Pizza Shuttle

I love Pizza Shuttle Always have, always will. well, not anymore. For Lawrence at least. I’m a regular at the Pizza Shuttle in Manhattan and I’ve had nothing but amazing experiences from them! Great pizza, great customer service, love them. So when I visited Lawrence and found out they had a Pizza Shuttle, I called em right away and ordered a 14″ Pepperoni pizza. I am beyond disappointed. Delivery time was meh, okay, average. Nothing to really complain about that. But the food. dear god. It definitely wasn’t like the one in Manhattan! There was so, so much cheese. I usually don’t complain about too much cheese, but lord have mercy this was too much! They barely put any pepperoni on, maybe about two pepperoni’s per slice and they were all bunched together in one corner. The cup of sauce I got on the side obviously spilled and was all over the cup and some slices of pizza. The crust was also burnt. No. Just no. This Pizza Shuttle needs to take some lessons from the one in Manhattan.

The pizza is ok but for delivery they will not give you ground pepper or parmesian cheese so for 10.00 plus a 3.00 tip not highly recommended. If I wouldn’t have been rushed for time I would have cooked a much better tasting and higher quality Papa Murphys pizza. I called the store to confirm their policy and the matron that answered was just as terse.

I LOOOVE Pizza Shuttle. The food is good and consistent. The pizza is always DELISH but the breadsticks are amazing. It would be on my list for a last meal. Lol.
Generous toppings, fresh ingredients. I like PS because it’s not the cookie cutter big box franchise type pizza. I’ve never had a bad pizza at PS.
They offer online ordering and that helps a great deal. They have walk-​in specials at their store. The store is cool because of the funky, hippie artwork. The ceiling tiles are painted by different artists. Very cool place and very local.
Caution, though, about payment because they ONLY take cash. There have been many nights I’ve wanted to order but only had credit card. Hate it when I don’t have Pizza Shuttle cash on hand.
If there was anything I would change, it would be to add onto theî menu. Sandwiches, pasta or wings. It would be a nice addition.
Bottom line is that they have terrific pizza, good customer service and is highly recommended. Just bring cash.

Do not place an online order, call them! I placed an order online, waited an hour and the food never arrived. When I called the restaurant there was a lot of discussion on the other end of the phone. When the guy finally got back to me he claimed that they never received the order! I love this place, so it really made me mad. I have given them five stars in another review, I just wanted people to be aware of the online mix ups.

Bad service and bad food.
I get charged different amounts each time, and the managers response is «Oh well you should have taken care of it yesterday, its the night managers fault not mine»
You are so quick to defense you dont even care to look at receipts.
You guys look like you are pissed and drugged up, never going back there again.

This place has best consumer services ever and pizza at great price been eating here since I had teeth only had one problem in 26 years forgot my ranch one time now when I order they make sure I have what I want Pizza Shuttle I love You

After I ate the wings I was so happy. They were so yummy in tummy. I love wings. I love pizza shuttle. Wow the pizza guy just called I am having s great night. I really love life this is just great. My tummy is happy and I am happy. Pizza shuttle is happiness.

So the wife and I were worn out from a draining day and decided to order Pizza Shuttle delivered. Well I ordered online and have an email with my exact order and they got one pizza wrong. So I called to get I resolved and get the correct one for my wife delivered. They didn’t offer to do anything and asked if I had eaten any of it yet. I said yes she took a bite of a piece to see if the pineapple was under the cheese but it was not. They said they would trade us for the correct pizza as long as we didn’t eat any. Good thing they sent us two of the same pizza but just absurd to offer to trade us for their screw up. Just flat out ridiculous that I had to ask for them to fix it but they really wouldn’t give me the correct pizza without me giving them the incorrect pizza first. It’s not like they can give that pizza to somebody else so they basically just wanted to be difficult. Then a few hours later I go to walk my dog and sure enough the pizza that they demanded to get back as trade for the correct pizza was sitting on the ground next to the cars in my parking lot. Oh and not a single apology from the person on the phone or the one delivering. They aren’t known for customer service so I shouldn’t expect much. Sad that I used to enjoy this place until it comes to customer service which they have always sucked in, they just didnt mess my stuff up bad enough for me to ask them to fix it. How sad is that. Needless to say they lost our business.

If you like mediocre pizza that is a Lawrence staple go here. About the best thing on the menu is the cream cheese pizza which I hear no one else does quite like Pizza Shuttle. Give this place a shot if you don’t mind hippies making pizza with no gloves.

The bread part is really bad, and most of the time the part that actually got toppings is about 50−60% of the pizza, with the other 40−50% being charred crust. So you might get four or five bites of pizza and end up with a box full of leftover burned bread.
And even knowing that, I still order from them occasionally because they do extra basil as a topping, which is so damn good on pineapple pizza that it’s sort of worth it. The pizza is cheap, but honestly — not much cheaper than Pizza Hut once you take into account that the edible part of the pie is about half of it. In that sense it’s pretty expensive, like double the cost of a personal pie at PH for the same amount of edible chow.
And yet. Sometimes, it’s just what you want.

Pretty good pizza for a good price. My wife and I ate there for the first time on a whim and came away impressed. They pile on the ingredients and it tastes pretty good. I think their pizza is better than the chain pizza stores… Will return!!!

I no longer live in Lawrence but spent 20 years of my life there and pizza shuttle is by far the best value and pizza in town! I find my self craving it every now and again now that I live in Omaha but every time I’m in town visiting pizza shuttle is on my itinerary! Such an amazing piece of an awesome little town.

I hate walking in there and all of the workers look like the were sentenced to work there against their will for the rest of their lives! :[
I still come back when I’m in town — but don’t ever for once take this little gem for granted! :‘D

Cheesesticks

The prices are excellent, but they were lacking of flavor. In delivery, terms they were fast and the pizza was hot.

I’ve changed my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars because the pizza was loaded this time, the price for the walk in special did go 25 cents but it was worth every red penny. The place hasn’t changed much otherwise next time I am thinking about getting the brandy b’s cheese sticks.

It’s not the best pizza in town but it’s ok and very cheap. Today was my second order. The first was near when I moved here. I should have asked for extra sauce on my pizza. The cheese sticks are great. Loved them even better than the pizza. They are also very fast at delivering.

Lets face it… if you are on death row, order from another place… it’s your last meal but if you are on a budget… this is your place. The price is great, the food is not bad and they are not chintzy with the toppings. Most times when I call, I am told 30 – 40 minutes, they seem to get it to me in under 25…
If you’re hungry and enjoy good pie for a little dough… this is the place to go

This is by far the best pizza delivery in town. The price is great and they usually have many great specials. Go with the pizza or farm shuttle pizzas!

Great pizza at an even better price. Bring cash and eat inside to check out the cool, retro painted ceiling tiles.

Oh yes… I used to Shuttle it up all the time in my college days. I mean, really, it’s an acceptable pizza at a great price. When I was in college, I think it was $ 3.75 for a one-​topping 10-​inch with drink, cash or check only. Nothing has changed, except it’s now $ 4.75 for the same things (and same payment methods). Oh well…$ 1 over the last 10 years ain’t bad.
My lunch visit consisted of me walking in, ordering quickly from the friendly guy, and getting my food about 7 minutes later. Cream cheese and bacon was on the menu today — the cream cheese is super creamy, and the bacon is plentiful but cheap tasting. No biggy… what do you expect?
Is it as good as it was in the $ 3.75 days? Almost. Look, it’s not a great pizza by any means, but it’s a solid, quick, cheap pizza for student and adult alike. I probably won’t return for many years, because I just forget about this place and never need a 10″ pizza for lunch (I only work in Lawrence, and not for much longer)…but it’s a fine place.
