Love coming to H-​E-​B I go to this one about 2 to 4 times a week! Employees here are generally nice & occasionally ask you if you need help finding anything. 8 times out of 10 you can get checked out of this store pretty fast whether you’re having someone check you out or you’re doing the self check out.

I love this HEB as they have everything I need and produce always so fresh. They have great customer service as well. I think they can use a little more help though. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my groceries!

By far this is the best grocery store in the area. It has such a HUGE variety, fresh fruits and vegetable, and great prices. Since I’m a fan of organics and farm to table products this is one of those stores I can find them. Would even compare it to a modernized Farmer’s Market. Employees are very helpful, friendly, and are always on top of the products available. Remember to visit their bakery and get some delicious treats and fresh baked bread!

I love my HEB in Bay Colony but the service in the pharmacy is disappointing at best. My husband was extremely sick and had a prescription called in. Since no one would answer the phone the nurse had to leave a voicemail. Since it was later in the day on a Sunday they close at 5pm so I immediately ran up there to pick it up. Of course it wasn’t ready since it was just called in and of course they had no record of it since they hadn’t even checked their voicemails. I told them no problem and drove back to the end of the line per their request. When I got back up to the window a tech, Nelly, picked up the intercom and said they were still working on it so I began to ask her if I should pull back to the end of the line or come in. I never got to ask because she slammed the phone down and walked off. I was shocked. I went in and told her that I thought what she did was extremely rude and although I understood they were about to close and she was ready to leave her actions were completely uncalled for. I also made her aware that the reason I was picking my husbands prescription up instead of him was because she was rude to him the last time he was there also. I didn’t understand it until I experienced it myself. What’s worse is she didn’t even attempt to apologize and instead blamed it on the intercom not working. Regardless of the phone not working I would think she could see my mouth moving trying to talk to her but she didn’t even wait long enough to see. You also can’t explain away completely unprofessional and rude attitude. I expect way better from my HEB.

Best grocery store in the area! I’m always sad that Galveston or League City does not have a Whole Foods, Central Market, or Trader Joes, but this is the next best thing. This place is HUGE with tons of options. Most of the great stuff Central Market has to offer, with HEB prices. Tons of produce, prepared foods, and nice helpful staff.

On my way to Galveston for a day trip, I realized that I was burning alive in the convertible and this HEB was the only place that was along the highway for about 50 miles that I thought may actually sell sunblock!
We pulled off the highway and of course yes they did sell sunblock! Thanks HEB! In HEB fashion of course we were in and out to purchase my burning skin remedy!
This is one of the best sunblock brands I have tried and it wasn’t overpriced like it would have been on Galveston Island!
If you find yourself on this stretch of road and in need of an important item, I would recommend stopping at this HEB for price and ease of getting in and out and back on the highway!

This is a great HEB. It is crowded at peak hours and if you show up on Sunday Night/​Monday Morning there will be empty shelves. I have found that Saturday or Sunday morning is the best time for non M-​F shopping. Produce is fresh and always well tended to. Bakery and meats always have someone who is willing to help.
Star of the show (for me) is Robert in the Beer and Wine section. In a year he has taken a pawltry area of bleh into a vibrant and ever changing section of the store. If you don’t do wine and beer or just go for the Ernest Gallo or Bud Light then don’t worry, this isn’t your thing. But if you like to expand your palate and try new and exciting things, this is your place. His expansion onto writing articles for industry publications and Facebook has made this HEB feel inclusive.

would be nice if more local stores maintained pages on social networking and would be nice-​r if they would carry more Texas products.
Tip to HEB: Texas produces wonderful cooking oils. Here’s just one.

By far the best choice when it comes to fresh choices. Meat is always being brought out by the butcher. Food is always on demo for you to have great ideas. Check out can be busy, since the store is always busy.

This is where I get all my shopping done! I love HEB. All the staff is always so nice and they help always no matter what time. You’ll find fresh local produce, eggs, meats and dairy. Like everyone said their bakery is amazing. Also very convenient location.

downside is always very crowded and isles are narrow and difficult to navigate
would actually give them a better rating but bathrooms are always filthy and with 2 small children do not always have the luxury to avoid using them, what we had to take our daughter in was simply third world, i did complain to the store manager who was responsive but regretfully its a regular problem

I enjoy the portion of the store where you can purchase spices by the ounce. Fresh bulk coffee beans, dried fruits of all kinds, several rices, flours, all deez nutz, and several types of trail mixes. They also have oats both rolled and steel cut. Mash your own nuts to make deez nutz butter!

My dear husband went to HEB after a long day at work just after stopping at petco. He was on a mission so he went straight to the back to look at blenders he didn’t see one he likes but he did find a mixer which was on sale he wanted to surprise me with so he put it in the basket and decided to look at a few things before checking out… OK SOOOO as he proceeds back to the front of the store a guy starts following him and standing close not saying a word then calls over someone else and they continue following my husband to the meat department and over to the cereal isle and making him feel very uncomfortable. So he takes cart and leaves it and starts to walk back to the front, the guy (Noah) runs up and ask where is the merchandise sir. My husband said what are you serious after you continued to follow me around the store like a thief you expect me to make my purchase? He then asked again where is it sir before I call the cops. My husband then told him it’s in the basket by the last isle you saw me in the cereal isle. The guy said some other things and my husband walked off to find a manager which apparently doesn’t care about the customers. He had nothing to say except that we could continue shopping at the location… NO never not after you follow me around like a thief and try to treat me as one when I don’t purchase anything from the store because of it… Will never shop there again…

The only downfall of this HEB location is that it is ALWAYS crowded, and can be inconvenient to navigate when they have sample stations set up (which they almost always do). However, the employees are friendly and helpful, and they have a great variety and selection of products. My go-​to for grocery shopping, especially when I need an unusual item.

They have everything! Great prices and daily deals. Fresh fruit a nice wine/​beer selection. One of my favorites is the sushi counter that has fresh made sushi daily.

WOW, I LOVE THIS H-​E-​B. Coming from Kansas I was new to the H-​E-​B chain and didn’t know what to expect. It is awesome! The guys who make the in-​store sushi are so fun and very accommodating making special orders asap. The produce is the best quality I have ever seen in a store setting. It’s almost like a good farmers market. Nothing rotten or not quite ripe. Huge organic section at a reasonable price. Plus their coupons they are everywhere even in house goods and cosmetics.
It’s very strange because all the employees I come into contact with are great and for some reason every so often I get a rude bagger. Never a cashier, associate, stocker, or cart pusher only the baggers.
I tried the Gulf Gate H-​E-​B and it was gross, gross, gross compared to the Bay Colony H-​E-​B. It stunk bad was so dirty and cluttered I couldn’t get around. I left without buying anything.

We do all of our grocery and household shopping here. This is by far my favorite store in the area. It is always clean, stocked, and the staff is super friendly.

The fact that this store is only 3 miles from my home is it’s saving grace. Because honestly, WTH is going on at this store lately? They rarely have any HEB Spring Water or Ozarka Spring Water in the 2.5 gallon size. They haven’t had my cage-​free all white egg whites in about 3 weeks (although, to be fair, I think there’s a national shortage, but whatever). They have stopped carrying ALL organic string cheese. Old El Paso Stand ‘n Stuff taco shells … nope, they don’t have those on hand either. Frozen organic strawberries disappeared from the store about 8 months ago and never returned. Who is doing the ordering here? They have fallen down on the job.
Kudos to the health food section manager … this guy/​gal knows what he/​she is doing because they typically have my peanut butter Oh Yeah! bars on hand and hubby’s Jay Robb Peanut Butter bars (probably because they are horrible and hubby is the only one who eats them). LOL!
I usually bag my own groceries because if I let the kids bag them, stuff is smashed by the time I get home. Does anyone train these kids on proper bagging anymore like they did when I was in high school?
By the way, why do they lock the southern-​most doors at 8 p.m. Hello, this is League City/​Dickinson … not the Fifth Ward. Geez.

Finally, Dickinson has bigger and better grocery selections than Ziggler’s (is that place still around?) and the ol’ Food King (definitely gone).
I never mind it when requested to stop by this HEB by family members needing me to pick up beer, ice, grub etc on the way to Grandma’s house. Since this is a new location, it’s laid out pretty well and is clean — but busy.
Unlike other HEB’s I’ve seen, they have smaller shops within: jewelry, photographer … kinda like what Wal-​Mart has. They also have an HEB gas station here.
