I just returned one of the two dresses I purchased at Francesca’s because my fiancé and I were getting engagement photos done and we didn’t need both dresses. When I purchased the dress I was sure to ask about the return policy. They said I had 15 days. I brought the dress back 7 days after my purchase. When I got there they demanded my ID, although I had a receipt. I have never had this happen to me before at another store. I have had to give my ID when I forgot the receipt to validate I wasn’t a criminal. I felt like francesca’s was keeping tabs on my return. I’m going to think twice before returning to francesca’s before making a purchase again. I don’t feel comfortable beign able to return items therefore I will not purchase again.

The thing I like about this place is that it feels like a local boutique with a wide selection. I was surprised to find out that there are locations all over the country. The employees are friendly and even remember me when I come in. I shop here often on my lunch break and don’t feel like it’s a place where I have to wait around forever in line when I’m in a rush even though Town Center is usually busy at lunch hour during the week. The prices are higher than a place like Wet Seal or Forever 21, but the quality of clothing is much much better. Not to mention the pieces are classier and are better suited to a wider range of body types. Even though this store has locations nationwide, I still feel like the pieces are unique and doubt I will see every girl on the street wearing the same outfit I am.

I may have to have my paychecks re-routed here.(Husband: if you are reading this, I’ve had those tops forever… they’re just really old, that’s why you’ve never seen them… nervous laughter…) Cute tops and dresses that don’t look like anything carried by Gap/Banana/Express etc. etc. and fun accessories at reasonable prices — tops average $ 25, dresses are around $ 45, and the veritable piles of necklaces, rings, and earrings run anywhere from $ 5 — $ 30. Small selection on individual items, but that means a) fast turnover and b) you probably won’t see 20 other people wearing your outfit. While here, I saw things that I would gift to my adorable, whimsical sister-in-law, my wonderfully artsy, creative sister-in-law, my trend-setting sister-in-law, and my mom, who errs on the side of classic. A one-stop shop for all kinds of gifting, plus cute outfits for me? Yes please!
