There’s really only two things you can rank on a buffet. How quickly the«servers» clean your plates and the food quality. 1) Our server was pretty good. Never had a plate sit for more than 2 or 3 minutes before it was gone. No problems here. 2) Food quality and availability is so so, and crud if you factor in the price. The meats(prime rib and pork loin) was dry. Not just a bit dry, but dry enough that it was fully white and started to crack. Ewwww… Beyond that, the choices were slim. I’ve had more offerings at any other buffet half the price. Desserts were the only thing they had a lot of, except the flavors were quite weird. Not your standard items, but pastries with weird toppings. Don’t know why they did that, wasn’t appetizing. Also, everything was super super sweet. I like sweet dessert, but I don’t like eating a block of sugar. –___– If this was $ 15 – 20, I would be totally ok. But at their crazy prices, no thank you.

Food was either bland or super salty. Undercooked or overcooked and some were cold. Not many options. Salad bar… lettuce and spinach were old, wrinkly, and discolored. Coffee was disgusting. One start is for bacon and pancakes.

This review is for the breakfast buffet. Price $ 26 for two people. Food quality was way below expectation considering past experience. Old rubbery sausage links, scrambled eggs that had a wet clay-like consistency, pancakes served without butter anywhere in sight, and corn beef hash that was grey around the edges instead of the pinkish red that it should be. Seriously, even the coffee was horrible. I will never waste my time or money eating here again.

With the price and long line, I expected so much better. There’s seven stations(BBQ, Asian, Italian, International, Seafood, Salad/Soup, and Dessert) but there wasn’t much to pick from within the stations. Dessert probably had the most within its selection but everything was just subpar. Cooking of meat temperatures were inconsistent, some foods tasted like TV dinner food. even the caesar salad I tried to make was meh. the lettuce mix was brown and dried up and i couldn’t find the parmesan cheese. There was like an ounce of caesar dressing left but i didn’t want to bother asking staff to refill because i figured it would take ages for them to refill as how it took our waiter over 5 minutes to even greet us to ask us for our drinks.(There was a pre-mixed caesar salad but it was drenched in dressing and it just looked like a wet, soppy mess). Being so disappointed already, I didn’t even want to bother with dessert. I wanted so hard to enjoy this buffet but it fell short. :(

Made the mistake of coming here on a Tuesday morning. Maybe it’s my fault. Maybe it’s the bug on the fryer cooks glass window. Maybe it’s the singular breakfast choices at a buffet. Everything had a hint of «I’ve been sitting here for a while». There’s a Chinese bakery across from this place. Go there, grab a roast pork bun and some bubble tea. Be satisfied. Don’t be like me.

Used to be better back in the olden days. Now its like 25 bucks for an all you can eat TVDINNER. You can get a better all you can eat TV dinner at the HomeTown buffet and it wont cost you as much. I was in here a few weeks ago, and the hostesses(if thats what you would call them) were the most miserable, unhappy, gloomy people I had seen in quite some time. They took your little ticket, and lead you to your table looking most forlorn and sad, any sadder and their face would be a SCOWL! «Follooooow meeeee…» she said and stuck us in a little pile of tables full of Asian folks who looked like they didnt care about the hospitality issues. Then she went back and stood against the wall with the other hostess types, and they solemnly discussed the terrible slave like conditions they were undergoing, or whatever. Maybe somebody in the crew had died or something, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt! A little old lady waitress stopped by, and came back with some diet cokes. But she never returned, so I guess after dinner coffee was out of the picture. Food was mediocre, like something you might be served at any low budget wedding. Just gimme my ziti and sauce and be done with it. Blaaaaaahhh! Not going back in there!

Short and sweet… not worth the price for not even mediocre food. Family of five, holiday pricing $ 125.00. Never again.

This one star is for hot coffee. The rest of the food was cold and undercooked. The choice is very limited for the price you pay. This place is awful. Avoid it!!!

I live for breakfast, and today I had a very good meal at the breakfast buffet. The atmosphere right now is quiet because it’s a weekday, but I know weekends get busy here. Cost of breakfast buffet is just over $ 12 pp. All the food was coming out hot and fresh. My favorites were the omelette station and the stuffed French toast. Plus the coffee was hot and the orange juice tastes like fresh squeezed. I will probably be back for breakfast next chance I get to come down here.

It’s possibly worth $ 13 for breakfast, but the buffet is nothing to write home about. They have the usual buffet breakfast foods(eggs to order, bacon, etc.) but the pancakes made me sad(thin and dry) and the french toast was nothing to write home about either. Our waitress was attentive but she was old(er) which made me sad that she has to supplement her income by working at a mediocre buffet. The breakfast buffet at Mohegan Sun is 10x better and it doesn’t make me sad. Skip the Festival Buffet unless you’re in the mood for sadness.

Only normally come here for breakfast. Coffee is alway terrible. The OJ is good though. Food overall is okay. The scrambled eggs are always cold sitting there in the steamer you’re better off ordering them fresh. Potatoes are okay. The pancakes are like rocks sitting there along with the waffles and French toast. Service is normally good but it’s a buffet so not too hard there All in all of you’re here with the free ticket it’s okay but I wouldn’t pay full price for this buffet

I had to write a review for this much maligned buffet because I read so many negative reviews before I came here for the first time for lunch on Sunday. Number one: they take reservations, folks! We came with the kids before a Criss Angel show, so we made sure we did NOT have to stand in a line. The most common complaint was easily circumvented. Secondly, have a strategy! Take a quick walking tour of all the food stations first! Plan accordingly & start with small portions. Thirdly, know your limits! I am a light eater, so I choose small apps of soup, fruit & salad, progressing to a protein(Asian turkey with vegetables) & ended with ice cream bar, angel food cake with strawberry compote topping from said ice cream bar & ending with my fave Boston cream pie. Lastly, Do not overeat! No matter how much you want to get your money’s worth, eating until you are ill will never end well. A cup of tea served cheerfully by our diligent & perky young server Victoria ended a pleasant experience. She was also quite attentive in clearing our dishes and bringing and refilling our drinks, rounding out the lunch this afternoon. If you must buffet, this is a clean, easy & satisfying place.

Went to Foxwoods on a bus trip. A voucher for free admittance came with it. The food looks better than it tasted. Everything was bland and need seasoning. It’s not worth going out of your way if it’s not free.

Went there for a late breakfast. They had scrambled eggs and«loaded» scrambled eggs, which had some veggies mixed in, I guess. Honestly, both tasted like powder eggs, they were awful. I also had croissants from their bakery section, which were unbelievably dry and stale. Which was the estimation I had from looking at the biscuits, which gave me thoughts of eating cement. I also noticed the chipped beef gravy next to the biscuits, which the sight of gave me a premonition of the queasiness I’d feel later. They did have some fruit, I had a bowl of cantaloupe, green melon, and pineapple, which didn’t appear to be at the height of freshness but adequate, and honestly appeared to be the safest thing to eat. After not being able to finish almost anything on my plate, I went back and got a boiled egg(at least you know it’s real), and some french toast. The french toast was pretty tasteless and the texture was a bit rubbery, which was odd. You would think that the casino would want people to have some fresh food, feel good about what they ate, so they could go back to the tables. Not the case here. This stuff had both my wife and I feeling nauseous, just ill afterward. All we wanted to do was camp out somewhere near a toilet, just in case. Do yourself a favor. Avoid this place. Just go to the Panera Bread or Dunkin Donuts onsite and buy a breakfast sandwich. I spent 12 years in the military, and honestly, I would rather eat an MRE than eat at the Festival Buffet again. The breakfasts by our mess people were more authentic then this abomination. I was going to say I wouldn’t even feed an animal with food from this place, and that made me think that the people who run this place probably view their patrons that way… basically as cattle that they can just feed slop to. I hope someone from FB or Foxwoods reads this, and to you I’d like to say this… have some respect for your patrons. Have some freaking pride in serving QUALITY food. This experience was a DISGRACE!

My friend and I arrived between breakfast and lunch on a weekday. The selection was standard for a casino buffet, but I think that the quality was a bit better. I also appreciated the clear labeling of the food(for example, the baked ziti sign mentioned that it contains pork and beef, which would help those who follow kosher or halal diets or vegetarians, or even those who just don’t like one of the above). Not to overdo my discussion of the pasta dishes, but there was additional sauce next to them, which I really liked. I noticed that the bowls that were out in each of the sections were shallow, which I assume was to keep food fresh. It was constantly being stirred and refreshed by the staff. My favorites were the mac and cheese(it was so good and fresh– with good sharp cheddar cheese and a toasted crumbly top) and the corn bread(both of which were in the BBQ section). The dessert options were endless. I had low expectations for the buffet because at other buffets, the desserts look great and taste like styrofoam. In reality, each of our several desserts that my friend and I chose were excellent. The lemon bars, cheesecake, bread pudding, and apple brown betty were fabulous. I should’ve just eaten dessert in retrospect. I did think the buffet was a bit overpriced, but that is the case with most casino buffets(and we did have food vouchers, so that helped).

I drive a bus line-run from Boston to Foxwoods 3 or 4 days a week. I receive a complimentary meal at the Festival Buffet or any of the other outlets up to $ 15 value. I don’t want to sound like an ingrate but the buffet is just horrible. The food is lacking taste and variety. They offer the same things day after day, week after week. Nothing changes. Today I had sirloin roast slices — tough and lacking flavor. Then I tried the corned beef which was like leather — dry and tough. The customers are rude, constantly pushing in front of you. Don’t even get me started on the germ factory this place is. Everyone I talk to has negative things to say about the festival buffet so I thought I’d throw in my two cents.

One month ago from this day, I told the woman who was cutting prime ribs at the time how I waited 2 long years for this legendary piece of prime rib. It was before 2013 that Foxwoods Prime ribs and chocolate mousse cake was all you needed to make even the most depressed gambler into one happy and reformed man. That was how good it was. I’m talking about Prime Ribs that easily beats Peter Luger and Chocolate Mousse cake that makes Juniors, a joke. Unfortunately those days are gone, the prime ribs are now a hit or miss and the Chocolate mousse cake, disappeared into oblivion. The majority of their other selections are more/less average though their barbecue and salad selections are always above average. Seafood Weekends only consists of boiled crab which is either not fresh or overcooked. In the Chinese food section, only white rice and Spring rolls are acceptable. Also they don’t serve Coke, only Pepsi. The only good news is you can use the Chinatown/Flushing bus coupon for the buffet. Three stars is only if the prime ribs are good on the day you go.

Baby, you’re not in Vegas at the Festival Buffet. While you can expect the same insane lines and pricing you might get at a Sin City buffet, you’re not going to get the same quality of service and food here. I take my grandmother once every few months to play bingo at Foxwoods and if you go on the«Mystery Envelope» days you’re almost guaranteed to get a voucher to the Festival Buffet inside along with other coupons and freebies. Go to the Festival Buffet when it is free– do not go when you have to pay for it. The price for two adults at night is over $ 40 for mediocre food served at a variety of temperatures. When I have a voucher I usually stick to the salad bar, the dessert bar and the breakfast selections if it’s morning– everything else here is suspicious food-safety wise and usually pretty gross to boot. But hey, free’s free and if you have a voucher you should use it. Otherwise, save your cash for one of the nicer restaurants on property, like those in the Fox Tower.

I’ve been going to Foxwoods for ages and always avoided the buffet like the plague. A friend came up to meet me and wanted to go, so I figured I’d try it. Now some of the food is definitely not good, but there’s plenty of things I do enjoy. Primary, I like to get a mountain of peel and eat shrimp. Wish they had real horseradish to spike the cocktail sauce, but it’s still pretty good. On the dessert bar there’s a really, really good cookie cake. When they undercook it, it’s just amazing. So addicting.
