The best! One of my favorite restaurants in Utah. They’ve grown and always have good crowds in all the locations from Bountiful to Lehi. Teriyaki, Katsu, Pork and Steak all delicious. Authentic Mac Salad and option for brown rice and salad for lighter fare. Try it you will love it I promise.

Excellent taste here. I tried the steak, chicken, and shrimp plates. Chicken presented itself the best out of the the plates and the sauce is what I think makes the place. I find mixing the rice, macaroni salad, and greens with a light sauce was excellent. Fun place. Great food.

Wow, laulau! Food was so Ono! thank goodness for Unilocal! We immediately checked this place out after checking out the reviews here on Unilocal. My family and I are so pleased to have tried this place out and definitely coming back. The teriyaki BBQ chicken plate tasted just like the way they make it back home! Oh and don’t get me started on that Mac salad! Lol! We also had the katsu and steak plate, too! Yummy!!!

I’ve been here a handful of times and the first few times we loved it. The last two times we went the chicken was raw and covered in char. They aren’t cleaning their grills frequently enough. I couldn’t eat the chicken at all because it was literally raw. I should add that I am familiar with cooking with thighs and I know there’s a pink tint but these were indeed raw. This picture doesn’t do it justice but it was completely black and not from grill marks but from a dirty griddle. Makes me sad, we liked this place.

This is the best Hawaiian food I have ever tasted! We knew we were onto something when we showed up and the line was huge. We got a regular thinking it would be a hefty portion, but we were very wrong. It was massive! I literally ate 3 times with the amount of food I was given for $ 9.99. Not only that, but it was delicious! The katsu was crispy and juicy while the teriyaki chicken was nicely charred and flavorful.

BOMB! This place is surprisingly amazing. I was skeptical at first, but I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did. The meat is grilled fresh and the portions are appropriate! You get your money’s worth!

I absolutely love this place. I do the chicken and brown rice every time with some mac n cheese. They give huge portions! I sometimes get the 3 meat plate and take it home and feed my whole family. The kids love it.

First off, the portions are large so be prepared to eat a lot or have left overs. Great atmosphere and the food tastes great. I got the mini ekolu with the macaroni salad and brown rice. Love having this place so close. The only complaint is that they close at 9.

Great food ! Younger staff with lots of attitude but their meals make up for their lack of enthusiasm and customer Service skills . It definitively can get Bettah!

This place is great! We eat here often. Good flavor at a nice price! If only they had spam.

I’m reducing one star today because the Steak was so hard, I literally broke my fork trying to handle that stuff, sending plastic pieces all over my table mates. During my last visit, the Steak was more red in the middle, a bit like medium rare but today was just plain plywood. Everything else was still very good though. The teriyaki chicken was still like how I dreamed it. The macaroni salad still thick and tasty(and probably still very very unhealthy but I don’t care). Oh DONOT come after 12pm on weekdays because the queue line formed almost around the whole restaurant. It’s crazy. I haven’t seen that bad of a line since last year’s Comic-Con.

Been here twice now and been super impressed. First I got the 2 choice reg meal it came with my choice of two meats, salad, and rice. My husband got that meal for me so he got me steak, chicken, macaroni salad, and 2 scoops of white rice. It was huge and it was 10.50 and worth every penny. So good! The meat cooked perfectly. Today when I went I got the mini 2 choice because the 2 choice reg is way too much food for me! I got just the salad, brown rice, and the chicken and steak again and it was good and still a lot of food for 6.50. I’ll be back here again many times because I’ve enjoyed it so much!

Wow, well it felt like going to café rio except I got teriyaki and rice. They had a really healthily long line at 1pm on a Tuesday, but I managed to get through quick enough to eat before work summoned me to the road. I had decided to try the mini mix plate for ~ $ 7.50 and I ordered rice, macaroni salad, and teriyaki chicken and steak. Next time I will try a katsu. I can understand why some folks might find their menu confusing. I had no trouble since I came here to poke through some reviews and recommendations first. Super tasty protein, and the teriyaki sauce has a very distinct honey component that I loved. All in all, wonderful value and I do agree that the way the food is prepared shows great attention to cooking it right from marination to final serving. As a chef I feel like that’s a pretty easy detail to overlook for the average customer so I enjoyed seeing that in the reviews for mo bettah. I don’t normally compare places but I felt like this was more delicious than the steak and chicken bowl at Rumbi. It was definitely the honey component of the sauce!

Some of the best Hawaiian food in Utah valley in my opinion. And for a very reasonable price too. I usually get a mini mixed plate($ 7ish) which comes with two meats, rice, and Mac salad or house salad. You definitely get your money’s worth. The teriyaki chicken and steak are incredible. Not to mention the teriyaki sauce that they give you, it is good with everything! They have some Hawaiian sun drinks that I also recommend trying. Mo Bettahs is clean and is very quick. The only thing I would change about it is I wish they had Musubi!

The meat taste charbroiled and grilled which I love. The chicken has a great grilled smoky flavor. The pork was alright, a bit too salty and tasted oily but I really like the steak and chicken! The portions are decent for the price! There is a West Valley location opening soon which I’m more than excited for!

Saying I’m a fan is a bit of a stretch, but they are the only Hawaiian place I’ve found I’d go back to. Generally the food at these places is overly sweet, overcooked, and uninteresting. It’s all about bulk for the buck. This place actually seems to care about reasonable portion size and properly cooked food. It’s refreshing. I had the mini steak with rice and a shrimp tempura on the side. The shrimp was crisp and tasty. The steak was cooked medium. Excellent.

This place has just as good as food as the SLC location, just as busy and crappy parking. What more can I say that hasn’t been said already? Great juicy tasting meat, wonderful sauces to accompany the food.

Another great casual dining option at Thanksgiving point. The grilled teriyaki aroma greets you in the parking lot and like Toucan Sam says, «Follow your nose». Sorry the younger Unilocalers may not know who Toucan Sam is. He’s the parrot on the Fruit Loop box but that’s beside the point… The steak salad was pretty simple, made with fresh ingredients, generous portions and great flavor. Next time I’m definitely trying the chicken but everything looked really good and can’t wait to go back. It’s probably me but my first time there the menu seemed confusing but I asked a lot of questions and everything ended up great!

It’s an okay place if you are craving Hawaiian food. I won’t recommend the kaluah pig, their version is VERYOILY and very bland. You can get the mini plate just to try for around $ 5 if you just want to give it a shot. I tried the breaded pork but the meat wasn’t cook, so I’m not getting that again.
