Waffelino – The Waffle Bar

Tasty waffles with a large selection of toppings lemon and oatmeal waffles were on point.

A very nice family owns and runs this restaurant. Everyone is very friendly. The food is very good. My children especially like the rainbow waffles with sprinkles on them. Though these were not on the menu, my children asked for them and the nice lady was very willing to oblige. The staff here seems to be willing to bend over backwards for their customers. The place is very clean including the bathroom. Clean, great service and great food… who can ask for more.

Really was curious about this place… Good idea! Liked all of the choices of waffles and toppings. Waffles were good, but portions are small. I had the red velvet waffle. Thought it was very good, but left feeling hungry. We got a smoothy which was kind of watery. Hubby had the oatmeal waffles. He said they were good. Very pricey for this type of food!

Best waffle place in town! I’m a regular here. Warm, friendly staff. Huge variety of waffles– definitely my family’s favorite brunch destination.

Please order the Amaretto Waffle with strawberry ice cream, whip cream and fudge. If you are feeling guilty, throw some bananas on top that way you get your daily dose of potassium.
Another fab thing, their catering. Marcel is easy to work with and wants your even to go seamlessly.

I went with my wife yesterday to waffelino for a snack using my

wife ordered a tuna waffle and I ordered a chocolate chip waffle. My wife thought putting tuna on a waffle was strange and I agree with her. Her sandwich was ok especially the homemade tartar
waffle was good but nothing extraordinary. Service was good and responsive and the owner was friendly. They definitely need more sugar free options on their menu. The price to value ratio here is about average for a kosher restaurant of its type. All in all this was an ok experience but nothing to write home about.

Ordered once a coffee to go. Spend $ 2 on it. When I left the restaurant I tasted it… than I thought maybe I didn’t taste it the right way… tasted it again… through it in the next garbage.
I have to say that it was about a year before today, but I think not much changed because this place is never crowded… the second star is because I hope they will change the management soon…

This place was cool! I came in for a waffle and the first thing I noticed was the music playing. It was an international mix of music and made me feel comfortable. I couldn’t decide between two flavors and so the nice woman behind the counter suggested I get half and half. Which was perfect!
I was going home and so I got it to go. The woman was nice enough to pack all my toppings into little to go cups.
Now the taste… even taken home, microwaved and eaten 3 hours later… it was delicious! I wish there was more sugar free options, but other than that it was a good place to grab a waffelino!

I was walking down central before I left the country last month and saw a new place was coming. I am now back in the country and had to try this new arrived restaurant.
Well I can’t really call it a restaurant because all they serve are waffles.
I like the wall color (honeydew melon) I would say there are about 15 tables to sit at.
Went here on a Saturday night it was packed and extremely loud and couldn’t even hear my mother who was sitting across the table.
I love red velvet so I decided to go for that flavor.
While it looked like they has over 40 toppings to choose from none appealed to me.
They had all kinds of nuts, peanut butter, sprinkles, crushed oreos and the list goes on.
My first problem: although they had tons of toppings they has no fresh fruit!!!
How can you have no fresh fruit in a waffle place? They had canned fruit cocktail, canned pears, that canned sugary thick strawberry and blueberry topping, and dried bananas. NO FRESH FRUIT! I was disturbed.
The waffles are $ 5.99 and come with two toppings. Considering waffles are one of the most inexpensive things to make I consider 6 bucks for a waffle a tad bit pricey. If you want a small scoop of ice cream it is $ 2 extra.
Okay, back to the red velvet waffle. It wasn’t much of a red velvet anything.
In order to be red velvet you need three criteria:
1. A deep red color… (this waffle was pink, no where near red)
2. A chocolate flavor because cocoa powder is added… (no chocolate was tasted)
3. Cream cheese frosting of some sort… (no cream cheese was to be found)
So I am sorry Waffelino but you can not call that a red velvet waffle. What you can call it is a normal waffle dyed pink.
Despite all the bashing, the waffle was a good waffle.
Okay, one more thing to say. Behind the counter where all the waffles were being made was very messy and disheveled. Batter was everywhere and to many workers were behind the counter. How many workers does it take to make a waffle? Apparently ten.
I would come back if they added fresh fruit, cleaned up a little bit, and fixed/​added more waffle flavors.
Otherwise good luck Waffelino. It is very hard to survive when you can only offer one item to customers.

so we figured what have we got to lose lets give this waffle place a try
it was explained there are 4 basic waffles
including lemon and red velvet
my daughter and I had this deep discussion what exactly is red velvet I said its chocolate flavor and she said no cake
Waffelino guy said yes cake,
BUT I know really red velvet is made with cocoa so isnt that a chocolate kind of flavor?

you can pick from many toppings including hagen daz ice creams (lots of yummy flavors) the toppings are parve except for the ice creams which are not Cholov for those that are in the need
