Dope enough to keep it real. Huge selection of all the classics. Great store if you were kid of the 90s. Wish they had a XXX/Adults Only video section.

Great local gamestore Been going to this location for over 5 years, and their staff has always been the most friendly in town. They are generally knowledgeable about video games, current and older. And to top it off, they aren’t constantly shoving magazine subscriptions down your throat like another not so local game store in town.

We stopped by on our way through lawrence. We bought a ps3 game but they put the xbox version in the box. The following week, we came back to exchange it and they said that they didnt have a ps3 copy and that we couldnt get a cash refund. What a joke. Theyve got a bunch of idiots working the counter

As an avid video game collector with a couple hundred physical games spanning all manner of consoles, it’s fantastic to find a store that can boast this kind of selection. While their PS3 and 360 selections are quite good, their selection on older consoles is absolutely staggering. I spent the most amount of time in the PSOne, PS2, and Xbox sections and was surprised to discover a copy of just about every title I could think of. In fact, I killed about an hour going from section to section seeking out the rarest titles I could think of, then ogling over the box-art, which I could find 8 times out of 10. I picked up a couple of titles I had been searching for for some time, as well as one I was surprised to discover even existed. My copies were immaculate, with nary a scratch on the discs and all the original box-art(which is very important to me as a collector). Since my visit four months ago, I’ve played through those three games and they’ve performed perfectly. The downside is that the premium selection and the premium condition of the products comes at a premium price. I was shocked to find that titles were uniformly MUCH higher than I was used to seeing. I saw some titles there going for 45, even 60, dollars when I’ve seen the same titles going for 20 in other stores. Personally, I am willing to pony up for some of the rarer titles if I can’t find them elsewhere or it’s a particularly mint copy, but I understand that others may not. If you are a collector though, you’ll appreciate this store. They take care of their stock and they know a lot about games.

Game Nut is a semi-unique store in a video gaming world that is being overtaken by GameStop. Independently owned and operated, Game Nut is a shop where video game enthusiasts can come to buy and sell used games and DVDs. While GameStop has divested themselves of older console and handheld systems for favor of only the newest and most-prominent titles, Game Nut has a substantial available catalog of Xbox, PlayStation2, GameCube, DreamCast, and other systems and accessories, alongside new titles from Xbox360, PS3, and Wii. In addition, Game Nut does a substantial stock and trade in DVDs, rivaling chains like Half Price Books in size and selection. One feature of Game Nut that sets it far apart from the competition is the Game Loft area. Upstairs from the shop, Game Nut has a large lounge area populated with chairs, game systems, and large screen televisions. For hourly fees(reduced with longer-term subscriptions) customers can play any video game available from the store’s used selections. This is a great way to sample a game you are unsure about buying, or is a fine place to spend a little time with a friend or friends playing multi-player over the store’s network.
