Make sure if you have a gluten allergy you make sure you let them know you can not have anything breaded or fried. Even the seasoning may have gluten. Service is not great, but it wasn’t horrible either. Food was ehhh…

Where do I begin. This place was found by accident BUT we were so glad that stumbled across this quaint café. It’s not something you find because it’s not labeled breakfast. However the service was amazing… the food delicious and the actual restaurant was out dated and old but everything else made up for that. Reminded me of diner that I went to back at home in the country when I was little. GOCHECKTHISPLACEOUTIT’S A HIDDENGEM.

Wow what a dining experience the Saturday morning just before Christmas and the place was packed but that did not deter any of the employees for putting out a fine dining experience I sat at the counter and to watch the process of putting out these meals on time was fantastic everything seemed to work like clockwork and everyone was with in the Christmas spirit of smiles and thank yous. The meals are always fantastic so I will always treat friends who haven’t been here to this place and continue to come back again and again and again.

I’ve only eaten here twice, but each time was great. Quick service, great food, large portions and reasonable prices. I’ve had a Deli Sandwich and the Country Fried Steak. The cream gravy is the best I’ve had outside Texas. The«senior specials» are the same size as the regular meal but about $ 2 less. In addition to a selection of entrees, the senior special comes with soup or salad, garlic bread, and steamed vegetables, which is more than I could eat. Plenty of free parking but you might need to swing a U-turn to get in or out of the place. Two things I would change:(1) get rid of the TVs and(2) put napkins on the tables instead of making me ask for more.

I am starting to become a regular here. Its busy, but still almost no waiting time on seats even on Sundays after church. For breakfast I always get either the country fried steak or the california omelet(bacon, cheese, and sliced avocadoes on top). Food consistently good and a generous helping. The waitstaff are always polite and keep the coffee warm. I work nearby and have also at times call and pick up orders, especially when I don’t feel like eating the usual junk fast food. My orders have always been packaged well, and all condiments and utensils included. I’m pretty sure this place will be around for a while. If you’re in the area, and want a breakfast that is a step up from IHOP or Denny’s, try Lemon Grove Café!

This used to be Antique Row and I have been to Antique row a million times in North Park. This place is definitely no Antique Row… no potato cakes. However, they have standard breakfast fare for reasonable prices. We had some omelettes with hash browns and they were fine, but nothing spectacular. They do get points for shredded hash browns vs. home fries.

I’ve visited LGC now for Breakfast and Dinner a few times now and I really love how consistent the food quality and service has been. All of the staff is very friendly and they keep it nice and clean. They have a very extensive menu which consists of Mexican, Greek, and American food items and they serve breakfast all day. Most of their food is very reasonably priced especially for the portion sizes. You do need to be careful if you’re ordering sides though because those can be a bit pricy for example a side of avocado is like $ 2.50+. Oh and if you bring your kids, think twice about ordering a Chocolate milk they’ll get you for almost $ 3. Other that that I’m extremely impressed with this restaurant and will be a long time customer if they remain consistent with the quality and service. Now on to the food… Chicken fried steak breakfast — 4.5÷5 stars — I ordered mine with the gravy on the side. The portions were great, steak, eggs and hash browns were perfectly cooked. Nice thick slices of sourdough bread. -.5 star because the gravy didn’t taste like much of anything. It was bland and not worth the calories so I was very happy I ordered it on the side and enjoyed the majority of my food without it. Veggie Fritatta — 5⁄5 — my husband loved it. Loaded with veggies, cooked well done as he ordered it. There wasn’t much talking doing breakfast except a bunch of «yumm’s…» French toast breakfast — 5⁄5 — this was our friends meal he said, «this French toast is the bomb. Probably some of the best I’ve ever had. I love that they put a cinnamon/sugar rub on it.» Kids Mickey Mouse breakfast — 5⁄5 — our daughter gets this no matter if we go morning or night. HUGE portions. It normally comes with eggs but we substitute for hash browns. Bacon is not the cheap thin bacon. It’s thick, tasty and cooked perfectly. Gyro and Chicken Greek Salad — 5⁄5 — this is by far the best Greek salad I’ve had. The portions of meat they give are huge and the salad and feta are fresh and on point. The dressing is homemade and yummy too. I LOVE the pita bread that comes with it. The don’t just warm it, they make it a bit crispy yet still soft… Delicious!

Went to brunch today with my mom at this little gem for the first time. We were both amazed at their quality of food! Fast service, great food, and a nice home like feel. Menu says they serve breakfast til 2pm but they actually serve it all day yay! Will be back.

Great breakfast spot. We used to come here when it was Antique Row Café! Food was good then! Great service, delicious food and cool ambience. Looks like they now serve Greek dishes as well now since it changed to Lemon Grove Café. Need to check them out for lunch and try other items off the menu. We will definitely be back

When this used to be Antique Row, before it went downhill, my husband and I frequented this place! Once they started to go down in taste and quality, we stopped coming. I’ve been hesitant to come back here now that they have new owners since we had such bad experiences towards the end of Antique Row… I am glad that we decided to give it a try!!! My review lost a star due to the service. It was VERY slow, and we barely got any attention, which is odd because there were only like 3 tables in the whole restaurant with people at them. In the servers defense though, it was about an hour before closing, and I know that when it’s close to time to close(I used to waitress) that you are trying to do as much as you can to get things cleaned up so you can get outta there! But our cups were empty for a while before we got a refill, and it took forever to get our check. I ordered the Cobb salad… nothing special, I know… but it was amazing! To start with… the portion of that salad, is ginormous. The bacon on top was crispy, and there was a grilled chicken on top that was really good. The flavor in it was better than I’ve ever had, and it was chopped and then grilled so that it had these delicious crispy edges, and was still juicy and tender inside. Really good flavor. My husband ordered the Chicken burrito, which was the size of a newborn baby, and slathered in «the best enchilada sauce» according to my husband, along with huge slices of avocado and cheese. My husband said that the beans were the best he has had at any restaurant. The rice of course, was a Greek Style rice since this restaurant is one of those Mexican/Greek combos. He ate about a third of the burrito and was stuffed, so he had a good lunch the next day! We decided to come here for breakfast the next morning because the food was so good. I had french toast, which was huge, and was OK. Tasted like French Toast that I’ve had at other places, wasn’t anything special. My husband had the Gyros Omelet, and was impressed, and loved it! He said the gyro meat had a lot of flavor, and loved the fact that they put a thick slice of feta on top so he could break it up and eat as much as he wanted. We will definitely be back, and next time with friends and family!

My mother and I came here out of curiosity because we wanted to try a different place for breakfast. The lady in the front was warm and welcoming and the waitress was nice, however she was the only one and service was slow. I ordered the seafood omelette, but opted for egg whites. My plate came out incorrect the first time, and the waitress immediately took it back to have it corrected. However, the reason for a low rating, when my food came out again it was correct, but drenched in this sauce and didn’t taste good. I ate it because I was starving. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place because of slow service and the food, at least the plate I ordered.

The crab and shrimp omelet was good. However, their corn beef hash is from a can! So wasn’t that good. Good service and fair prices.

This is the local breakfast place in our neighborhood that has that oldies style with its booths, tables, and décor. The outdoor seating is not my preferred area since the chairs are those cheap, plastic yard type chairs that aren’t that comfortable. But I love the indoor booths because the backs are high enough to make a wall between you and the booth behind you. So you have your privacy from the other tables. The waiters are all attentive and friendly. I even know some of their names now lol and they are happy to see me. In the morning, they’re always coming by to fill your coffee cups. The portion sizes of their entrees are generous and I always take my food home. Try the Spanish omelette if you’re wanting more flavor for breakfast and be sure to order the country potatoes instead of the hashbrowns. The potatoes are seasoned well and are too good to pass up. The french toast and pancakes are also delicious if you’re a sweet tooth for breakfast! The pancakes are fluffy and the french toast is thick, soft and cinnamony. Always check out the breakfast specials too. Seniors get discounts here.

Our go-to place when we want a good, local place for a hearty breakfast. Friendly staff, although it does get quite busy at times and it wold be great to have a second person taking orders. Food is delicious & filling. I don’t think anyone leaves there still hungry.

My wife and I was starving one Sunday morning and we happened to stumble upon this establishment. I have driven past this food factory before and I always wondered what adventures awaited me, however these encounters occurred late in the evening time frame due to me trying to keep my side chick happy. Side note… my wife and side chick do not know each other. As we enter the facility, I noticed they had a claw machine. I remember what my father told me when I was a young lad«The integrity of business can be determined by the integrity of the claw machine.» It makes perfect sense! Sure it’s usually only a buck, but if you can’t even grip the item due to low PSI, the establishment is just taking money from you without giving you a chance. The hostess asks me if I want to be seated and I tell her«Wait. I need to see if you guys are legit.» She gives me this weird look, but I ignore her. I’m on a mission. I am not going to waste my time by providing small talk, when Honor is at stake. I put in my dollar bill. It’s not a crisp bill. I honestly thought the machine would reject it, but it didn’t. I don’t know why I automatically assume everything is going to reject me, but it just happens. Maybe it’s because my dad left me right after he gave me that integrity advice. Like it was LITERALLY the last thing he told me. The machine gives me two tries. Already off to a good start. I see this stuffed teddy bear wearing a Chargers jersey. I’m a Chargers fan… it got me. I hover the claw over the bear and press the joystick. The claw descends. The moment of truth has arrived. THECLAWCLASPEDATTHEBOTTOMOFTHEOBJECT! YES. It didn’t do those whiffs where it «pretends» to reach for it. It clasped right at the bottom as if it was trying to rescue this bear from the bottom of the well. Unfortunately I didn’t get the item, but I knew we could resume with this adventure. I looked at the hostess and said«Please…take us to our seats.» TLDR: The Strawberry french toast was really bomb and the pancakes were also delicious. Coffee was at a PERFECT temperature meaning I didn’t burn off my taste buds upon arrival. Wait staff were really nice. Definitely coming back for the food and the Charger bear.

I loved this little café for several reasons! 1 The gyro plate was delicious and the portions were generous. 2. I had my dog with me, it was a weekday and the patio was closed and the server offered to open it for the three of us. 3. I am gluten free and she offered another choice of a starch. 4. She did not forget us and that can happen when there is one table outside. 5. She brought out extra to go boxes for out leftovers. 6. I loved this little patio, what a treasure to have here in Lemon Grove. I will return upon visits!!!

The great thing about this place is how cheap it is. Otherwise it’s not that great. The place looks pretty cheap and really old. Outdoors there’s a tiny patio to sit with lawn chairs you find from walmart haha. The service was unbearably slow, and the food presentation wasn’t that great. The food tasted okay, nothing special. The pancakes probably tasted the best. But I think they use substitute or fake eggs in their scrambled eggs because they tasted bad and were REALLY yellow. Hmm. Come here if you’re super hungry for breakfast or brunch or lunch and need something cheap. But the service is slow.
