Smart & Final

I come to this Smart and Final location once in a while because they seem to carry something’s in bulk that most super markets don’t carry. Today I was searching for small (2oz size) plastic containers with lids. Not only did they have them but they had several sizes to choose from.
The store is well stocked with most super market items and various other bulk items. You do not need a membership to shop here and the prices are good. The cashier was friendly and helpful when checking out. They also on occasion have better good sales and promos.

You cashier employee Rebeca C. She was extremely rude. We left our items in the red basket and placed them on the counter, which we thought would be easier for her to just pick up and scan them. She looks like she really hates her job or she just did not want to be there. We had two red baskets. One basket had two large cans of Nachos; one can of chili beans and one with meat. She literally lifted the basket and dropped everything on the scanner. I literally thought she was going to break them and sarcastically she asked us how our day was. You might as well just not ask. The other basket had 8 two litter sodas. She also lifted the basket and let them all drop on the sliding counter, not only are those sodas going to explode once there open, but the customer behind me had bread which she nearly dumped them on her. There was a customer behind me that also witness that and just stared at your employee about how rude she was doing things. Everything was fine until we had to pay. We had a very Horrible Experience. I will copy and paste this review throughout all social media. This is extremely UNACCEPTABLE behavior from an employee. Just look at the store’s camera and get to witness what she did! This employee should get written up or fired.

Good assortment of pic-​nic supplies and sodas. Get lots of coffee supplies as well. Like the frozen burritos. Would like to see more people employed.

I love Smart and Final especially this location. It is always clean and the employees here are very friendly!

I needed to pick up a large can of nacho cheese and tortilla chips for a work related event later in the week.
I was very happy to see they had plenty of cheeses to chose from. I picked up a large can for only $ 6.59. (
) I have had this particular brand, Trento Farms, and it is quite good. It is a great deal as well. I also picked up a couple of huge bags of tortilla chips for only $ 3.99. (
) Good chips.
I noticed on my way to the register that they had large bottles of Cholula hot sauce, a sauce I am going to need to come back and buy when I run out. (see pic) It cost $ 6.49.
The service on the way out was friendly and nice. Smart & Final, although not as large as Costco, can be a good alternative, when you only need a few things and if you do not want to deal with the big crowds.

This is not the best Smart & Final you will find. The parking is tight at times. They do not have beer, wine, or spirits! This is unlike every other Smart & Final I have seen.
They need to sweep the lot more often for sure.
It is on the small side and thus stocked not nearly as well as the other San Diego locations.
