Fun little place, lees summits version of manifesto… expect pricy concoctions(worth the money). Wish it was a little darker in there with more candle light… if you’re planning on staying for more than two hours, make sure and request a longer reservation. We were ready to stay(and drink) longer, but they were anxious to move us along. All and all we will be back, would like to see more young hipsters next time!

Love this bar. It’s cute. It’s quaint. It has AMAZING cocktails(I highly suggest ordering something smoked in the winter or something from the Farmer’s Market selection when it’s available). The bartenders are awesome and incredibly knowledgeable. If you sit at the bar, they’ll talk you through everything. Once we even had one of the bartenders make us a special drink that’s not on the menu when they found out we were there for a bachelorette night. I selfishly want this to remain hidden and be quiet and easy to get to. But it won’t. And it deserves recognition.

Good atmosphere… A bit loud and very intimate and with any of these places the drinks are over mixed and over priced. Hope it gains a following because it would be fun to go a few times a year.

This place a fantastic addition to Lees Summit. Excellent quality, taste and innovation. And, in case you’ve missed it folks, it’s a speakeasy! So, for heaven’s sake, you don’t give your REAL name when making a reservation at a speakeasy! Have a little fun and be creative when developing your own alias. And, no, I won’t tell you mine, because yes, it’s phenomenal. ;) I tried the Four Sticks and the Cascadia. The Cascadia was my favorite-with, gin and well, the essence of Douglas Fir somehow… And a pine overtones in the sugar rim? Crazy creative and pleasing. The presentation is great too; served on a small glass tray with white pine needles(I think) a carefully paired chocolate truffle and a small stick of burning incense. Four Sticks has a rum base and had an apple cider-like flavor. I am told the Wraith Sazarac, made with Kansas City Whiskey, was amazing. My sister, a writer, gave it the highest compliment possible when she proclaimed it a drink that Hemmingway(yes, THAT Hemmingway) would have loved.

We made a reservation for The W two weeks ago, at least we thought. When we arrived they did not have our reservation. The guy came down and I showed him the text on my phone and all he could say was, «we don’t have it.» Right before he slammed the door on us. Poor customer service. Obviously it was a mistake on their part that they were not willing to fix or compensate. We’ll just be sticking with Manifesto. I know they handle things in a more professional manner.

Absolutely wonderful space. Just moved from a larger city(not that it matters at all) and this gem of a place has a great urban feel but better cocktails without overcrowding and bad attitudes. For folks who want a a craft cocktail after dinner– this is your place. A great vibe, smells insanely good(Fall incense) and very nice people. Makes me happy to have moved here. Hope much success for these folks.

Best cocktails you’ll find in Lee’s Summit and on par with the ones you’ll find in Kansas City at places like the Rieger and Manifesto. Lee’s Summit’s only Speakeasy and probably one of the best in the KC metro area. I had a smoked vanilla bourbon, made in front of me and and a mezcal/watermelon type cocktail. Both were phenomenal, though their art of smoking a cocktail in front of you is quite fascinating and beautifully done. The bar is small and intimate, located above businesses below… only a small door with a 6 ½ above it and a buzzer lets you know you are at the right place. After walking upstairs there are about 10 – 12 seats at the bar and the rest are small tables in the room. They had a small hiccup and their card machine went down while we were there. I don’t carry cash and didn’t have a debit card but they were kind enough to call us later that night and charge us over the phone(the fact that I could trust them to do so says a lot). I will be making a return — all drinks were $ 12 — while high in price, the quality, flavor, experience and craftsmanship make it all worthwhile.

A hidden Speak Easy in eastern Jackson County. I really debated writing this review as I may prefer to keep this jewel for myself but I really want to see them succeed! Atmosphere is fantastic, quiet jazz allows us to carry on a conversation without yelling. Service is supreme. Drinks are truly art! Thank you Mike! This bartender is an artisan. 20 years of experience makes him one of Kansas City’s professionals. I had an apple wood smoked bourbon Old Fashion. Incredible. Four of us each had two drinks trying something different all the way around. FIVESTARS!!! You will be well served to text your reservation request several weeks in advance. Provide your«name»(my alias was Screamn Bad Boy Strings, I play Blues Harp) and leave early to find parking as downtown Lee’s Summit can get busy on the weekends. Address is 6 ½(I kid you not) 3rd Street. You have to ring in and provide your«name» before they unlock the door to allow entrance. Dress code: Guys leave the ball caps in the truck you are not tippn cows. Also no flip flops it isn’t the beach. Seriously this is class so don’t muck it up. Find them on FB or their website and read the rules. Then be prepared for a classy new experience!

This place is surprisingly easy to find if your watching for the address! The atmosphere is a cozy little space with a few tables and a small bar lit by candles which put off a surprising amount of light. We sat at the bar which was really cool we were able to see all of the cocktails being made so we got to see them before ordering I started out with the Giggle Water because I heard it was good which is a play on Gin and Tonic while it was delicious it wasn’t my favorite of the night I settled on the Lavender Bees Knees not sure what was in that baby but it was delicious! They do have a Farmers Market which is a different drink every week, which is a fresh idea of most places seasonal menus. Couple of things to be aware of there only open Friday and Saturday evenings, Reservation only, no food served, and a STRICT two hour stay and the you must LEAVE your welcome to finish your drink on the eventually it will be a patio. I will defiantly go back love their fresh herb infused cocktails it’s a great place to start your evening!

Very cool bar. The drinks take a bit to make, but they tell you that upfront. It’s well worth the wait(not that it was really all that long). They use a very unique technique to «smoke» the drinks. Their farmers market drink each weekend was really good when we were there. It was a habanero margarita. Great place for a small group of couples for drinks. Will definitely be back.

So not Lees Summit! Great atmosphere and the owners will give every detail about the place. Only open Friday/Saturday and you must have reservations. No food but drinks are top shelf! Good luck finding this place. Once you do you’ll be happy to share
