As an addict to Lollia scents and perfume, I figured I would stop into Bloom during my trip to Lawrence. Upon entering the shop, its entrance interested me as it had steps leading up to the front door and while the shop is very small and a little crowded, Bloom carries a lot of perfume, candles, and bath products that I can only order online or find in Anthropologie… And there I saw it in the back! My perfume!!! The prices are not inflated either! The same you would find online for the same products… As for their customer service, maybe I was overly observant because of prior reviews warning me, but as I was exploring the shop, I could feel the girl staring at the perfume in my hand, but for as crowded as the store was, I could understand how they might have problems with shoplifting. I give it a thumbs up for the selection and unique products, but I’m not a fan of the watching eyes O. O

With all my heart I want to give this place a better rating since I LOVE their products sold here. But the customer service you experience when walking into the store and shopping around significantly harms the overall experience and therefore affects the rating. I have been to this store at least 5 times. The employees are trained by the overzealous manager to follow you around… every second you are in there. Not everyone is a thief! I seriously don’t appreciate being followed around so closely by an employee of a store so SMALL where they could literally see me from anywhere in the store, let alone if I am pocketing something! Like I said, they sell great products(at high prices)…but it almost isn’t worth going due to the service and how uncomfortable they make you feel.

bloom is basically the local version of Bath & Body Works. You can find everything you’d ever want or need for your bath needs — bubbles, oils, soaps, lotions, as well as robes, slippers, nighties and other post bath lounge wear. Staff are always attentive and ready to give you a sample of their newest product!

Bloom is every woman’s luxury dream shop – minus the diamonds and pearls. They sell lingerie and bath products meant to relax and rejuvenate your tired bones. So why the three stars? I was not only ignored by the sales woman who was old enough to know better, but their conversation wasn’t meant to be overheard and didn’t appreciate the TMI. I mean, I used to work retail and I know when friends stop by it’s hard to not want to talk to them. But you’re also working, and customers should always come first. I wasn’t too peeved because I was just browsing, though if I was looking for something it would’ve been hard to interrupt. They had cute stuff, the scents were amazing! and they had cute fuzzy socks I was contemplating(but then again, that would’ve meant having to interrupt her conversation). There’s plenty to choose from in the bath department – bath oils, lotions, soaps, bath bombs, and salts. If you are looking to spruce up your ritual of bathing, come here to find some soothing scents.

Bloom Bath and Body is the perfect place to pamper yourself. Loungewear, jammies, robes — you can find lots of soft, silky nightware to drape on your body. Bloom also has soaps, oils, bubble bath and accessories for your oversized tub at home. After all, what’s a jacuzzi-style bath without a inflated terry pillow behind your head? Exactly. There’s not much for guys at this store. But who cares. Go across the street and eat some wings or something and let the women Bloom!
