My friend and I came for brunch. The restaurant itself is very cookie-cutter, not decorated and very simple in design. The food is nothing like the restaurant! We both ordered the crab meat eggs benedict and a side of one pancake, because YES you can order ONE pancake! I love my salty with my sweet so that was a perfect pairing! The benedict was very good, the crab meat was great! I asked for plain sausage as I’m not a fan of spicy sausage and it came out fine!

I go there all the time and order the fried egg sandwich. Love the atmosphere and I go there before school with my friends since it’s right there! 10⁄10!

The food was very good. The waitress was great. Would have given a 5 star if it wasn’t so noisy! I had vegetable omelet, Jerry had breakfast burrito. We both got very full.

Great food and service. I would revisit! Be prepared for a wait! Downside is there’s no place to sit while you wait. Once we were seated and order the food came pretty quick and was good.

We came here for a pre-Easter brunch with my kids, grandma and my brothers kids. We arrived at 9:30 and the place was PACKED!!! One downside is that there really is no place to sit or stand to be out of the other diners way while you are waiting to be seated. You feel like you are intruding upon there space while waiting for 30 + minutes to eat. Once we were seated our food and drinks came out very quickly. I ordered the biscuits & gravy with 2 over easy eggs and bacon. Everything was delish– except for the bacon. It could have been cooked about 1 more min in my opinion; otherwise everyone enjoyed their meal. When Ginger Sues gets busy it’s crowded and loud, but with few breakfast spots to choose from in the area this one tends to fill up quickly! Ps their pancakes are HUGE and hang over the plate and look amazing! I’m gonna try one next time. Give Ginger Sues a try, I think you’ll like it.

Great spot for breakfast!!! Had the crab Benedict and a side of toast. Crab tasted good, wasn’t overpowering whatsoever. Hollandaise wasn’t broken either major plus.

How do you beat this place? Biscuits & Gravy are superb, pancakes are enormous and fluffy, pretty sure the syrup is the genuine article, and the service is always spot on. Had cappuccino, B&G, short stack, and a couple eggs(didn’t eat everything) for $ 12. I’ve paid double that at The Big Biscuit sadly… for far inferior fare. Was in an out on a busy Sunday around noon in less than half an hour. Perfect.

We went to the lee summit location around 1330 on a Saturday and had no problems finding a seat. Our waitress Tonya was great, efficient and got us settled in comfortably. The food portion was more than we both expected even for brunch, tasted great, not greasy and loved being able to substitute sides for fruits and toast without additional charge. Food tasted clean and healthy. Coffee was also great and again our waitress was around to fill our cups never leaving us dry. The one thing they may want to consider is getting some pleasant greeters who say hi and welcome how many are in your party. Instead we walked in with two girls starring at us silently and waiting for us to tell them. Like stated above, the food, waitresses and satisfaction of other customers saved them. Will definitely make it a regular visit even with a 40 min drive =)

Great food at a good price. I always get the breakfast burrito. It’s delicious. We also got the salmon Benedict with scrambled eggs. The salmon was perfectly cooked. The biscuits are also amazing.

It pains me to give 2 stars to Ginger Sue’s, as cute as the Liberty location looks, right off the historic square. But I haven’t been to that one. A friend and I were hungry in Lee’s Summit one Saturday and gave this one a try. The food was good. I got a salad with grilled salmon; the salmon was moist and well seasoned, with a nice vinaigrette dressing. I tried a piece of my friend’s fried fish, and it was crispy on the outside and tender-flaky on the inside. But the NOISE! The place was packed, and I don’t think there’s a stitch of fabric or carpet in the place to absorb the sound. And can we put the blender in the back, out of the dining room, please? Their smoothies must be really good, because that blender ran almost non-stop the whole time we were there, making it almost impossible to hold a conversation. Our server was nice, and the breakfast menu especially looked inviting. But I think I’ll try the little one up on sleepy Liberty Square next time.

Amazing breakfast! Great, clean place to eat. Fast, friendlt servers… i highly recommend! We had cajun crêpe, Denver Omlet & I got a side of potatoes & sausage gravy. Gravy came in a ramekin — but was more than enough — it was the perfect amount of food! 3 of us had breakfast & each of us had a specialty coffee, and our bill was still only $ 29 Bathroom was clean, and even had Angel soft tp! Very important when detoxing across the country ;)

I came here for breakfast the other day with my boyfriend. It’s a shame this place isn’t in a better location because it is a severely underrated restaurant in Lee’s Summit. We were seated right away upon arrival. I wish I had more to say about this place, but we were in and out SO fast, that we literally could not critique much of the process, haha. The total time it took from walking in, to ordering, eating and paying the bill was 30 minutes. The food was great for the price and taste. My boyfriend ordered a full stack(4 pancakes) of chocolate chip pancakes. The cost was about $ 5.75. **NOTE** THEPANCAKESAREHUGE and most people can’t really eat more than 1.5−2. They literally are the size of the large plate. I ordered the Aloha Awakea Omelette. The cmelette is made with ham, pineapple, cheese and shredded coconut on top. It comes with a side of toast and fresh fruit, or with breakfast potatoes. I ordered the fruit and whole grain bread. The omelette was fantastic — not too much coconut shredded over the eggs so the taste blended quite nicely. The only reason why I didn’t give it a 5 was because the hot chocolate that I ordered before my meal wasn’t very«hot/warm» at all. I seem to have difficulty finding a breakfast place that does in MO. Other than that, the service was great.

Excellent wait staff and an light/airy location to have brunch. It did not take long to get our meal either. Reasonable and delicious. I would recommend others support local business as well.

I had the Crab Benedict on my first trip to this wonderful place. For 8.95 I was expecting imitation crab and not much. but hey, I wanted crab. I got real crab — and quite a bit of it for as much as I paid. It was a very pleasant surprise and it was delicious. I am very excited to find this breakfast spot and already have another trip planned out!

Been there twice. First time was me and wifey. Food was good 5 stars. Decided to take our kids this time. My son did not like the chocolate pancakes and management wouldn’t switch for something else. So beware if you don’t like the food you cannot return for something else. Kids are tough to satisfy, but this is the only place you cannot return food If you aren’t satisfied. So I paid for an order of waffles for my son. We will not be returning here just because the customer satisfaction really put a sour taste in my mouth.

Amazing food at an amazing price! I heard about this hidden jem on Unilocal of course :) We came on a Saturday around 8 ish. We were seated right away! It started to get busy around 9 o’clock. Anyways, let’s talk about the food. I tried the Egg Benedict and mom built her own omelette both dishes were full of flavor, great portions and again, reasonably priced! Our server was a sweetheart and made sure we were taken care of :)

Heather took excellent care of us, and she suggested a pumpkin latte which was lovely. The $ 4 short stack of blueberry pancakes was almost as big as the Griddle’s in LA– which are massive.(Almost the size of the plate!) they were fluffy and light, and best of all The Midwestern blueberries are über sweet, huge and plentiful. Equally impressive is the berry compote. The crab and andouille sausage Benedict $ 8.95 with side of seasoned potatoes was also eggcellent.(I know, I know… I couldn’t resist. I am awash in happy post breaky bliss.) We arrived at 945am on a Sunday. Got a seat right away, just before they got busy, but we’re cold as we were near the front door. And it does get loud, but doesn’t detract from the yummy food and great service– the severs had good teamwork(clearing played, ran our bill, etc.)

Ate there for the first time last week with the hubby for lunch. I had the tenderloin with fries. He had the veggie burger with Apple slaw. All was yummy and delicious… the fries were just okay. The tenderloin was cookbook good on a buttered bun that it tasted very naughty for my health. Some how it did not make me feel fat and overly full afterwards! No indigestion problems and I actually felt pretty good. In fact I totally craved it again the next day… and the next LOL. Veggie burger is very soft but obviously home made. My husband loved it but said next time he’s going to order without the bun. Service was perfect, not overly doting and not totally dismissive. Everyone was really friendly. Our waitress warned us about the veggie burger which was nice. Definitely going there again!
