Piranha Austin Boat Rentals

Booked online and paid in advance for his largest pontoon with a captain for a group outing. He told us we had to have a captain if we were drinking bc «if he even suspected us of drinking and driving…» The night before our outing, Mike calls and says he does not have a captain for our boat trip the next morning due to that captain having a family emergency and we were booking ‘out of season in September’. He says our options are that we can just go without or change to a different day. I asked if we could switch to a smaller boat because I saw that one was still available online and our party ended up being a lot smaller than we originally planned (I also thought we would be more comfortable driving a smaller boat ourselves.) or receive a small discount for our inconvenience. We even asked if he would be willing to drive us. He was offended and said, I am the owner, I do not drive! (Reading prior comments, it looks like he has driven in the past.) He proceeds to tell us we are unreasonable and hangs up on us! We called back and said, I think you hung up on us? He says it’s quite possible I did! We proceed to ask for a refund. He called us at 730pm (after all other places were closed) the night before our 12pm rental the next day. We were stuck with out of town guests, having to call other marinas frantically in the morning, and driving a boat for our own party.

We rented a pontoon boat from here and the staff was great. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The boat was in great condition and we had a great day. I would recommend to anyone to rent from this great group and you will have a day filled with fun.

Our group rented from Piranha for my birthday and we had a blast! The boat was clean, nice, and had plenty of space for me and my six friends. Mike (the capital) was very nice and suggested places we could go to. Booking process and easy and painless, will definitely rent again!

We rented a boat last weekend for a family reunion with my parents and had an absolute blast! Boat was extremely clean, sat 12 people comfortably, and the captain had a cooler full of ice ready to go for us when we arrived. The booking process was quick and easy. Spent a Saturday out on the lake with these guys and it was awesome. I had family in town and wanted to take them out on the lake since this summer has been so hot. Securing the boat rental via their website was easy.
Our captain was very helpful. We ran out of snacks and drinks so he kindly told us about the options on the lake. We were able to dock up at a nearby restaurant, quickly grab some food and get back on the water.
Overall, great experience.

The location, the boat, the captain (Mike) — all of it was first class stuff– which is what makes for a good trip!
We did this for a team off-​site and enjoyed every bit of it. Mike was great at suggesting good spots for us to go and planned the trip very well. He was professional and friendly.
The boat was clean, had a good music system and enough space for 7 of us (and our stuff).

First of all, their website allows you to check the availability of boats and reserve them online. No need to even pick up the phone. Super easy! In this age of the internets, it’s surprising no one else lets you do this. Online-​friendly and reasonably priced, check.
The marina is a bit secluded, with a private feel to it. We did not have to fight any crowds to get to the dock. Our captain was on time and had our boat ready to go by the time we arrived. He also helped us load the coolers and explained the lay of the land. Professionalism, check.
The boat itself was almost immaculately clean. You can tell they take time taking care of their fleet. No mold, mildew, nothing. We took a bigger pontoon boat out, and it was quite roomy, with plush seats. We put the top cover up to provide some much needed shade on a hot day. Comfort, cleanliness, check.
Our captain took us all over the lake! We didn’t really know where we could even go, but he told us all about different destinations you can explore! Ended up cruising around Hippy Hollow, Stars (sp?) island, and finally to Devils Cove, which was a complete zoo. The rest of the trip is a little hazy. All in all, everyone had a really good time on the water. Fun day on the lake, check!
You can’t go wrong with these guys. We’ll be back to Piranha for sure.

We used Piranha rentals for my friend’s birthday bash and they were fantastic! Very accommodating on the phone and reasonably priced. Oh, and the boat was beautiful too! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have some fun in the sun!
