, her mani looked great! The thing is that I like going to nail salons that have OPI or Essie gels so that when I ask for a certain color that I know, want or that I am used to, they know it. This place, just gave me a plastic thing of many, many different colors. The color that I wanted was a nude, buff, almost white color; in OPI it’s called, ‘My Vampire Is So Buff’. When I asked for that, they looked at me like, ‘We don’t have any vampires here crazy one.’ This color that I chose did look close to the OPI ‘vamp’ one, but no. It was pink, as in baby pink. I did not have the patience to get picky and re-​choose a color because obviously the colors on the plastic swatch are not what is coming out of the bottle. Its just nails and as long as the mani is fine, I will survive. My daughter had her cuticles clipped to the point of bleeding 4 times. I can be a true mother bear, as my daughter is pretty quiet about these things, I watched her flinch, and wanted to just call it and walk out, but we stayed. Her nail tech didn’t apologize once and I noted that in my tip to her. My nail tech was actually very sweet and I truly would love to go back. I don’t believe its her fault that the polish is crappy; as it chipped and pulled away from the edges with in two days of the manicure. Gel should and usually does last longer if the polish is not old and of better quality. Once again, a nail place near my home that isn’t good. Boo.

Very inconsistant. Each time I’ve been here it’s mediocre at best, horrendous at worst. They don’t use inserts in the pedi bath, the tech put the Polish on so heavily; it was dull and bubbled and my cuticles were visible under the polish. I do have friends that are very happy and loyal to this place, but I’ve given it at least 6 chances and I don’t share their enthusiasm. There won’t be a 7^th.

Horrible place. Not only are they extremely rude, but the place is always dirty & their gel manicures last no more than 3 days.

So I was in need of a pedicure and manicure desperately, because my normal nail salon I go to sold there shop this past week… I am so afraid to try new places just because of bad experiences I have had before… I was over my moms house in Laveen just visiting and I asked her and my brother what nail salons are good around her area… My little brother mentioned nails of the world because he hears a lot of good things about them from friends and social media… So thank god they were open on July 4^th which I didn’t think a lot of places would be… But me and my mom went a girl by the name of Annie did my pedicure and Andy did my moms… Both awesome… And Kelly did my manicure… Oh my goodness we had a good experience, very friendly and did a great job… I so found a new nail salon…:)

Highly recommend this place! i usually see Amy but i have seen other techs when she is not in and they also do good work! prices are reasonable w/​o appt the wait can be a bit long but its worth the wait, Amy gets me in and out within 45 minutes and a great job is always done! they also have tons of gel nail polish to pick from! Love love love this place it has been my go to for a year now and dont plan on changing :)

Not the nicest place in the world, but slightly less money then most nail salons in Laveen and they did a great job! Make an appointment to wait less time. Peter did these, and they turned out great!

Walked in on a Wednesday at 10:30 for a fill, was told it was a 10 min wait, no problem. At first glance, it was very dirty. I needed a fill so bad though, I decided to wait. I went to take a look at the color selection. It was in desperate need of replacement! I tried to open one bottle and the cap came right off with out the applicator attached, still I settled for a semi decent color and sat. While waiting I was looking around to try and see a list of prices, there were none to be found. After waiting for 15 min I decided enough was enough. I put the color back and quickly got outta there. Will not be returning!

Will definitely go back. Worth the $ 5 extra for callous removal treatment. The best ever. No other place in Laveen compares. Staff is friendly and the salon was lively.

Popped in here for a quick mani while I waited for the bf to get off work for lunch. It was a Tuesday and there were only 3 technicians working, but I was seated right away.
First impressions –nail polish selection was lacking. They only had a few OPI and China Glaze colors, and I didn’t see any colors from recent collections. Bring your own nail polish if you’re looking for a specific color. The place isn’t the cleanest, but I did see my tech spray off the instruments with alcohol before using them at least.
As for the mani, it was actually pretty good for $ 12! My technician was attentive and made sure to clean up any excess nail polish. Cuticles were trimmed well without trimming the actual skin around my nail (hate when places do that!).
Overall, decent place to get a quick mani!

I wanted to go here with 2 girlfriends because of the good reviews on their pedicures. At 2:45pm on a Saturday, we walked in, barely got acknowledged, waited for what seemed like an eternity in the crowded entrance (and that was with only 3 other people besides ourselves) which smelled STRONGLY of chemicals on a beautiful day when the door could have been open. There was no music or anything to help the time pass. The prices for services were not listed anywhere and there were not price brochures. We ended up leaving what seemed more like a ‘chop shop’ and headed over to Laveen Nails. Hoping for a better experience there…

I got a gift certificate here for my birthday. I went this morning and got a pedicure. I had made an appointment given it is Saturday. I had a man, and told him to please be gentle and that I was very ticklish on my feet. He was very good. I got a scrub as well on my legs and a really nice LIGHT massage on my legs, which is good as I dont like when people are too forceful. I think I will be going back here. just dont know the guys name who did my tootsie, but I will be wanting him back next time!

I’m surprised this place doesn’t have more reviews. It’s the best nail salon I found in phoenix after searching for almost three years. I’ve only had my nails done by Leon, but he is bomb. He always hooks me up with nails that don’t lift for at least two weeks (I go faithfully every two weeks so I do not know how much longer they can go without lifting). I got a pedicure once but I always go to another place for that. The pedicure was average and they lady’s who did it was nice. The owner Amy is very sweet and stays open late for customers. Great customer service and great nails. I noticed there are people always waiting, so it’s good for business but I would make an appointment to be on the safe side. Also, they offer a lot of designs for nails and toes. I don usually get designs but they look pretty.
Remeber to bring cash for a tip because you cannot add it to your card– that’s the only con so far…

I regularly visit this place and am always happy. They lost a few technitions, but always pull through with great customer service. I have been to other Laveen nail places… but this one by far exceeds the rest! I will always be a customer there!

I will NEVER stray from this place again!!!
