Fat Freddy’s Pizza & Wings

This restaurant is by far the worst at delivering food. The food is good so I continue to give them second chances but EVERY SINGLE TIME something goes wrong with the delivery. If you want to eat 2 hours after you place your order then go ahead and order delivery from here.

Ordering delivery from here takes a minimum 2 hours and about 99% of the time, something is wrong with your order.
God forbid you want to call in about your order — people who work there could give less of a crap about customers. Not like I’m trying to give you my money or anything…

We are from california visiting and must say very happy with this pizza joint. On a saturday night delivery was only an hour and the pizza was piping hot! We just told them we were at the holiday inn and our room number and they came straight to the door! We will definitely eat here again if we come back to lawrence.

It seems that the quality has been declining over the past few months from what it has been in years past. I hope they turn it around, I used to really enjoy this place.

Wanted fat Freddy’s. Live south of Tonganoxie, was going to meet the delivery driver at the DMV in Lawrence. Owner says «that never works!» Funny how all of the «not recommended reviews» are one star. Fuck fat Freddy’s. I will call Casey’s. Keep forgetting that I live in Kansas, where customer service is «fuck you if you don’t like it.»

Love this place. I have ordered delivery from them a couple times already and the wings are to die for! Thank you Fat Freddy’s! Next time, I’m getting breakfast.

I normally order from Fat Freddys once a week and have ALWAYS had a great experience… until tonight. Tonight my Bacon Cheeseburger came without bacon & almost raw in the middle. And my Dr Pepper arrived as Diet Dr Pepper. So so sad :(

Their pizzas are crazy and interesting. They’re good too! My favorite thing there are their Jody’s cheese balls. I am hooked on them!

We order from Fat Freddy’s often and it always seems to be hit or miss. One weekend we ordered chicken fingers and mac and cheese bites and they delicious, some of the best we’ve ever had. We ordered the same thing a week later and got a total different product as though it was from a different restaurant.
The chips and queso are delicious and the wings are always juicy.
However, the toasted ravioli, mushrooms, and pizza are not the best.
The curly fries are great if you get them hot but don’t order them for delivery as they arrive luke warm at best simply due to the process of delivery.

in my opinion, Lawrence has only two good pizza places: Minskys and Pizza shuttle. I am happy to add Fat Freddy’s to the list. I love the variety in the menu and the pizza is excellent. No complaints.

The pizza can sometimes be off! In general, it is a brilliant late night drunken snack, and the leftovers don’t disappoint. Always go for the jalapeño poppers, they are delicious and I’ve never been let down by them!

Fat Freddy’s consistently provides excellent food and service at very reasonable prices. I’ve had the pizzas, salads, wings, pepperoni rolls, hot dogs and some signature items — they never disappoint. I highly recommend the Hangover Helper, which is a delicious combination of breakfast items smothered in gravy. My personal favorite, however, is Freddy’s take on cheesy breadsticks: Pokey Stix. The best part is that even the leftovers will be good for a couple of days. Occasionally the order will take quite a while to arrive, but it is worth the wait. Like any restaurant, they have rare bad days when things aren’t quite what I hope they’ll be, but they still earn my five stars. The only real problem is you’ll wonder where all your money went.

I am disappointed in Fat Freddy’s. They HAD the best homemade mozzarella sticks, and I was craving them tonight. I ordered them, a salad, and boneless wings for delivery. When I opened the cheese sticks… They were just your standard ones from the supermarket freezer. Boring and not worth the money. So sad. I do still love the Triple F wing sauce, and the salad was good (although it came with black olives which weren’t in the description. yuck.).

I’ve ordered fat freddys probably 100 times in the last year. I love their pizza and hokey pokey sticks. My boyfriend loves their sticky whiskey wings. We almost always get it delivered to our house and it can be a good 45– 1 hr and 15 minutes before we get our food. One thing I have been noticing in past orders is they always forget our blue cheese, ranch or marinara sauce, even though we paid extra for it. So before you leave the store, or the delivery guy leaves make sure you check your order and get what you paid for! The staff is always nice about fixing our issue but it can be really annoying.

I thought I’d try something new tonight. I wish I hadn’t. I ordered the boneless wings (mild) sauce and a 10′ pizza. Delivery took about an hour which is fair since there is a KU game tonight.
The wings were soggy. The meat was a bit rubbery and they were honestly awful. I’ve never had a soggy wing before.
The pizza was a disappointment as well. The size is good, but the taste is lackluster. Nothing special. Very bland.
My canned soda was warm.
Overall, a waste of money.
The delivery girl was very friendly, so the one star I gave it goes to her.

We’ve ordered from here four or five times. It’s really a mixed bag.
We LOVED the mozzarella sticks, but then last time they were totally different — small tiny ones you’d buy from the frozen food aisle instead of the regular-​size ones.
The wings are usually good and the crack sauce is delicious. But sometimes you get regular wings and sometimes they seem very small and you don’t get a full order.
The spaghetti and meatballs was great, but we’ve only ordered it once. I’d totally skip the sub with the tater tots and corn. Just. No.
So try your luck and hope for the best.

Possibly the only good thing about this place is the extended hours on the weekend. When you say the pizza will be ready in 15 minutes and it takes you close to 40 its unacceptable. Cardboard with cheese taste. I gave this place 3 chances. Bad pizza every time.

Pretty good. Nice variety of the menu. I really liked the corn dogs. A co-​worker ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and they were giant! Some seriously big balls.
Anyway, give ‘em a try!

The pizza and wings were hot, fresh and delicious. Freddy I saw some reviews on other sites that you responded to and my advice. don’t waste your time. Your food speaks for itself. The customer service was friendly, delivery guy was very nice and the food got here quickly. I’m impressed and will certainly be a repeat customer. Keep it up!

When I heard that the Gumby’s in Lawrence was closed I was pretty bummed because I loved their pepperoni rolls and it’s pretty hard to find them in Lawrence, KS. I was excited to hear that Fat Freddy’s was opening in its place and was run by someone who used to manage Gumby’s a few years ago.
I was even more excited to hear that they still had pepperoni rolls! Alas, they are not as good as the pepperoni rolls that Gumby’s used to have. The dough that they use is not as good as Gumby’s, and they do not reheat in the oven very well (reheated pepperoni rolls from Gumby’s were even better in my opinion!). We also got hokey pokey sticks (previously called just pokey sticks at Gumbys), and they were better than the pepperoni rolls, but still just OK. They also did not give us very much sauce (1 small condiment container of either ranch OR marinara for 6 pepperoni rolls or a 12 inch hokey pokey sticks). The ranch, however, was very good ranch. its just too bad there wasnt more of it.
In the end, it felt like I was a cheap knock-​off version of Gumby’s. I might go back here again, but it will be to try their calzones or their pizzas and not for their pepperoni rolls.
