Oh yes. This place was awesome. We didn’t try sushi, had the shrimp and the filet and it was great! Get the fried rice, it was great. We sat in a booth and closed the curtains! Haha. It was great and the waitress thought it was hilarious! Great atmosphere and vibe!

Sushi was delicious but small. The service was horrible. When we first walked in the look on the servers face was of annoyance. She acted like she didn’t want us there. She never smiled the whole time we were there. I’m a big spender and usually drop 100 bucks on sushi just for me. So the least she could do is make sure our water was filled promptly. Horrible service. 2 stars just because the sushi was good. I will give them another chance only because my wife loved the teriyaki chicken with noodles because she doesn’t care for sushi. But if the service is bad next time around then my 100 bucks will go somewhere else.

We had a lovely experience at Tokyo. The service was wonderful. The food was delectable. Joey is an amazing itamae. The presentation of the food was flawless. We had sashimi and sushi. It was one of the best that I have had. So flavorful! The environment was inviting. I loved it and I’m excited to go back again. :)

Taste bud pleasure! This place is amazing! It’s so much nicer then Tepanyaki, flavor and service wise. They are friendly and make sure you are happy. The salmon is to die for. The steak is cooked perfectly to your preference. I love the vegetables, tender and delicious. The shrimp is very yummy too. You get a soup and salad with every tepan dinner, delicious. The fried rice and noodles are so good. This place is perfect, not too busy any time I’ve gone there. Always consistently full of flavor. I love Tokyo and I would highly recommend it! They also have sushi.

Came here for sushi with my husband, and this rating is for two years ago? We came and sat at the sushi bar. The pricing was average, and we loved all the rolls we got. It is a smaller place but they also have a teppenyaki side. We learned that it’s mostly Mongolian people running this place. We will have to come back so I can give an updated review with detailed rolls I loved.

If your mood for a good experience at a restaurant don’t go here. the sushi is good but if you order a plate of food you will have to go to McDonald’s to fill up or another fast food place. this place is pricey that’s about it.

We had never been here, but drive by it all the time. We had been talking about going with some friends, so when we both saw the offer, we both snatched it up. We have printed off TONS of coupons for different local restaurants from CityDeals, so we were familiar with the fact that you can only use them one per paying customer, but when we got there, after we had eaten and received our bill, they wouldn’t less each couple use their coupon, only one couple could because the print says on per table. Being that they have group tables and you could be seated at a table with complete strangers, we thought this was weird… what if two random couples/families came in and they each had them… apparently only one could use the coupon. When we realized that, we asked if we could just each use them since we were paying separately, but they declined us, with the waiter continuing to argue with the paying customer. Most places would say, since it was an honest mistake, no problem this time, but keep that in mind for next time. We asked them what we were supposed to do with it, and they said next time to come in with our friends but sit at different tables so that we could both use the coupon. We let them know we would not be coming in again. Upon further review, we had noticed that they had also added gratuity onto each of our bills. When we asked about this, they said their policy is on 6 or more and that it was printed in their menu. When we looked at the menu, it says on parties of more than 6. We had made a reservation for 5 ½. We had 4 adults, 1 child, and a toddler who didn’t even order a meal, just shared with her parents. We asked them to remove the gratuity because we were clearly not a party of more than 6. No one in our group was being loud, had raised their voice, swore, or caused any kind of scene… in fact, most people had no idea anything was going on. We asked simple questions, and the staff their was hostile and rude. After a 15 minute ordeal, they finally took both of our coupons, but needless to say, we will not be going back there ever again. The food was alright, but the service was terrible. If you are going to go there with a coupon, make sure no one else at your entire table has one, or you won’t be able to use it. The only good thing about that night was the chef… he did a fantastic job!

I love when they start low fire up the grill it’s really cool. I’ve been here quite a few times I’ve enjoyed it every time it’s not as crowded as the one down the street so I think you’re really going to drive this place I recommend it. Tim

Tokyo is by far the BEST and the freshest food we’ve had at a Japanese restaurant! We go there as often as we can and we take family every chance we get. I LOVE their Teriyaki Chicken and the hubby gets Sukiyaki Beef because he LOVES it!!! The Staff there is always so friendly and funny! They provide awesome service and a stellar show as they cook our dinner on their grill! We highly recommend them for all your special occasion meals! Thanks Tokyo! You guys ROCK! 10STARS!

Absolutely delicious. To start out I got the Lehi roll. I do t remember everything on it but it had tuna, tempura shrimp, avocado, lime and strawberries on it. Really unique and great! A couple people in my party got the badass roll which they said was the best sushi roll they’ve ever had. For the main course I had the fillet mignon and salmon. The salmon was cooked just the way I liked it. Very moist and fell apart. They sauce really enhanced dish. You can tell that all the meats they use are really high quality. The chef was very entertaining and knew about what he was doing. The fillet mignon and salmon dish comes with vegetables(zucchini, mushrooms, and onions) and either fried rice or noodles. I got the noodles but tried the fried rice too. You honestly can’t go wrong with either one but I was amazed by the noodles. They had a wow factor to them. They looked meh but had a slightly sweet surprise that I really enjoyed. Now for my favorite part: the fillet mignon. I’m usually not a big beef person, but I was obsessed with how good their fillet mignon was. I usually don’t like ordering beef, because I feel that restaurants try and cut corners by using cheaper meat, but Tokyo is the exception. The fillet melted in your mouth, was very juicy, seasoned to perfection, and cooked perfectly. Highly recommended. If you do plan on eating at Tokyo I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. The staff is very kind, the food is absolutely amazing, and the ambience is great!

We have been here several times. It is not usually crowded. The food is exceptional. It is cooked the way you requested it. The ingredients are fresh and top-quality. John is usually our chef and he is amazing.

My family and I arrived on a Friday night at 5 pm and were the only ones there. That was nice since we were seated quickly and we had no problem getting our food. I ordered two sushi rolls: Spicy tuna roll($ 6) and sunset roll($ 12). They were both good-ish. They were just underwhelming, especially at the price point. I’ve definitely had better sushi elsewhere in Utah. The flavors weren’t very fresh, and the rice wasn’t very good. The wasabi I got was hard and old. The one thing nice about this place is the groupon deal they have going right now.

My husband and I found this restaurant through Groupon and were worried because it didn’t have great reviews on Unilocal. They also had no wait at 7pm on a Saturday, which seemed odd, but we wanted to try something new and went anyways. It was amazing! The food was great, the service was great, and the cook was very entertaining! I would highly recommend this restaurant. The only drawback was that it was pretty pricey, even with the Groupon.

Asked waitress what was fresh. Not frozen. Out of the entire menu the only fresh item is the New York strip which isn’t even seasoned. Sorry we came here

I’ve eaten here about 4 or 5 times. Each time we received pretty good service. Sometimes it was a little slow. But it was still a positive experience. The sushi has always been really great. We have also tried the grill and were not the least bit disappointed. If fact the scallops and flaming mignon was well worth the money. I’ve also done their Groupon offer a few times and it’s a great deal! A few of the other reviews said they had problems but the 3 or 4 times we used them, we have had no problems!

I toyed long and hard deciding if I should do 3 or 4 stars. The debate went on for at least 30 seconds. I do have a propensity to be more generous than not, but in the end the 3 star debate team won. Tokyo is my favorite kind of sushi joint: located in a strip mall. I do not know what it is about strip mall sushi, but I just think it is awesome. The store front generally looks a little divey, and Tokyo does not disappoint on the outside. I was surprised when I walked in that it felt a little bigger than it looked from the outside. The restaurant is divided up into the sushi side and Japanese grill side. I have not experience the grill side, we headed straight for the sushi side of things. The booths on the sushi side are intimate, and there are a few tables as well. When we arrived we were the only people on the sushi side, and there were 2 hibachi tables full on the other side of the restaurant. So it was not a hopping evening. We ordered 2 rolls and some sashimi to start. The food was really good. Fresh fish is very apparent in sushi, and this stuff was just fresh and tasty. The rolls were nothing special, but they were good as well. I liked the extra touch that went into the wasabi leaf, and carrot garnishes. So why the 3 stars then? Well things got busy about 15 minutes after we sat down and we then were ignored. We ordered another 2 rolls and dessert. And then we waited, and waited, and waited. The dessert came out before the other rolls. Fine, that was an interesting pallet cleanser. When the last rolls arrived they were messy, and looked like they were thrown on the plate. They also were not very flavorful. The waitress did apologize for the delay in the rolls, but she did it while passing our table to help someone else and was gone before all of the words were out of her mouth. Look, I get being busy. But that is no reason for sloppy and tasteless food. I took a star off for that. Another reason for a lower star rating is the cleanliness of the bathroom. It was pretty messy while we were there. There also were some abandoned items that belong in the restaurant that were being stored in the hallway. That was a little sketchy … so I took a star off for that. Would I go back? Yes. Will it be the sushi place I rush to go back to? No. I guess I am so used to decent sushi that is less expensive in Salt Lake, that I do not know that I would go out of my way to travel down to Lehi for full priced sushi … especially if they get busy!

First time getting hibachi style food and sushi. Our friends that order sushi all the time thought it was awesome. We ordered the Vegas and sunset rolls. Beautiful presentation and very good too. Loved the hibachi style. The cook was very entertaining and made it a fun experience. The meat was awesome. Loved the teriyaki beef, shrimp was awesome too. If you are looking for a fun experience and have some time on your hands come here.
