Tropical Smoothie Cafe

The service was the worst I have experienced in a very long time. For this reason alone, I will never go back. My boyfriend and I placed our order, which included one smoothie. Two smoothies were given to us. We were not sure if there was a misunderstanding when we ordered and wondered if we had been charged for two. Not quite sure what to make of it, we sat them to the side and waited for our food. Our food was delivered and nothing was said. We were in the middle of our meal and the owner/​manager approached our table and said «Excuse me. Did you order one or two smoothies?» We told him one. He actually picked up the smoothie, which had some missing by this time, and said «Sorry» and walked away. I honestly felt violated by his actions. Maybe it is a cultural difference, but in American society, this is nothing short of rude. In the future, I will take my business to someone who will appreciate my patronage and provide good customer service.

Employees are very nice. Sometimes it’s dead, sometimes it’s packed. Smoothies are good and the wait is never very long

My girly loves their smoothies. They can be sweet, so ask for half/​sugar. We get wraps here and they’re okay.

The food and smoothies are good and the establishment is clean but that would be expected from a franchise chain. However, gonna echo what’s been said before: service is so slow and the people look like they hate their job: no smiles, drag around… The tropical smoothie in Purcellville is much more chipper and quicker!

Shakes are simply perfect, and the flat breads and sandwiches are just as good… you can’t go wrong :-)

The quality is great here but I always feel like they are super busy and only have one person working the register. This causes the wait to be a little long. It is also really hard to know when your order is up because they don’t call your name just what type of smoothie they have.
The staff is always friendly. And the food here is delicious.

Smoothies are great! But there is never anyone at the front counter. And after they finally took my order which seemed like such a big inconvenience, it took them 15 minutes. There was nobody else in the store and my smoothie only has 3 ingredients! Never again, I’ll go somewhere else that has smoothies

I gave two stars because the food and smoothies are good and it is a good place to eat at. But the service is horrible!
One visit, gentleman at the counter was on his cell phone, had it on speaker and made me feel like I was bothering him for showing up. I even told him, that he could finish his phone call. He said no its fine and took my order, never ending his call.
Second time my boyfriend and i went because we had purchased groupons. Same gentleman refused to use both groupons because he claims you cannot use two groupons from the same account on the same day. Rules say: Limit 1 per person. Limit 1 voucher per visit. He was just rude. I’ll just go to a different place. Like Panera, they have smoothies, food and decent service.

I would give this 0 stars if I could.
First time I went here, they did not accept my coupon, said their store didn’t take them.
Second time I waited in line for 15 minutes, he took a phone call with someone asking about what was in several items on the menu and did not even greet the people that were in line before me. I ended up walking out without anything after waiting for 15 minutes. (Same man behind the counter as the first time).
Third time going here (Same man behind the counter AGAIN, pretty sure he is the manager or owner). I had a gift card, I ordered and then he said sorry. my machine is not accepting those right now… I asked him to type the number in and he hesitated and then «tried» and said no sorry it isn’t working so I walked out again.
Needless to say after 3 failed wasted attempts at giving this place another try they never made the cut. BEWARE I wouldn’t go to this Tropical Smoothie.
