We love this place. The food is as amazing as the service. We are a loud and rowdy group and they still love us and welcome us back each time. We go here for all of our special occasions. Bonus its a BYOB! hope they never change

I know know why I stopped coming here. The service is great, unfortunately the food has a lot to be desired.

We’re local and decided to give Leonardo’s a try for our anniversary. The staff was very friendly, from greeting to seating and throughout the meal. Attentive, but they didn’t «hover». The atmosphere was middle-of-the-road… nothing tacky, nothing posh, just clean and acceptable. So far, so good. Our entrees really upped our opinion of Leonardo’s — other reviewers say the portions are large, and it’s true. You get a lot of food for the money and be prepared to take some home if you enjoyed it! Big plates, and they’re loaded up. My eggplant parmigiana was an absolute treat… the sauce was tasty and the eggplant was so perfectly done, just tender and delicious. I’ve gotten bitter eggplant at other restaurants and thankfully it was done right at Leonardo’s. My wife’s chicken francese was also delightfully prepared… quality chicken, nicely breaded, and tasty garlic-butter sauce. We finished it off with a tiramisu each, which our server recommended highly. Definitely an appropriate recommendation — it was dynamite. Prices were fair and service was good, and the meal was fantastic. We’ll definitely come back. I could live on their eggplant parm, personally. So good.

My favorite restaurant with BYOB! Delicious prepared to order meals and they even accommodate my gluten free needs. Friendly and courteous and always a pleasurable experience.

Amazing! The owner opened up the back dining room just for my guest and I! The food was perfectly made to order, generous portions and great service. Will definitely be frequenting this place.

Great place. My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for a decade, when it was Lamberti’s. Food is very consistent and the wait staff always attentive. Robert the owner makes it a pleasure to spend money on a meal at his restaurant, he is a good guy that always is concerned about the dining experience for his patrons. Parties are well catered here as well.

Great food and service. I always like how the server will tell you that they will make any dish the way you want it. Accommodating and home style feel.

This place is good. Don’t let the naysayers tell you otherwise. I’ve been to Italy, as an ambitious culinary student. And no, this place is not Italy, but it feels close to it. The pleasant welcome, the warm atmosphere, great foundations. The food is good, fried calamari was tender and crispy, a little light on the seasoning. The flatbread coated in marinara and pesto was a nice touch. Salads were standard issue, comes with the meal. For entrées my party got the shrimp and scallops over linguine in a cream sauce, chicken florentine, and fusilli al arrabiata. The first two dishes were delicious, my dish was just ok. Not really how I remembered arrabbiata, supposed to be a spicy tomato and red chili sauce. Instead, got a tomato and banana peppers sauce. Not bad, just not what I was looking for. Dessert is worth it if you have the room, go for the homemade tiramisu. Overall, great service, good food. Come get your Italian fix here.

Friendly, efficient service. Balanced, well designed menu Intelligently creative specials. Spotlessly consistent execution. Whether I’m in the mood for light grazing, full-on comfort classics or inventive variation … Leonardo’s hits the mark. Just ate an amazing spinach stuffed filet mignon. I’ll write more later … there’s a bit of Gorgonzola sauce calling my name. … Later has come: Fried gnocchi in Gorgonzola & cream sauce. Seriously, fried potato dumpling clouds covered in real honest-to-cow cream and piquant, salty delicious blue cheese. No. It’s not«lite.»(Praise be.) Yes. I have enough to brazenly carry a container home for later. How else should comfort food be? If it’s this dish that would be COMFORTFOOD!

sorry to spoil the vibe here, but Leonardo’s is not worth the stars. too much raw cream in everything, slow service, and a religious owner whose views i don’t care to know while i’m hosting my international guests! # BYOB. Thank goodness someone brought beers for us. too bad some of them wanted wine. # raw«bread» ew, doughey and wet. not right. # so much raw cream !! # cream sun-dried cream tomato cream sauce served with creamy raviolis sheesh. take the time, buy fresh tomatoes, cook them down and make a good cream sauce. it takes hours or days, not minutes with a scoop from a jar of dried tomatoes and a glug-glug-glug of the cream jug! # alfredo sauce bland, waaaay to much raw cream! wtf! # nothing wrong with being religious, but as the owner, when you come to our table for your once-in-the-night stop, don’t ask us what we think of the current pope! ### service was SLLOOWW! left us for 15 minutes before taking our order. left us for 30 minutes after dropping our food.

* We had a great party there! The food was good. The price was great. The staff was good. The owner was great! We held a party for 40+ people. Had a full Italian meal, salad, pasta, entrée, dessert, coffee/tea. A good time was had by all. The food was plentiful. Not subtle/fine, but entirely enjoyable. Great bread and great dessert(but that could be just me!) I had chicken parm, which was ordinary. My husband had chicken Abruzzi, which was better. This is a BYOB place.(Great for us, since we had the booze we wanted without paying restaurant per glass mark up.) The best part of this place is the owner. He was the perfect host. We all felt like we were at home, except people kept putting food in front of us! The worst thing about this place is finding it. Ask about work-around for GPS problems. I got there fine by using the full address, including zip code. But there are several Brunswick(street, pkwy, rd) and two zip codes. Two people got lost en route. It’s on Business Route 1, about ten minutes south of Princeton, next to Route 1 Diner. The Diner has a big lighted sign, the restaurant does not. Below categories: you can come dressy, but you really just need to come dressed respectfully. Our guests were everything from dresses to jeans.

Great food! My favorite is there vodka rig dish. It’s byob which is also a good thing. The deserts are delicious! I think my favorite part about the restaurant is the owner. Every time I’ve been there he comes to your table to see how everything is and is very friendly(almost like your family).

Just had my 2nd visit here and was so impressed I made reservations for New Years eve. The food is spectacular, the atmosphere is nice. Robert the owner is the nicest guy. He takes time to meet each customer and and makes you feel like you came to his home for dinner. I cant say enough good things about this place. The staff is nice and very professional. Thanks Harry

My family and I have gone to Leondaro’s II several times, and the fact that we keep going back should say something. Pros: –Endless bread basket filled with delicious bread means that I can fill up on that and take home my entrée for leftovers. –The staff have always been incredibly friendly and helpful. –Most of the food we’ve had there has been delicious.(My favorite is the fried gnocchi. It’s to die for!) Cons: –It’s a small restaurant, so if they’re busy it can sometimes get a bit loud and difficult to hear. –Some of the entrees that we’ve gotten have been just«eh»(notably, the lasagna and the«Da Vinci). These seem to the be the exception to the rule. Overall, it’s a great place that we always enjoy.

We’ve been there many times for family birthdays and get togethers, the most recent was last night. As always, great service and absolutely delicious food. As a cook and restaurant worker, I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Keep up the great work and I’ll see you again soon!

Good prices. Very nice owners and great atmosphere. However, most of the food is average. I wish it was better and I want it to be better but most meals are just ok. A couple dishes are great but overall it is just ok.

This place has gone way downhill since we first visited in 2006 – 2007. The whole point of going out to eat is to enjoy food prepared better than you could make it yourself, so I guess the people who like dining here can’t cook for sh… I’m sorry, but Uncle Ben’s rice with frozen vegetables in a pool of wine broth is NOT risotto. Sauteed hamburger meat with stewed tomatoes is NOT bolognese. Iceberg salads with canned olives and supermarket tomatoes, served with a canned vinaigrette(Seriously? It’s olive oil, balsamic, and mustard– how hard is that?) Desserts have an icebox taste, blech. There is nothing even remotely authentic about any of the dishes here, just huge portions of mediocre food.
