Mike’s Donut Shoppe

The donuts are amazing– come early to get the best selection, but there is no bad one. And their bagels are some of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend… MUCH better than Dunkin Donuts– not even on the same level. They have a small sit down area and make full breakfasts as well. Everything we’ve had has been great.

I don’t know how these reviews can be accurate. My experiences at Mike’s have been awful. Every time I’ve been there for breakfast, I have had to settle for something I really didn’t want because they were «out» of my first two choices. The food I settled for was mediocre to poor at best. FYI: They sell stale bulkie rolls from Widoff’s of Water St., Worcester at a premium price. As far as I’m concerned, this place is a rip-​off.

This was the first time I’ve been in the area early enough to stop in for breakfast. I was beginning to wonder if Mike’s was ever open as the parking lot was always empty when I drove by.
Needless to say, it’s much bigger inside then it looks. I’m going to say about a dozen tables plus the counter seats. One thing I never noticed before is that they have a drive thru.
We had a busy day of shopping ahead of us so we got breakfast to go. My daughter chose a chocolate covered donut while I had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a roll. I’m not sure the little one came up for air before she finished. Anyone who knows me knows I love a freshly made egg sandwich and this one did not disappoint at all. Th e roll was soft and fresh, the bacon well done, the way I like it.
Staff was great. We hung around the counter while we waited and I’m pretty sure every waitress in the place checked on us to make sure we were being helped. The dining room was packed with smiling faces which make me want to stop by the next time I can drag my lazy self out of bed early.

My go to breakfast place. Always have great service, everyone knows everyone kind of place. Bread is all fresh baked. My fav is the raisin. I also like the corned beef hash.
What you don’t get is huge amounts of greasy blah food. Go elsewhere for that. It’s simple, delicious, and inexpensive.
They have a drive thru
The only thing that bothers me about this place is getting plastic containers for juice instead of a glass. It feels really wasteful. That’s the only reason I’m giving it four stars.

Excellent breakfast! Popular with the locals. The owner has a great personality. But don’t go there on the weekends! The service is terrible! The high school wait staff needs to be trained better. The lady that works during the week is an excellent waitress!

Coffee was very good. Tried the cheese Danish and omg. It was delicious. So rich and full of flavor. Everything is So Fresh… service is excellent… might be my new fav coffee place.

Fabulous home town feel. Regulars have their own coffee mug! Kind of like the «Cheers» of breakfast joints.

stopped in for a coffee and a couple donuts. The Boston Crème donuts were very good with lots of chocolate on top and crème filling inside. The coffee, although good, was a bit small in portion for the price you pay. Pleanty of counter space inside if you want to sit down.
