Stopped by here tonight at around 10:30pm bc my bf had to finish his paper by midnight. This place is right a long the 5 and across from the big outlet shopping center. Cool spot. We’re coming from LA and heading back to Hayward, Bay Area, about 4.5 hours away. The girls here, especially the one at the cashier and making drinks was super sweet! It’s almost midnight and she still kept a welcoming and friendly attitude! We were there for about an hour and it was consistently busy, but I managed to catch the barista/cashier a few times providing fantastic customer service. My bf was able to get his paper done and is enjoying his coffee made by the sweetest barista! He’s also ready to tackle on this 4.5 hour drive back home! Unfortunately, we didn’t catch her name but the barista/cashier working on 2⁄20 between 10:30 — 11:30pm, YOU’REAWESOME!

I was shocked at the service at this location. There were six baristas behind the counter, all but one cashier were standing around talking and walking in circles doing nothing. It took 15 minutes to place my order, another 10 minutes to get it and it was awful. Sad but advise to find another exit location as this is a good one to get gas at.

This is a busy location around the clock with visitors coming and going from the LA area north to various parts of California and beyond. I’ve frequented this Starbucks in need of caffeine to keep me going and to use their restroom after having too much coffee along the way. Staff have always been speedy and helpful. On my latest visit, the exterior lights on the building and in the parking lot were all dark. However, the light on the drive thru menu was still illuminated as well as the inside of the store. I stopped by for my drink and to use the facilites. Sure glad they’re open early and late. Keep on Unilocal’n!

The slowest Starbucks I have ever been to. I am writing this review as I wait in this horrible drive thru line.

When I go for coffee what matters to me most is taste, how hot(or cold) the coffee is, and speed(time I get my coffee). Everything else is secondary. With that being said I give this Starbucks location 3.5 stars. That is good considering it was during the holidays. It’s also important to note that this is a popular rest stop/exit for travelers so it can be super busy. I decided to go inside because the drive-thru line was super long. I stood in line for only a few minutes. The girl took my order — one shot of espresso and a grande praline latte. Service was average. A few minutes later(less than 5 minutes) my drinks came out. The espresso shot was hot but too small. My latte was perfect — taste and temperature! Last comment — the place was somewhat messy with trash on the floor. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and attribute to how busy it gets for the holidays. My bigger hang up would be how much Starbucks have raised their prices. It’s ridiculous. Anyways, thanks to the staff for serving us during the holidays! I appreciate you.

Place was filthy. Baristas were slow. Bathroom was disgusting and missing toilet paper and seat covers in the handicapped stall. It makes it hard for someone with trouble walking in the first place, to go out to let someone know their bathroom needs to be tended to. When I explained this to who was the«manager» she didn’t seem to care, nor did she do anything to fix the situation. Even though I purchased a drink and food for my long drive, I was treated as though it was an inconvenience that I made a comment about the restroom. On top of it all, my drink was incorrect but I felt as though if I mentioned that also I would have not had any luck with that being fixed either. It wasn’t even as busy as I expected it to be so I can’t even use that as an excuse for them for my crappy experience.

Dear Barista named Julia, You make drinks for a chain. Why the attitude? If you don’t like making drinks, go do something else. If you don’t like customers, maybe it’s time to make a career change? Your passive aggressiveness is not appreciated. A coffee shop is supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable. When you called my name and drink today, you didn’t say«soy» — which could have been a simple misunderstanding from your orange haired cashier with the cat tattoo on her hand. When I asked if it was soy, your scowl said it all; the words«that costs extra» we’re unnecessary. I offered to go pay the 35 cents but I could hardly hear you under your breath. You tossed the wrong drink in the trash, proceeded to make a new one and slid it onto the counter without acknowledging me, because you were busy arguing with another set of customers who just wanted to know which drink was which. Very professional! Sincerely, A lactose intolerant customer PS: Treat everyone as you’d like to be treated. You never know who’s going to be on the other side of the counter. PSS: My drink is pretty good though.

The service here is absolutely horrible and there’s a ton of disgusting flies inside the store flying around you and landing on cups and food. Gross! Also my drink took more than 10 minutes to make and there was nobody inside the store. Talk about slow service. There was for staff member working and all of them were chatting and not really working.

Not a bad Starbucks. Ordered a caramel macchiato with extra caramel for myself and then a caramel frap for my girlfriend. Both drinks came out pretty good. There were a lot of people here since it’s close to the outlets for people who are traveling to stop at. The location itself is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The lady behind the counter was nice and the place was pretty clean. I will say there was quite a big line for the bathroom for the ladies while I was there. All in all not bad!

Base of the grapevine Starbucks. And they didn’t give me any bull about giving me my PSL early either. I like that. This place gets super packed with all the traffic coming to and from from Sac to LA. But you wouldn’t think it here. They handle it. Quick service and even in the drive thru. Starbucks, 4 stars.

I believe that all Starbucks are created equal. Or at least should be. Same drinks, food items and décor. THISONE particular Starbucks stands out as how not to run a store. In a nutshell this was the experience: * Service was too slow. The staff number was there but no one was stepping up to alleviate the long lines reaching out the door. * The AC was busted. This SBUX is at the entrance of the San Joaquin Valley. Its always freakin’ hot in the valley like 10 out of the 12 months! * Flies everywhere. Just gross. * The service was friendly tho. Ill admit they were troopers putting on a smile under the circumstances. Management needed to step up and at least apologize for the wait and the busted AC. Overall: Starbucks is available like every 10 feet in America. If this one doesn’t get its act together… there’ll be one less. Good luck team SBUX.

I come to this Starbucks quite a bit. This isn’t the friendliest location because they are the busiest. Literally. This is the #1 volume Starbucks in California and it’s in the top 5 for volume in the nation. It’s so busy they had to build a Starbucks down the street to offset some business. Here’s the details: it’s bigger than most Starbucks. The parking lot is kinda small for how many travelers they get, depending especially on the time of day. The drive thru is OK but very long lines. There is barely any seating. It’s definitely a take and drive place, not so much a hang out. I’ve never had bad service, but I’ve also never had exemplary service there either.

Smh. Multiple bad reviews for this place. Here’s another. So, I order a espresso frap, extra shot along with A croissant and a iced chai tea latte with soy with a ½ shot. At the bottom of the tea there is thick, white sour milk like substance that can only be sour soy milk! I know how regular and soy milk looks when they are sour. She then goes to pour a tiny bit into another cup and convince herself that it’s not the milk. She makes another. This time, a HUGE chunk of gross soured soy milk plops into the tea. Again she said it’s not the milk and it’s just pouring like that. Ummm… No. It’s SOUR! Lol. Wth. She then says it’s not the milk. Again. I asked for a refund. She directs me back to the register. Great friggin service.

Where is Labec you ask? Well it’s outside of Bakersfield near the outlet malls. This Starbucks is located there in a newish and handy shopping center. I generally swing by here on my way to and from the Unilocal Bakersfield Community and hey! There’s a Starbucks drive thru on BOTH sides of the freeway FYI. This one is heading Northbound and they really were less than a-ok. I stopped in, ordered a simple coffee and breakfast sammie and waited for my order. Coffee was placed on the bar… waiting… waiting… trying to catch the eye of a barista… orders go out the drive thru… finally the same girl that takes my order realizes her counterpart never put my sandwich in the toaster oven. I half smile and wait some more. Starbucks is a well oiled machine, and although a longer than normal wait isn’t a huge deal, on my way to work in another city after a long drive the last thing I want to do is dance around trying to waive down an employee to get my easy order and get back out the door. *stamped my feet grumpily to my rental car

Had another good experience here. We tried out the new one on the other side of the 5 — I Unilocaled that one too — but this one is much better. 1. Polite service 2. Clean bathroom 3. Accurate order 4. Exemplary décor for what is for people who are planning to only stop for a few minutes.

Good location, right before entering mountain area on I5 to LA. Always lines inside the store; not surprised since my friend told me that this is the top 3 sales store in California. Luckily, I only spent 10 min to get my drink, not too bad. The line is actually long, but the workers are pretty efficient. One bad thing is only few sittings with power outlets. If you stop by to get a seat and charge your 3C device, this may not a good option.

***I am not a coffee drinker though there are not many Starbucks stores located off freeway exits on the long stretch of 5 freeway between Los Angeles and San Francisco; this location allows you to get a more elaborate coffee beverage than many freeway exit fast food restaurants; for example, the McDonald’s next door to this Starbucks(while new) only serves regular coffee*** Free parking is available though there are not many spaces next to this store.

Came by for coffee the other day before heading up the grapevine. The line was ~10 people long mid afternoon on a weekday. There were a half dozen Starbucks partners trying to help out the line inside the coffee shop and the drive through. Sausage Pastry was sold out… Latte was decent but tasted slightly burnt… typical of Starbucks? …service was okay… Their chocolate croissant was decent as it’s now supplied by Le Boulange, one of Starbucks’ latest acquisitions.

Literally the last place to get coffee before the grapevine. That means it is always PACKED and there is a line both in the drive through and inside. The positives of this starbucks are the clean bathrooms, air-conditioned inside, and there is an employee inside assisting the line by taking your drink order while you wait. By the time you reach the register to pay for your drink, it will be ready in about 5 minutes. Not bad considering how many customers are crowding this road-stop starbucks. While this starbucks is making the most of their undersized shop for the mass volume of customers they get everyday, they should consider expanding. Bottom line: Packed.
