McDonald’s

This is probably the best McDonald’s in the Kansas City area. I don’t frequent Mickey D’s but once in a blue moon, but when I do, I choose this one. The one at 87^th & Pflumm has been blacklisted as they charge extra for sauce and the service is slow/​rude. But this one out close to the highway always has fast/​friendly service. But how can I give McDonald’s 4 stars? Surprisingly, the food has come a long way from the rock bottom they hit about 10 years ago. The breakfast has always been good and going to the all day option for it was (in the words of my grandfather) «About damn time». The chicken selects and the salads are good non-​breakfast choices. And the frappucinos are excellent (better than Sbux even). If you’re in the area, please choose this McDonald’s over the 87^th/​Pflumm location.

What I like:
Contemporary design. They give you a number on a pole and bring your food out. This gives the illusion that it is fresh and does not come out from under a heat lamp.
What I do not like:
Employees do not seem happy to help me. Not rude, but just unhappy to be there. Also, on a muddy/​rainy day, a man was mopping the order placing area during lunch rush. WET FLOOR ALERT! When an employee came out to restock the ketchup, he slipped and fell hard. Not safe at all. Hey, leave the dirt till business drops off, as it is going to be re-​dirtied about every 2.5 minutes in this weather. Also, place a sign on the wet mopped area. I hope the employee is OK!

WORST McDonald’s/Restaurant/fast food place in town. Horribly slow service and when I mean slow I mean it in more ways than one. I’ve had my order messed up more than once here and have had very long wait times for my food. McDonald’s serves as my purely last option in the face of desparation, but I’d rather starve to death than ever come to this one. If you live in this area like I used to and like McDonald’s, I’m sorry. For anyone else — stay the hell away from this dump.

When I stepped up to the counter, there were five people waiting for their orders. My number was called in about five minutes. The service was slow, not especially friendly, and my order was wrong. I also noticed a drive-​thru customer coming in to get her order corrected. There are two drive-​thru lanes, and this location is open ²⁴⁄₇.

It’s 4:45am and I’m headed to work. Nothing is open on a Saturday except for Mickey D’s, so naturally that self-​loathing passes over you and you’re like… ugh, might as well?
A wave of self-​hatred follows. I’m waiting in line and she’s (teller/​order taker/​peon) literally chattin’ up some guy at the other drive thru lane. I wait 5 minutes before she gets to me. Takes me 20 seconds to order.
I’m behind the chatty people, at 4:35 in the freaking AM on Saturday morning. This isn’t the club. You’re not going to pick up a McDonalds employee as a hot date unless you’re homeless. But they’re bantering through the window like this is f^ckin’ eHarmony…
And after another 5 minutes of waiting (#fastfood?) I back up and I’m gone. Not going to be late for this…
It’s really me to blame for stopping at a ghetto McDonalds…

Are at the particular McDonald’s service was better than any other Kelli took my order everything was right she was nice and courteous

This location was rediculous, they had cock roaches on the top of the drink station and when I pointed this out to the manager he demanded that I show him, I had to physically go pick up this bug and bring it to him and then I demanded my money back, after becoming angry at the request they refunded me and I just went to taco bell next door.

April 4^th and still
Has shamrock shakes. Yum. Got fries and the were fresh and tasty. Always good there.

This Mcdonalds location seems to mess up my order every time I come. Why do I come back? It is convenient to another business that I frequent.
On this visit my daughter ordered a mcdouble plain. She received a mcdouble with pickles & to end pieces of bun.
I do like that one lady was telling mebit cheaper to get 1 large fry opposed to 2 small fries; it saves me a cou ple of pennies but every litttle bit helps.
I ordered a dipped cone for first time only because this lcation has it for 1.29 but the lcation bybmy house has it for 1.99. The cone was not bad. I would not suggest you eat it while your driving. I found it to be messy.
So, if you go to the McDonald’s blocation just check your food before you leave.

This McDonalds is really either a hit or a miss. I once ordered a McDouble, regular, and it came out with a crap ton of mayonnaise! There have also been times where fries are only half way filled, or $ 1 menu items come out lukewarm from sitting under the heater for so long.

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.

The drive thru was a mess, I had to repeat my very simple order many times, and then they forgot to put a toy in the happy meal, so I had to go back inside. What a nightmare. And my fries where soggy.

Would you believe, after my comment about the hot playplace for the kiddo’s, the Manager of this McD’s location sent me an email, and said «thanks for writing a review — we were unaware that the playplace was not cooling properly, and we have fixed it. We welcome your business and hope you find the playplace a more suitable temperature.»
WOW! Now I AM impressed. Who does this? What business EVER checks their reviews and actually does something to correct negative findings? So, I had to update my review, and tell you that this particular location truly cares about serving the customers, and it’s clear that concerns are not ignored, but sought out to be corrected.
Now if ALL the McD’s could be this way.
