It is what it is, which is a small sandwich and fries place. No salads. Outdoor dining available.

We visited this hidden gem after an overnight stay at the casino. The burgers were great and the atmosphere was cozy and casual, very laid back. Service was terrific. Definitely recommend this place for a great burger!!!

Good burger! Had the Lawrenceburger, good big greasy burger. Love the mix of cheeses they use — makes it ooey gooey good. Onion rings could have been cooked a smudge longer — they were not a crunchy as should be. The ranch was homemade and had great flavor. Hubs had sweet potato waffle fries with caramel dipping sauce — he gave it thumbs up. Waitress was very helpful and gave great advice on the area.

Best burger and fries around by far… Neat little place. No wi-fi which is not very cool but the food and service are very good

The food was delicious! The waffle fries were a bit soggy but overall the burger was delicious. The service was slow though, and was frustrating, which is why I give four stars instead of five.

Small place in town, but not just an average greasy spoon. The burgers are great and the service was unusually good. They grill burgers the old-fashioned way, where they can be seen. There are 8 – 10 stools at a small bar area and can seat maybe 50-ish total, but it looked like they also had some additional patio seating. Creative name for the place… Lawrenceburgers, located in Lawrenceburg. That’s not hard to remember. I’d driven by this little town many times while on my way eastward towards Cincinnati, but had never stopped. We scheduled our stay at the Doubletree Hotel for this trip. We were delighted at how ‘cute’ the town was and at all it had to offer for its size.

This.Place.Is.HEAVEN! My parents brought me here for the first time… I want to live in a box in the parking lot so I can eat here every day, without leaving. I got a burger with hot pepper cheese, creamy fresh goat cheese, and what I can only say was a slab of cheddar. Dear God, I had a mouthgasm… I suggest you get there quickly, or you’ll be in line behind ME…

Awesome atmosphere. Awesome burgers and fries. Great prices. Will definitely go back. I like the booths with the Tvs and the peanuts waiting on you at the door.

Sat down and tried to eat here but we were turned away. They said they were closing due to snow. Which is understandable… except it was not snowing??? And I heard them taking new food orders as we left. It looked kinda dirty though(like the other reviewers said) so maybe it was a blessing in disguise. Based on the other reviews here, it seems like they often turn people away on Sundays for dubious reasons.

This was our first visit, seat yourself and help yourself to a basket of peanuts too! The place was full so we sat at the bar which was great cause we got to see our food prepared. The burger was fantastic and the turkey burger was great too. Both came with fries which were cooked perfectly. Today’s special was fourth guy eats free… Too bad there were only two of us. We have driver by here many times and after our experience today we will not drive by again. Great place for lunch with a great atmosphere and food. Service was excellent. Thank you for a great lunch, we will return.

Good bar fare but not for the picky eaters or hygiene obsessed. It’s a dive bar dressed in a trendy exterior. There are some ceiling tiles with water damage, sticky tables, and peanuts on the floor but hey, I guess that’s what kinda makes the place too. Good shrimp, good burgers, and a good chicken sandwich. Huge portion of boneless wings, they were pretty good(basic bagged/frozen kind that BDub’s serves). Don’t sit at the table right in front of the door to the patio, you will have water dripping from the ceiling onto your plate or head. Either one is weird. Overall good quality bar food, sticky tables, and really reasonable prices.

We were over in Indiana for a bridal shower and wanted to grab lunch beforehand. I used Unilocal to find some local restaurants. The first one was Lawrenceburger.(old Whisky Tavern) It had mixed reviews but I thought i’d give it a go. From the outside it looks like nothing special, but the inside is really cute, but a little small. We waited a bit for a table to open up. Lauren loved the free popcorn and peanuts. So much that she filled up on those and didn’t want to eat after that. I really liked the tables! Each one has a personal TV with remote. This was perfect as she was too full too each. She watched Family Feud while I ate. I ordered a burger with BBQ and goat cheese. The burger was thick and juicy, but could have used a little more seasoning. The weird combo was my fault. I really wanted goat cheese, but they didn’t have any sweet preserves or jam to put on it, so I thought BBQ would work since its sweeter. It didn’t. But like I said, that’s all on me. The bun was great, and those fries. HOLYHECK. best fries I have ever had! Sweet potato fries with a caramel dipping sauce. SOGOOD. I’m not over in Lawrenceburg ever, but if I ever am again, I will no doubt come back and eat here again. I’m dreaming about those fries right now. Oh yeah– and the sweet tea was great! Real sugared up southern sweet tea. I had three glasses!

When sitting down I noticed how sticky our table was. The servers didn’t know the menu well, and couldn’t awnser my questions on many of the specialty burgers and were slow at bringing out our food and refilling the drinks. With the looks if the inside plus the loud music it seemed more like a bar than burger joint. When we got our food my burger was ice cold, and for what I paid was rather small.

Wish I could rate this place but we showed up for dinner at 6pm on a Sunday and were stopped at the door and told that they had«run out of food». We clarified that that meant they were out of burgers. How Does a burger restaurant run out of burgers?

Love that this place is simple and delicious — burgers are really fantastic(I’ve been here twice and the second time = awesome) Big, juicy, fresh off the grill — lots of fun toppings. I love that the menu is small and they’re able to focus on doing things well. A great joint to grab a burger! And, the cheese fries were smothered in cheese — yum!

My running club hit Lawrenceburger after doing Mud-Stash at Perfect North. This is a charming little place. The interior is welcoming and inviting. The main restaurant area has three or four tables and several booths. My club took up about twenty-six spots and I would estimate total capacity is about forty total. There are also five seats at the bar and a nice patio area that has a few more tables. Lawrenceburger specializes in burgers and this place didn’t disappoint. There are signature burgers or you can build your own with gourmet toppings for an additional charge. Some of these additional toppings were minced garlic, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, chipotle sauce, brandy peppercorn sauce, horseradish cream sauce, bacon, goat cheese and fried jalapenos. I went with a burger with swiss and american cheese(complimentary and included on all burgers), grilled onions, grilled mushrooms and the horseradish cream sauce.(See my picture!) My burger was juicy, savory and had the right amount of greasiness to make it absolutely messy and delicious. The only problem I had with my food was that the sauce compromised the integrity of the bun and it quickly began falling apart. No worries, friends. I was able to fight the good fight and devour the entire thing. Accompanying my burger was our good friend, french fries, which were crispy, lightly salted and served as a great complement to my burger. Lawrenceburger does has other sandwiches like pulled pork, sloppy joes, chicken and portabella mushroom. Some of the other sides I saw were creamy cole slaw, sea salt fries and sweet potato waffle fries drizzled with caramel. They also offer some salads and a few other things that I can’t recall as I was channeling my inner burger. This fine establishment also offers one beer on tap, several bottled beers, wine and a small selection of liquors. They have a daily drink special on the large chalkboard overseeing the restaurant area. Add in a few tv’s and you have a burger joint ready to feed the masses. My lone complaint was that service was slow. This is totally understandable, though, since our party took up most of the restaurant and the staff only had two or three servers at this time. I will say the staff was friendly and polite and the manager did accommodate us as a friend called ahead of time to make a reservation. Under normal circumstances I’m sure service is much quicker and attentive. All in all I left this place with a full stomach and a sense of satisfaction. Even better, burger, fries and three beers cost just $ 16. I can live with that and suggest stopping in if you happen to be in the area and are searching for a cozy place that knows how to «bring it» when it comes to burgers.

So, we were trying to find somewhere to grab some great food and beer before our canoeing journey on the Ohio. While I am not sure about the selection of restaurants in Lawrenceburg, I wasn’t really impressed. The décor was nice, it had a good dark rustic feel. It was very small. I am very turned off by places that offer peanuts and have the shells all over the floor. This is one of those places. I feel like it just always make it feel a little dirty. The waitress was nice enough. The food, it was just OK. I had the portobello burger and I think Doug had something with blue cheese and bacon. We both had fries. I know you should expect some grease with a burger and fries, but this was a bit much. It almost felt like a greasy spoon that was trying too hard to be trendy. Although, I feel like if you just want to have a few beers, this would be great place to hang out.
