Leavenworth Wok About Grill

The place was ok but nothing special. I thought their flavor recommendations would have carried more sizzle, but after watching their chefs water down my food on the hot circle, I now know why it was so bland. Decent place in a pinch but I would not care to go back.

I would give a zero star if I can. The one star is only for the super nice waiter and nice décor. I will never understand people who give this place five stars review. This place is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. We got tricked by the nice décor and did not realize that by «Grill» it means those f-​Ing free stir fry you get from a cheap Chinese buffet. The stir fry turn out like shit at the end, I mean I could make better stir fly myself. The stir fry was dripping wet with the disgusting frozen meat water. Anyone who eaten Asian food would know this is a disgrace to Asian food. Come on… I would be rather eat Panda Express. Never coming back again!!!

My wife, two teens, and an east coast grandparent ate here while on a weekend trip. Here is what she had to write: «When we asked locals where to eat, I had to make sure I heard right when Asian food was recommended. What? I am in little Bavaria right? Unsure, I previewed the place at lunchtime and was delighted to find my kind of food. By that, I mean, fresh vegetables with loads of choice and add-​ons. I admit I’m on a rather stringent eating program which focuses on fresh vegetables, nuts, and beans but here I was, on vacation, eating out, and able to maintain my standards! I loaded up on a gorgeous selection of veggies including rainbow carrots and added cashews on top. It was absolutely delicious. The kids loved that they could pick what they wanted. The only minor complaint I have is that they didn’t offer the tortilla option, as opposed to rice, verbally. Yes, it is written on the menu but I missed it and it wasn’t until later that I noticed it. It is minor since I am refraining from processed foods but still I think it would be important for others to know what you can get at no additional cost since the carbs are included in the price. Very pleased with this option and will seek out similar establishments wherever I travel to avoid feeling grossly overfed.»

Service was good, and the overall atmosphere was nice, and the food was ok, nothing special or over the top. I do believe I am also just a fan of my neighborhood Mongolian grill.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Kid friendly and great outdoor deck. Chalkboards at table for kids to have fun with. Great twist on the traditional coloring sheet.

Phenomenal food. Clean place. Fast service. Little hard for me to hear anyone other than voices in my head. Friendly staff. You pay by the pound.

Great service. We did have to wait but… well worth it. I would be kicking myself in the ass if I hadn’t waited. We could drive the three hours home now and I would be happy. Loved this place!!! Ps. You can never have enough meat.

Honestly this review is for the bar! However, the food smelled delish. And the wok buffet part looked good.
They had great drinks and great service in the bar.
And their bathroom was fancy. Like pebbles in the sink fancy. Refer to pics for further detail.

Good food, but a little pricey. Everything was fresh and looked good. There weren’t many sauces to choose from like the place at home.

Didnt eat here, just stopped in for a cocktail. Sat in the bar area and it was a great chill environment with sports on TV. Bartender was great and told us where to go late night in this town. Will be back for sure.

Never had been here before. Busy the night we went so we went into the bar and what a great decision. My new favorite Happy Hour spot. The bartender was super friendly and the food was AWESOME. Can hardly wait to go back.

Although it was a bit pricy, it was well worth it! And we had a waiter called Kris who was so awesome and funny which made our experience even better. I also highly recommend the Mongolian wings. Great food, great service!

So I started out looking for a good Asian place to get take out for dinner. I read all the reviews and got prepped to spend way to much. The price is by the pound and the bowl gets filled fast, but being hungry I went at it. I didn’t skimp at all, when I got to the register they weighed each bowl and I couldn’t believe it. The price was $ 20.- the people complaining about the price are completely out of line. So, would I go back, Yes!

Just finished eating dinner here and had a wonderful experience. The chefs were very helpful in making a dinner that my 7 year old would like, the waiter was knowledgeable and our drinks were always full. Dinner was delicious, we had the chicken wraps as well as our personalized woks. I highly recommend this restaurant, it’s on our list to visit again.

Fantastic customer service! We were seated outside (by choice) & the first thing our waiter did was surround us in heaters, which we definitely appreciated considering it was 20 degrees. But the patio seating was gorgeous and had such a great view! The food selection was great. It didn’t take very long before your bowl was towering with all the veggies and meats they had to offer. & Again, it didn’t take very long to have it cooked. It was very flavorful and delicious :) Our water glasses were never empty, as we were checked on frequently by our awesome waiter. I would definitely come back to this restaurant on my next visit to Leavenworth & recommend it to everyone also!

All of the locals we asked told my husband and I to try Wok About. We’re so glad we listened!!! Our server was excellent and he moved us out to the balcony when we asked because it was too muggy and noisy inside with all of the families with wild children. Our balcony view was excellent, got to see Front St in town with a handful of buildings lit up. They had propane heaters going, nice touch.
As far as the food goes, my husband ordered the 5 piece ribs which ended up being a TON of meat and it was fabulous. Perfect char and flavor. I put together a bowl to have cooked. Tons of choices at the bar for meats, veggies and other items. They weigh it by the pound and it is roughly $ 7/​lb. We also ordered the spring rolls, which were actually the sticky rice paper with shrimp and cabbage inside, served with peanut sauce. The flavor was good but they were wrapped so loosely that everything fell out. I would skip those next time.
It does take a little while when it gets busy, just like anywhere, but especially at the grill (some people tended to get pushy). They have two sides to the bar and two grills with multiple cooks with sword-​like sticks pushing the food around. It was really neat, especially with the different liquids you could put on your food. The veggies were cooked perfectly, even the big chunks of broccoli.
Everything was clean and snazzy. Even the bathroom sinks were cool, a flat basin filled with smooth stones and they had funky faucets. All in all, my husband and I would definitely come here again.

Beautiful town, amazing restaurant. Perfect view from balcony seating. Chris was our waiter, funny, polite and knowledgeable. Food being delicious was a bonus.
I don’t usually rite a review but had to after an amazing experience.

Had a couple bloody Marys and they were on point! We were here for happy hour so tried a few appetizers, classic buffalo wings and chicken lettuce wraps are amazing!

Great staff and good food. Make your own stir fry and pay by the pound.
It was great for a lighter meal after doing a lot of eating out.
Make sure you go heavy on the sauces or it can be bland.
Awesome patio with an amazing view.
Good beer selection and you can even get drinks made with stuff from the distillery, Blue Spirits, next door.
