Brandon and his company, Preeminent Contracting, saved me. Prior to meeting Brandon, I had hired a «remodeling» contractor who did a lot of things wrong and I had to let go halfway through the project — leaving me with a big mess on my hands. After that, I was very nervous about trusting any other contractor and I had many questions for anyone who would come into my house to do work. In his initial visit, Brandon spent a lot of time listening to me as I explained the history of my kitchen remodel and asking questions. He was also very patient as I had a lot of questions for him. The initial estimate with allowances were spot on(bearing in mind that we had to account for potential issues that would arise because of the prior contractor’s work). During the entire process, Brandon was straightforward about potential issues, shared his experiences and his concerns, and kept me informed on all the work being performed. I felt very much in the loop and consulted on the project. We basically ended up gutting the whole kitchen and starting over almost from scratch. You will notice I say«we» a lot in this review, because I did feel like it was a collaboration. I appreciated when Brandon shared his experiences as well as his feedback with me, and he was open to my ideas and what my vision was. As owner of the company, Brandon maintains high standards and expectations for himself, his crew and his sub-contractors. It was a very pleasant experience working with his contacts for cabinets, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting and drywall. His drywall subcontractor was a great example of professionalism and was committed to keeping a clean working space at the end of each day — which I appreciated very much! In another example of collaboration: when the cabinet makers came in to measure the room, we were able to brainstorm about best use of space and at the end of the visit we had the perfect set up for me. I felt very much involved in the process and bought into it. Brandon is very detail-oriented and honest. If he was not onsite on a given day, I knew that when he inspected the work performed, if it did not pass muster, he would not accept it. I felt very comfortable with the workmanship and the knowledge of the men working on my kitchen remodel, and I appreciated the positive vibe of his crew while in the house. Brandon held to his promise of giving me a functioning kitchen for Thanksgiving Day, even working until late that Wednesday to deliver. In the end, my kitchen isn’t just a functional room. Since its completion, the kitchen is where we all now want to be! I cannot stress enough how pleased I am with the remodel that Preeminent Contracting completed for me. I am beyond ecstatic about the results! In a nutshell, Preeminent Contracting is professional, friendly, honest, and results-driven.
