I purchased shoes here and I was very satisfied with the man who helped me. The employees were very warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in and would be enough to make me come back. That kind of atmosphere is nearly impossible to find at any kind of store. The shoes are definitely expensive, but they are very high quality. To me a really comfortable high quality shoe is worth the price because it can last for years. The only downside is that the selection is very limited. For that reason, I wouldn’t tell too many of my friends(so we don’t all have all of the same shoes).

Although I have never purchased shoes in here before, whenever I’m in the Ranchmart area, either to get my nails done at Nails For You or going to the grocery store across the street… I try to make a stop in here if I’m thirsty. SAS Shoes on 95th St has an old fashioned coke dispenser in the back of the store! For a nickle, that’s right, five cents, you can get a glass bottle of coke and drink it right there in the store — looking around the orthopedic shoes of course, and when you’re done the nice old store owners request that you recycle the glass bottles in a case they have next to the dispenser. Five cent cokes people! I get a kick out of the nostalgia of it all — I wasn’t even alive when cokes cost less than $ 1.00, but even so I can appreciate the sentiment of a ma and pa shoe store trying to bring back the old days. And I can’t think of anywhere else in Kansas City that offers this, can you?
