Not my type of food. I had a hamburger that was strange, the bun was odd and grilled. No french fries can be ordered here. It was hard to find anything that I would want to eat on the menu. I am sure others disagree with my opinion, but this place is not great. Weird food in my opinion.

This is our favorite place to eat breakfast! It’s a great find in Lees Summit! Their homemade baked goods are incredible !

This is my favorite restaurant, period. The employees are great and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The hummus rules my life and I get it every time. I’ve never ordered something and disliked it. Everything has tasted amazing every single time. Seriously. Give it a try.

Have been here on many occasions but mostly for breakfast and brunch. Everything I have order has always been great and the service is pleasant! Hidden gem in a strip mall in Lee’s Summit.

I called to order a cake for my daughter’s birthday it was about 30 hours in advance, their website says 24 to 48 hours in advance. Well they took my order for a chocolate cake, took all of my info, but when I went the next day to pick it up they acted like they had no clue what I was talking about. The«cake lady» in the background during my call asking me questions about the cake NEVERMADEIT! I wanted something special. But had to get a cake from Target.

While I cannot provide a full review as we ended up not eating there, I’ll give you my limited experience. A friend and I decided to go there for breakfast. We were seated and as we looked though the menu, it seemed a bit pricey for the caliber of restaurant it is. I also disliked the fact that they served only turkey substitutes and offered no pork with breakfasts items. The hummus seemed way too pricey as well. The biggest turn off was our waiter who brought the water. He looked like he hadn’t showered for days and his grooming was not something that I find appropriate for food service. Both my friend and I decided to leave because of these reasons.

I wanted to like this place, but the mediocre food in the under trained staff made it hard to love this place. We did go there for breakfast on a Saturday morning. You should know that most of their breakfast meat options are turkey as they do not serve pork and the gluten-free options do not extend it to the waffles or pancakes. They did try to be accommodating on dietary restrictions but the lack of clear guidance on the menu and the fact that the staff typically poor answers and limited knowledge made the process rather laborious. And again, their accommodation on dietary restrictions only extends to certain items on the menu and it seemed that half the time their solution was simply to remove the offending ingredient rather than have a substitution. The food itself, sadly, was not that special either. It got the job done and filled us up, but for a place that presents itself as providing fine food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner it was only marginally better than a Perkins or IHOP. I think this place could become great, but it definitely has some more work to do. P. S. They do seem to be well known for their quality pastries and desserts. We did not have any of those though so I cannot speak to their quality.

I enjoyed my breakfast here with friends. I ordered Shatto Chocolate Milk(rich and creamy, yummy! :)), Breakfast Bird Omelette with a side of seasoned potatoes(good but it came with less«stuffing» than I would have expected, especially very little avocado), Classic Cheese Blintzes(pretty good but I likely wouldn’t order it again) and a side of salsa. I just noticed that the menu says that an omelette comes with a side of seasonal fruit and though we all ordered an omelette, none of us were served a side of fruit, odd. Our waitress was helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my meal and would try this place again for breakfast as I like that their breakfast menu has a Mediterranean flair and also that they serve turkey sausage and bacon instead of pork, since I’m not a fan of pork and turkey is healthier anyway :)

I went here for brunch after recommendations from a friend. I really wanted to love it but unfortunately I did not. The staff was great and I liked the overall atmosphere but the food did not live up to my expectations. Brunch is my favorite meal of the week and I love eggs Benedict. At this place I tried the eggs Alaska; which is their version of a salmon eggs Benedict. I had to search a lot to find any salmon on there, very stingy with the salmon… Overall taste was ok, but I won’t return because of the simple reason that I want my brunch to be more then just ok.

My friend & I tried this place out today & we loved it!!! Great customer service & excellent food! It was hard to pick out what to have since there are so many good things on their menu. I ordered the California Turkey(or chicken, I can’t remember) sandwich. They had me at «homemade guacamole!» For dessert we tried the Hummingbird Cake which was also excellent! The cream cheese frosting was made with real vanilla bean. Since it was a little cold out I ordered a hot Chai(tea). WOW!!! It was just as good as Starbucks! I will absolutely be back to try other items on the menu!

I wanted to give Fig Tree a higher rating, I really did. But there were just some problems that hindered me — that I will be addressing here. My boyfriend and I were in the area, and we were looking to get brunch. When we first arrived, we were about to be seated at a bigger 4-person table, but then on second thought, the waitress/hostess moved us to a tiny 2-person table, which I personally believed to only be fit for one. But more on that later. Another man got seated after us next to our table, and then promptly got service. My boyfriend and I sat there for at least 10 minutes before we even saw a waiter, and then were asked for drink orders. So, that was an additional 5 minutes for waters, and then an additional 10 minutes for our chai tea lattes. The waiter seemed surprised when I asked for a non-dairy option for my latte. More specifically, I asked what kind of milks they had, and he fumbles to say they only have 1%. I told him I am lactose-intolerant, so I can’t have that. Then he proceeds to tell me he «thinks» they have soy milk. I told him that’s what I’d like, but not without hesitation. It made me nervous that he seemed to forget that there were other milk options, and I was worried that I would end up sick at the end of all of this because all they actually had was 1%. We quickly placed our orders with the drink order, so we wouldn’t have to wait another 10 minutes. I had the Tom’s All-in-One, and my boyfriend had the French Toast with fruit. He didn’t really like it, and said it was eggy. I had a few bites and agreed. It tasted way too eggy. It had potential to be really good, but the«egginess» pulled that down. I enjoyed my Tom’s All-in-One, but I would argue that it’s really to screw up eggs and potatoes. Now when all the food arrived, there was barely any room for him to set the plates down. All it would take is an accidental knock, and a plate would have ended up on the floor. Like I previously said, way too small for two people. The man seated next to us was alone and had room to move his arms around. Not so for us. We skipped getting a sweet because of how long it took to finally get everything. We had been there for more than an hour. The service alone will deter me from coming back, but the food isn’t even stellar enough to want me to come back. Overall: 3⁄5 Food: 3.5÷5 Service: 2⁄5 Atmosphere: 2.5÷5

I didn’t find anything particularly interesting about this bakery. Even considering the limited eating options in Lee’s Summit, it didn’t stand out among them. We were awkwardly seated by the host who started leading us to a table then got cold feet about it for some reason, then turned and placed us right by the register where the workers congregate. Then she sat another gentleman at the table next to us and immediately took his order. Then we heard arguing about who was supposed to help us after about 10 minutes. Like if we aren’t your table, that’s fine. But can you let someone know? And I know this happens at chains(sometimes for good reason, honestly), but they weren’t very busy when we went. I ordered the brioche French toast with fruit. The fruit was plentiful, but the toast was pretty eggy. I added a side of potatoes which I feel like I had to add a lot of ketchup to because they were pretty dry. My girlfriend enjoyed the visit much more than I did. Oh, the chai tea latte was really good though. Food: 2⁄5 Chai tea latte: 5⁄5

My husband and I came here for brunch on our 7th anniversary. We both ordered the biscuits and gravy, eggs and potatoes. Our food was scrumptious! The turkey gravy had the perfect amount of spice to it. The biscuits were perfect homemade yumminess. The eggs were fresh. All the food is local and the eggs are cage free. It does take a while for your food to come out but when you dig in you realize it was worth the wait. The service was friendly. We’ll definitely be back.

We’re in town for visiting family and going to see the Renaissance festival, so on the way home we decided we needed a big brunch for the journey home. I was looking on Unilocal and found this place! It’s really lovely. My girlfriend loves hummus so when I saw a café with hummus we had to go! The eggs here are fresh and they can help you out of you have special dietary needs. I was being bad, but normally I’m on an Atkins-influenced diet; knowing this place could probably be Atkins friendly was great! The hummus was great and the buttermilk biscuit? To die for! Also we ordered the Nutella brownie and wow rich and delicious. Everyone should try this place out the staff is super nice!

Easily my favorite place to eat in Lee’s Summit. They have excellent vegetarian options and locally sourced and organic food. I’ve yet to be disappointed by a meal. My go to for breakfast is the Mediterranean morning and for lunch the natures bounty.

Greek salad was huge and they can accommodate gluten free needs here. We have already been back for coffee and dessert and the gluten free chocolate mousse cake was amazing! A little less fluffy than a regular cake, but my son didn’t notice as it was amazing. They can give almond milk instead of creamer too. Very friendly service and comfy booths make this a local favorite. Highly recommend for breakfast, lunch and dessert.

Wasn’t for us. No one finished anything on their plate. The hamburgers were dry, overcooked and tasteless according to the boys. My reuben was the worst reuben sandwich I’ve ever had. The meat was sparse and not very flavorful. The wife’s French dip philly had very little meat and came with a very odd tasting au jus. Very sub par food with very high prices = not again.
