I had the fried fish and shrimp basket with Cajun seasoning. It was amazing! Everything is fresh and the basket was served hot. The owner was super nice since it was our first visit. I will be coming back.

What are you doing? Your search is over… if you are looking for a great seafood spot this is it! Fresh, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked catfish and shrimp along with many other seafood options. My personal favorite is the fried catfish using their Cajun spice. By far the best I’ve had in a long time. The catfish is so meaty, plump and crispy. Plus the Cajun seasoning is really good. On Mondays they have shrimp for .50 cents a shrimp which is a great deal especially for this shrimp. Also do not forget about the hush puppies; I could probably kill 100 of these things. I love how clean everything is here especially the seating area and the décor is nice for a little chill spot. I wish it was a little brighter in here but all in all you have to try this place out. You’ll see what I mean about the food

I love this place. It’s hard to find places like this outside of Atlanta. The fish is pretty good but in the thin side for me. This is the only reason I gave them 4 stars. Everything else I have had from here really was of the hook! The fish sliders are great nice and juicy and the corn hush puppies… Yes!

Drove by Off the Hook Seafood several times before, but decided to drop in for lunch to order take out. Man! I was glad I did. Lol, best thing I decided all day. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy combo with fries and a lemonade to drink. So delicious and fresh.

Saw this place and decided to give it a try. I should have looked at the Unilocal reviews :( I ordered the combo with 1 piece of fish, 5 shrimp, fries and a drink. This came to over $ 11. The portions are VERY small for the amount of money paid. The catfish filet was small and very bland(very deceiving as it «looked» very well seasoned). The shrimp were also bland and very rubbery(overcooked). The handful of fries had way TOO much season salt to the point they were inedible. The only good thing was the 2 hushpuppies but like previous reviews they were very small. I should have just kept driving on Hwy 29 and went to Captain d’s or Doos seafood. Will not go back

This place is just okay. I’ve had way better plus they are a bit pricey for what your portion size is. When we dined there all we smelled was cleaning fluids which made it even more unappetizing. Not a place I would go out of my way for.

I think I just changed religions to one where this place’s garlic Parmesan shrimp plays a key role. At the first bite I was completely won over! The lemon pepper tilapia filet was also outstanding. The restaurant is clean and cute, the prices are reasonable, and the service friendly and helpful. The food is delicious! The seafood tastes fresh, plump and moist and sealed inside a delicious crisp fried crust, not soggy or greasy. The corn on the cob was pleasing and buttery, not over-soft like some places. Hush puppies were savory without being too oniony, with little chunks of sweet corn giving a nice textural touch. They make the food to order but the wait times aren’t bad at all. We will definitely be making this hidden gem a regular stop!

Wish the portion sizes were a little larger but I’m also pregnant so that could tie into it. Haha. Shrimp was seasoned well but on the smaller size. Loved the hush puppies but they are quite small also. Red beans and rice were tasty. I would definitely visit again but just order something bigger.

I love a clever business name! Off the Hook takes on the double meaning of being excellent(such as out of this world or off the heezy forsheezy) as well as fresh out of the ocean, which is unlikely but I’ll go with it anyway(LOL). My mom is in town visiting and wanted me to find someplace nearby for seafood. As usual, I adjusted all my Unilocal search filters to hone in on the best restaurants nearest to my home and Off The Hook showed up as one of the top selections within a 15 mile radius. Just a short drive later we were ordering catfish, shrimp, french fries and red beans & rice. The food was very tasty! They have an option to toss the catfish in either a garlic parmesan sauce or two other flavors. Since I’d never experienced this before I was reluctant to try it, but undeniably curious. So I opted for them to toss only one of my two fillets just in case I didn’t like it. Well, I LOVED it and soon gave them the other fillet to add that magical garlic parmesan deliciousness as well. I highly recommend! We also enjoyed the shrimp and the french fries, but I must admit I am partial to the red beans & rice @ Popeyes. That’s not to say the red beans and rice here aren’t good. Service was Off the Hook as well. The crew here aims to please with pleasant and efficient service. They had no problems letting us sample the red beans & rice and coleslaw before we ordered. One of the staff came to our table to ask if we enjoyed our meal and my mom began raving over everything, especially the fries. Unbeknownst to us they noticed she still had a catfish fillet left over, but had run out of fries. So it totally blew my mom away when just before we left they brought her a fresh order of fries(no charge) because they wanted her to continue to enjoy her remaining catfish fillet at home. FINALTHOUGHTS Very, very pleased! We’ll be back again and often.

We went because the Unilocal rating was so high. When we went in the resterant it’s self is very welcoming and clean and we were greated by a pleasent person at the counter. We looked at the menu and quickly notice it was very expensive but we were hungry so decided to stay, we ordered fish and shrimp for 2 and extra hushpuppys. we waited over 20 minutes for our food and when it arrived, well it looked less than pleasing the fish was over cooked, and the shrimp was tastless. The hushpuppy’s were very small about the size of a walnut but they were good, now the coleslaw was some of the best I have had. We were ask how we liked our dinner by the chef and we told him about the fish and he told us he would check the timer on his frier. I just don’t think we will be back, prices are just to high for the food you get.

A 3 month new seafood joint is a welcome sight for sore eyes! The menu is simple but the quality is not! They’re friendly staff gave me quick and informative info that helped me choose a combo of catfish and shrimp that was fresh and tasty. Free soda refills and a manager that took the time to talk to us me and my family of 6 were in and out in a quick and delicious 45 minutes. We will be back!

This is officially my favorite seafood spot! I love walking into a clean restaurant that doesn’t smell or feel like a restaurant. It’s like I just walked into my living room. Plasma tvs on deck alongside chairs & barstools. The selection was diverse but stayed true to southern seafood. I was so impressed when I did get my food. The fish wasn’t greasy or drenched in oil. Neither was the shrimp. The fries were even on point! They weren’t just off the hook… THEYWEREOFFTHECHAINASWELL! Do your tummy a favor by stopping by this spot!

Great fish(lemon pepper whiting) and shrimp(Cajun). I liked the coleslaw too. Fish was nice and crispy just how I like it. I added extra seasoning to fish but that’s encouraged, since there is a seasoning bar right next to the counter. Nice little spot to get fish. I’ll be back,

Ordered the fish and shrimp both Cajun style. The fish was pretty good but the shrimp was way to salty. The French fries were pretty amazing and hush puppies were ok. Not the best place for seafood and not worth the wait.

Service was good but I felt that once the order was placed, it could have been a bit quicker being that it was lunch time and I was the only customer at the time. I tried the crab cake Sliders for the first time. They were okay… a tad bit salty but I’m willing to go back and try them again to see if they are any different as well as other entrées.

When I saw we were getting a new seafood place close to home, I was excited for a new option in the area. I don’t know the exact date they opened because one day last week we passed by they weren’t opened then passed by today and saw people inside. They don’t have a grand opening sign or anything out, but they are opened now. They are still getting all the kinks worked out… they have no menus printed so you have to go in and see the one hanging on the wall. It’s nice and clean(well duh, they are brand new and hopefully it stays that way). The employee behind the register was nice. a bit quiet and laid back, but nice. Now the food. They have a $ 5 lunch special that ends at 4pm. I ordered that. It comes with fish, a side, and a drink(he also said the other option was 5pc shrimp with the side and drink). I got whiting with a Cajun season toss. they have different seasonings you can pick. Food is cooked fresh to order so we waited about 15mins. The fries were really good and the fish was ok. My issue with the fish was that it was cooked kinda hard which meant it was a bit hard to chew some parts because of the crispiness of a hard fry. I also probably should’ve got lemon pepper season instead of the Cajun because the taste didn’t really stick out. But I mean fresh hot fish that was a 6 on a scale of 1 – 10 ain’t bad at all. I will get the tilapia next time… yes there will be a next time!
