I have tried them 3 times. The first time was ok, about what I would expect for fast food. The second time I went for breakfast. I was in the drive true, it was 10ish. The lady on the drive true said they don’t have to staff to serve and apologized for not being able to help me. Sort of frustrating. The 3rd time, a Saturday around 1 pm, I went through the drive thru, it took 3 or 4 minutes for them to acknowledge I was there. When they did, they asked me to wait. I waited another 5 minutes before leaving. So I couldn’t tell you how the food it, I never am able to order any.

Went here for lunch today. The burger was kind of dry, however I give it 4 stars because of the people behind the counter. They had a girl who was special needs working today along with her aid. She was supposed to call out the numbers when your order was ready. She was too shy to do it. The crew along with us kept cheering her on. It was great to see a company giving this girl an opportunity like that and the crew supporting her. Great job Jack in the Box! You have my business!

Terrible food. If you like soggy lettuce and grease soaked tacos, this is your place. Crappy food!

Third time I have been to this location. Food is fine, but the service is always SLOW. Waited 17 minutes this time on 6 tacos and a chicken sandwich. Wont be going back.

Despite the terrible reviews, we decided to give the Lees Summit Jack n the Box location a try, because we love JNTB. We should have listened to the reviews. It was not worth our time or money! We went at about 11:30am(the empty parking lot at lunch time should have been another clue) and our food was cold and seemed like leftovers. Definitely didn’t appear to be anywhere near fresh. But the worst part of all was the extreme lack of customer service. The drive thru lady had a very difficult time placing our order, never said a word to us once we pulled up to the window and then literally shoved our bag out the window and then immediately it. Unbelievably rude! And THEN, to top it all off, they left out one of our sandwiches. My husband went inside to get things correct, and another lady working there(the manager) proceeded to argue with him, insisting that she did put the sandwich in the bag! After arguing for a minute she finally went to make another sandwich, shaking her head and clearly angry the entire time. Then she handed the sandwich to another working to give to my husband, never saying another word to him. So not only was there no apology, but they were just shockingly rude. Definitely not how an establishment should be run! I can’t believe the owner would allow this! Moral of the story: Listen to the other reviews and don’t waste your time here.

When this location opened it was always clean, friendly staff, and quality food in relation to other fast food places. Since then they have cut back on staff, tables are rarely clean, the food is slopped together haphazardly, and the condiment dispensers are always empty. Every few months I decide to give it another try and always walk away disappointed.

We found that this J.B. to be very good with juicy Hamburgers. If you want a cheap burger on the go, then I think this is the place to go. At least the burger’s use real beef,-unlike some other cheap burgers at other fast food chains!

If you go inside to eat, the workers will assume you have the next hour of your life to waste. They will help a few cars in the drive-thru then yell at you that they will be with you. Then, they will help a few more cars in the drive-thru while they argue about who will have to take your order. After taking your order, they will take orders for and make food for around 10 – 15 more cars in the drive-thru before remembering that they have a customer inside that is still waiting on food. They will finally bring it out. It will be cold. I guess just go through the drive-thru if you really need jack in the box that bad. I probably just won’t bother.

I was so excited to see that Jack in the Box came to Lee’s Summit. I used to stop there any time I went to St. Louis since we didn’t have them in KC. Sadly, I’ve been there twice and have been disappointed. Nobody seems particularly motivated to be there. Slow service, one time bordering on ridiculous. Food is average, for some reason I remember it being tastier. I’d have to give it an official rating of «Meh». The one time that I had a ridiculous wait, I mentioned it to the manager on duty, and I was quite respectful about it, not some ranting crazy person. Her attitude was basically, oh well.

Keepin’ it classy Lee’s Summit, keepin’ it classy. I go to Lee’s Summit almost directly across the highway from this Jack in the Box nearly every Monday. It was only now I found it’s existence due to a text at the event I was attending, from my son. «Get me food.» Neither of us could find this on our dumb smart phones, so I took a left on 291,(thinking it was near Wal-mart, after googling it the other day.) And it is. It sits on the outter road on the south corner of Wal-mart. So I drove up to order. I’ve not been much of a fan of JITB since visiting it in St. Louis. So I didn’t expect much. Their menu is much the same. Some of their offerings is beyond me… why in the world would I order a sandwich called The Big Mess? I ordered 2 cheese burger plain, a large seasoned curly fry, a small seasoned curly fry. Their prices are fair, but I thought their French fry prices were outrageous. For $ 1 you can get regular fries, but curly seasoned fries cost $ 1,59 for the same bag. Their double cheeseburger was too expensive for what it is. Their regular cheeseburger is $ 1.59(or close). The regular cheese burger is kind of small, smaller than a quarter pounder, hence the smaller price. As for taste, I like Arby;s seasoned fries better than Jack in the Box, but that’s my opinion. Everything I ordered was fresh. The bun had sesame seeds on it, the patty wasn’t bigger than the bun. The cheese well placed. While I’ll be coerced to return to JITB, so I’ll return, it’s not my favorite. But it’s cool that it exists. Too bad there’s not one in Independence, MO.

The only good thing was the 10% Senior Discount on all items and possibly the good advertising for McDonald’s. And now the rest: Accuracy of Order: Got it wrong Food Temperature: Kind of warm at best Freshness: Oversize semi-stale buns, dry chicken patty and fries that were pretty much DOA. Friendliness: They seemed confused and possibly stoned. Speed of service: They give you a number and bring the food out. One might think that would mean it would be fresher but I think it is just a way of stalling for slow food prep. since it was far from fresh. Appearance of workers: Apathetic. Not beyond not caring at all about safety. Overall Taste: Bland Dining Area: Uninviting and clunky looking. And this location is only a month old. For the record, I am a self-confessed McDonald’s and Wendy’s fan so it’s not like I am against all fast food. This was truly bad. May you have better luck than I did.

At the end of July the business is still pretty busy from being new. Expect a line in the drive thru in the evening. Service times have been marginal. Understandable on my first visit, but have seen little improvement. As with employees at many fast food chains I saw employees who took their time even though they were slammed. Cashiers were polite, although the lack of knowledge was evident if you started asking questions. Everyone is new so you have to let that slide. Food Quality was fair. The first visit they had over prepped side items such as my curly fries and they tasted stale. The sourdough jack was pretty tasty reminiscent of Frisco sandwiches from the competition. The Jr Jack is a pretty good value and although not $ 1 it is a little larger for the extra 19 cents. I prefer a burger fully dressed with lettuce, tomato, and onion vs ketchup, mustard and pickle. The tacos… Their tacos come with taco sauce already staining the shell in the center of the taco. The meat makes you question what you’re eating. The first visit, like with the fries, had been sitting on the heat rack for awhile and had actually sealed themselves on top more like a a pocket than a taco. Subsequent visit was more fresh, but both had the stains from the taco sauce and the questionable meat. Atmosphere is still pretty nice as it is brand new. Soda fountain area was a mess my first visit and subsequent visits had items such as condiment cups and napkins missing(but was cleaner). They have an automated ordering machine in addition to 2 registers but on my 3rd visit the screen was frozen and the employees were walking back and forth seemingly not taking any notice. Overall I like the varied menu, which includes items like a chicken teriyaki bowl, jalapeño poppers, and egg rolls along with standard burger fare. 24 hours is always plus given the there is limited options in the AM especially on the week days. The place has the potential for upgrade to four stars once they work out the kinks.
