It was just fine. Although I felt like I was eating in an airport restaurant, but with real cutlery. My filet was delicious, but at $ 40 only came with a scoop of mashed potatoes– no veg. Husband had the Rib Eye, and it was just fine, a gain $ 40 and one side. Our appetizer took forever to come out, and ended up beating out enters by only 5 minutes. Next time I want a delicious steak dinner I will go outside the casino to one of the great restaurants in Mystic, Stonington etc. they’re more likely to know how to time a meal and it will be more intimate.

Stopped here for dinner after a show at around 9:45pm. Had a reservation it took about 4 minutes to be seated because the hostess was busy chatting and laughing with her co worker about some«guy». Staff needs to be a little more professional and wait until you have nothing to do before you gossip. We were then seated and promptly greeted by our waiter. Ordering was quick and didn’t take long at all. I ordered braised short ribs over mashed potato and my guest ordered the sword fish with a side of corn. The corn was delicious, it was fresh off the cob prepared in a dish with seasonings. It was excellent. My short rib was decisions and the potatoes were smooth and had a lot of texture and flavor. The only thing that could of been a little better was the temperature of the food could of been a little hotter. Other than that the bill came out to $ 117 for two plus tip. Pricy but it is the casino.

I ordered a $ 50 steak special — that came with roasted potatoes and asparagus. I asked for medium rare and it came out medium well — which is unacceptable for a «steakhouse» or any fine dining restaurant. The waitress apologized and submitted it for a refire. 20 minutes later(after everyone was finished eating and had their plates cleared) a properly cooked steak returned. It was good enough but I was totally uncomfortable at this point; everyone in our party finished eating and was now waiting on me. 20 minutes was too long for a medium rare steak. During this uncomfortable point the staff avoided our table. Everyone had empty water glasses and empty cocktails. So not only were they done eat, they were now really just waiting on me because they couldn’t order a new cocktail. When addressed with the manager — he offered no solutions or apologizes and asked«What do you want me to do?». Umm, your job? I’m not paid to come up with a solution, you are. But if he needs some suggestions: Offer to comp my meal, Offer a round of drinks? They ended up trying to bring over a fruit and pudding cup — but still hadn’t refill our water cups. So we paid a over $ 500 for horrible service and ok food. NOTFINEDINNING! GOTODAVIDBRUKES!

Both the service and food at Cedar’s last Friday night were impeccable. We wanted to try one of the restaurants during the«Taste of CT» month at Foxwoods and we made the best decision to come here. For $ 35 each, our meal included choice of salad or clam chowder, choice of salmon or prime rib with potato and a cheesecake dessert. We both chose the clam chowder & prime rib, which was cooked perfectly. We added the spring roll appetizer, which was also delicious. I tried one of their specialty drinks — and it may have been the most perfectly proportioned mixed drink I’ve ever had. Our waters were constantly refilled, and all of the staff was very attentive. I would like to thank our waiter. I have a sever peanut allergy and going out to dinner can be very difficult, and almost scary sometimes knowing that I am ‘taking a chance’. I wrote down my allergy in my OpenTable reservation, and he mentioned it first thing when we sat down, letting me know he checked the oil types they used in the kitchen. When we ordered our appetizers & meals, he proceeded to give me an update about how they would be cooked. He even told me he can not offer me the cheesecake which was included in our«prix fix meal», but offered me fresh fruit instead. I felt very safe eating the food knowing that he checked with the kitchen staff — and I appreciate that service and the extra time he took, it’s very hard to find at many other restaurants. Foxwoods & this restaurant are about a 90 minute drive for me, so unfortunately it’s not a place I’ll come back to often, but if I am ever in the area again, I would definitely go back and would definitely recommend it to others!
