Great vibe at this place. I’m not a huge fan of croissants but they have the most fluffier delicious croissant I’ve ever had. And in the coffee shop next door I had the chicken salad sandwich which was yummmmmm. My only knock might be the chocolate croissant didn’t have enough chocolate filling. Otherwise, highly recommended!!!

Best bakery in this area! I would give them a 5 star rating JUST for the fact that they’ve never put a raisin in any of the many bread pudding flavors I’ve tried there! ;) But everything I’ve tried there has been the best thing I’ve ever eaten. To die for. Yum.

What a great little gem to have in KC! I love LOVE the cranberry walnut bread and have often given it as a hostess gift. A few days ago I tried a Cherry Galette, and YUM! My friend has tried the energy bites and the coconut macaroon and says they are both really good.(there are a few really nice gluten-free options!)

I feel badly posting a 3 star review for Ibis Bakery because they have like a perfect score of all 5 star reviews. The staff was VERY friendly and the 2 items we tried at the Black Dog Coffeehouse were both really tasty(Kougin Ammen(sp?) and a piece of coffeecake) but the items I got from the bakery(Blueberry Bostock, Sweet Potato Galette, chocolate chip cookie and shortbread) were not great… some not even good. The bread is all sourdough based and I am not a sourdough fan… Sorry, I really wanted to love this place. I will try it out again in the future but will stick to Fervere for my handmade hearth fired loaves.

Best bakery in Kansas. Croissants take me back to Paris and the bread is fantastic. The only thing this place needs is an outdoor view along the Seine. I will most certainly be back to buy a different loaf of bread each week

This bakery is connected to Black Dog coffee house in Lenexa. The staff is so friendly, the bread and baked goods have impressed friends and clients, and the variety is diverse and fun. Grab some coffee and if you have time, run in early on Saturday when the largest selection of ‘fresh from the oven’ goods are on display. The prices are fantastic compared to a couple other area bakeries in Prairie Village or Overland Park. Try some of the samples they have out!

Love Ibis Bakery! I first had the pleasure of their bread when I enjoyed a delightful piece of toast at next door’s Black Dog Coffeehouse. Then, I was pleasantly surprised to find their booth at the Overland Park Farmer’s Market(Caprese Toast — three words… OH. MY. YUM.) The bread gods smiled on me yet again when Ibis Bakery opened up their store front bakery. And, now I get to treat my family to Ibis’ fabulous brioche, Rosemary-cheese, and any of their other breads on a happily regular basis. From Ibis Bakery’s bread goodness to their warm and friendly employees, there are only good things to experience(and, their bread IS an experience!) «I sing the song of the person whose bread I eat.» ~ French Proverbs

My favorites are the classic country and the sprouted quinoa but you don’t have to take my word for it – they always have samples of today’s breads out for tasting. The contrast of the crispy, flavorful crust and chewy center makes me fall in love with the loaf every time. It’s clear a lot of care has been put into making this bread. At $ 8-$ 9 each they’re not cheap. Thankfully they offer half loaves at half the price, and even those are big enough to feed my family of three and have leftovers. Besides bread you’ll often find small cookies and cakes for sale. I’m partial to their double chocolate chip, a very fine example of a Toll House-style cookie.

I discovered this new amazing bakery the other day heading to the coffee shop next door! The samples were excellent and the service was great! Oh, and the bread was delicious! I bought several loaves and pastries to bring home and needless to say, my kids devoured it!

I recently moved to Lenexa and a friend recommended Black Dog coffee shop which is next door to the new bakeries location. They were selling the bakeries breads before the new location opened, which was TODAY! I Had to have a loaf of bread to go with my chicken noodle soup since the loaf I bought last week to go with the vegetable soup was so outstanding! Luckily today I was fortunate enough to meet the owners and bakers and try samples of their many fine delectable goods. Today I bought the Cranberry Walnut loaf and the Country Hearth. We tried the most amazing sweet potatoe with sage scones! A must for Thanksgiving ! Many people have known about this bakery since they have been at the local farmers markets. If you haven’t tried their goods, you are missing out. Congratulations to Kate and Chris!
