Pay attention to the reviews. They are spot on. 1) Called 4 times. Line was busy the first, 3 times. Figured, wow they must be swamped(never been here before). When I finally put in my order, they told me 20 minutes. We arrived in about 17 minutes, of course, ready to pay and wait a few minutes. 2) After we paid, there were about 5 people waiting for their orders, so we moved out of the way. The place is TINY. About 4 tables and you are basically saying«excuse me» when you take a step up front, back, left or right. One guy was leaning against the soda fridge. 3) It’s now been 30 minutes. We heard Chinese screaming in the back. There’s an open window where you can look. There are two ladies working the to go orders. There are tons of receipts on the tables. You see them put stuff in and take stuff out. They staple the bags, then unstaple it. Call out, hey did you make this and that? Everyone is laughing because they are clearly under pressure and getting the orders mixed up. 4) 35 minutes later, we hear«did you make the chicken lo mein no vegetables?» They haven’t even begun our order. 5) Finally, they come out with our bag. Of course, we check it. It is missing an order of vegetable spring rolls that came free with the order for $ 15 order. I go up to the register and tell the 16 year old son that. He turns around to tell them, and he comes back to say«oh she said they are in there, can I check your bag?» I hand him the bag, he opens it and turns to the lady who drops some in there. They don’t even check. 6) Everything tasted like normal Chinese food. But 35 minutes when you said 20 minutes, and then getting all confused and backing up in orders? I will not be back. There are chinese restaurants every block.

This place is one of the better take out places I’ve been to. Especially when ordering Singapore noodles and the beef chow fun(beef with wide rice noodles). We also like the Human chicken. They also have the best egg rolls, big and has actual shrimp and bits of pork! Not just full of cabbage or fake out spring rolls like most places. The hot and sour soup is decent too. Their delivery service is awesome and we use it quite a bit. So glad this is near home and in the town center.

All the crappy reviews and general rudeness of this place makes it my favorite chinese place ever.

We ordered 3 take out meals last night. I got very sick on my meal which was the combination chow mein. Either the meat –chicken/beef/shrimp was not cooked properly or was of very poor quality. I called to talk to them about this and they immediately didn’t understand why I would be calling them. TERRIBLE customer service — let this be a warning.

Hmmm, sorry to see the poor reviews here. I agree there are few good Chinese restaurants in Loudoun. I have only been here twice about a year apart but it was pretty good. Both times were at lunch time. The food portions were very generous for the price. The service was super fast and the women were very nice to us. The Chicken with Black Bean sauce was one of the best I have had around. My daughter said her Lo Mein was about a 7 on a 1 – 10 scale. I really can not complain about it based on these two experiences. The best Leesburg Chinese is Jasmine I would say(by Tuskies).

I’m not a princess when it comes to Chinese food. Even the dingiest, most unfriendly spot is OK in my book IF it serves delicious dishes. This place, unfortunately, misses the mark entirely. When Great China first opened, I ordered take-out. I had Moo Shi Pork and fried dumplings. The service was decent and the food was pretty tasty. However, I recently visited for lunch and was totally disappointed. There has been a great decline in quality and service. My Issues: 1. Poor Service. I hate being treated like a nuisance in any customer service situation. As soon as I came in, I did not feel welcomed. 2. Wrong Order. I ordered a lunch combination(chicken and broccoli, egg roll, fried rice & can of soda) but was asked if I want a «large order» or a «small order». I answered«small» which apparently wasn’t the right answer. I got a small plate of chicken and broccoli, a small bowl of white rice, and was charged extra for a bottle of water. The total price… more than the lunch combination… hmm… 3. General cheapness. The quality of everything, from the plates to the chicken, was extremely poor. I don’t expect much, but really, my fork shouldn’t break when I’m trying to eat a piece of broccoli. So basically, I had one bad experience. And honestly, it was enough for me not to want to come back. Not recommended.

This place used to have pretty decent Peking Duck(not too many restaurants want to bother with it), but it has gone down, steadily… last night’s order for a whole duck was mainly skin, barely enough for two small pancakes. When I called about it, I was assured it was a whole duck… NOT true, so I will not order from them, again. The other items that have been ordered, in the past, were just so-so.

With a couple exceptions, the Chinese food options in Loudoun are otherwise universally awful, but Great China’s food deserves special mention. While the counter and dining area are generally clean and decent, and the service is bored but accurate, they belie a mediocre — and deteriorating over time — quality of cuisine that really highlights the low points of the experience. We’d gone there a few times before and found them purely average, but in desperation for a quick late-night fix on Halloween, we made the mistake of trying them again. Wonton Soup: Typical oily water, doughy dumplings, and unidentifiable meat-like substance that typifies careless, junky offerings of this«soup,» of which there are almost no examples of decency without fusing it to Taiwanese or Thai. Chicken With Vegetables: Absolutely unspectacular. That the veggies were probably fresh didn’t surmount their being cooked to mushiness, coupled with squishy chicken fragments, and served in a swimming pool of soy sauce that I had to drain for several minutes. Nothing — but nothing — made this stand out. Chicken With Cashews: This was the real prizewinner for disgust. Dry, grimy chicken bits fried to unrecognizability with scraps of overcooked veggies. The cashews? Sprinkled on top because they couldn’t be bothered to even mix them in, much less cook with them a tad. This dish is a health hazard and left the diner sick and bathroom-bound through the night and next day. Oh, and if you like fried rice — you know, the brown rice with veggies in it — hope you won’t be disappointed if you just get plain white rice soaked in soy sauce. We learned our lesson well. There are better options than Great China(all two of them within driving range). We know where they are and we will stick to them in the future.

The food was o. k, I went there for lunch. It wasn’t the best Chinese I have had the fried rice was unfortunately bland. I had the general tso lunch the sauce was flavorful. The one thing I did notice was in the restroom on top of the paper towel dispenser there was a thick coat of dust on top which looks like it had not been wiped down in a while and also there was a huge cob web in the corner of the restroom. And a used rag left on top of the tank on the toilet. These are small things but everyone knows that the cleanliness of a restaurant restroom is an indicator of how clean the kitchen is. I attached some photos to show the restroom

Pretty decent Chinese place. It has all of the standard menu fare, but they will make custom dishes for you upon request. I really like the crab rangoon, and the Kung Pao here is good too(could be a bit more spicy). My advice to the management though, is stop being so silly about the drinks, $ 1.25 per can and no fountain sodas? Come on, we are eating salty food here, people want to have a drink.

I’ve been odering from Great China for 3 years And their service and food have been fast and good. They are convenient as I live nearby, the food has improved tremendously lately, I ordered carry out Saturday night, everything was flavorful and fresh, from their lo mein to their beef w/broccoli which was very tender to their shrimp in lobster sauce. I will definiitely keep them at the top of my list for quick takeout

This is one of the worst Chinese restaurants Leesburg has to offer. I honestly can’t believe they are still in business. My bf and his son mistakenly ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork on Monday. They were both sick as dogs all night! Luckily by morning everything was out of their systems and they could function. I also have to agree with the other reviews in that the service is terrible. If I could give this restaurant 0 stars it would be more accurate. Stay away!

Still don’t get why my bf thinks this is the best chinese food in the area?! Because he won’t try any other places his statement is invalid. In my opinion, I’ve had better… way better. Ordered a lot from here like I mentioned bf’s fave so I can give you a rundown on a few of their dishes. The best dish so far has to be their House Special Mein Fun. Its a thin rice noodle dish with chicken, beef, shrimp. and egg. Kinda like fried rice minus the rice. Now their OK dishes are Egg Foo Young with Shrimp. Shrimp with Mixed Vegetables(which should be the other way around with their lack of shrimp), and Chicken with Cashews(bf’s favorite). The worst one which is my all-time favorite is Walnut-Crispy Shrimp. They had their shrimps deep fried which in my opinion ruined the dish. I have tried this dish at other restaurants and it was always been prepared the same way, lightly breaded. This cannot be the best chinese food in Loudoun County. Please help me!

Typical small take out chinese joint with a few seatings at the front. The foods here were mediocre at best and horrible customer service. It was a mistake coming in here. Won’t be back.

This is absolutely some of the best Chinese food I have ever had! And fairly inexpensive to boot. I always get the General Tso’s Wonton, which is a dish unique to this restaurant, as I tend to check other Chinese menus to see if they are available elsewhere to no avail. Indeed, this has become my go-to Chinese take-out place and I probably won’t find better elsewhere. However, I did have to dock one star because of some of their horrible customer service. The person behind the counter or over the phone is rarely friendly, speak monotone, and seem like they just don’t want to see you. I have a feeling if they better trained their staff or just simply got a new one, they would receive the respect and positive reviews they deserve.

Tucked away inside the Lansdowne Town Center is this mom and pop shop. This place serves Americanized Chinese food, not that there is anything wrong with that. Well being in the mood for Kung Pao Chicken, I decided to give this place another shot because it was on my way home and I needed to get something from Harris Teeters. Inside this place is pretty small, about 7 tables in total. The tables look nice and were clean. I walked up to the counter and placed the order for my usual food to test out new places. Kung Pao Chicken and Hot and Sour Soup. I really wasn’t too hungry and only wanted a small order. They have two sizes, lunch and dinner. I asked for the lunch size and said I wasn’t too hungry and wanted the smaller portion. Since it was dinner, they said no, I could only order the dinner size. I said o.k., and put my order in. Now, I had been here a couple times in the past, but I was thing maybe the chef had an off day. Well the soup came out pretty fast. The soup had a nice color and good smell. In my opinion I think they used a little too much corn starch because it was a tad on the gelatinous side, but it still tasted pretty good and was very spicy. Nice flavor all. This was the high light of my meal. The kung pao chicken came out next. I like my kung pao the traditional style, chicken, scallion, and peanuts only. This came out with green peppers, celery, carrots, peanuts, and water chestnuts. I can get over that if the chicken has flavor. I had know this before, as I had been her before and ordered the same dish. The chicken had an odd orange color You’ll be able to see by the picture. It also seemed to have a coating on the chicken, because when you bit into it, it had a soggy texture, before you got to the chicken. There was a sauce to it, but the chicken itself had no flavor. I couldn’t get over the coating on the chicken or whatever it was. The sauce was very thin like water, but it was dark brown, oily, and all on the bottom of the plate. This was how I remembered it last time I tried it, so I guess that’s just the style. My friend that live in the area, seem to think the same as me, that if you are looking for authentic tasting food, then this isn’t your place. The people here seem nice. So if you are looking for kung pao chicken, this is not your place. If you want a nice bowl of hot and sour soup, then go here. Just remember, if you want a lunch sized portion for dinner, they won’t let you. That really doesn’t bother me, it’s just business. I can live with that.
