I stayed there last summer on an insane trip with my new foreign in-laws. We decided to stay at Motel 6 because we needed 3 rooms so we wouldn’t all strangle each other and we planned to be out site seeing anyway. When we walked around the back of the building to get to the rooms, in the court yard a drug bust was happening. They were searching a guy, cuffed him on their police cruiser, while his girlfriend in a wife beater talked to the officers and their kid played in the dirt like it was nothing new. Everyone stood around and watched from the balconies like it was the Shakespeare of our times. But that’s ok, we watched too and my brother kept yelling ‘can I play in the pool by the cops? What if he threw his drugs in the pool?” Welcome to America new in-laws! We ended up staying 3 days. Three LOOONG days. The second night«I am Mike the Manager» came and yelled at us because we were relaxing on the balcony having some Pisco with the in-laws. We needed the picso, there’s no real way to interpret being told in the middle of the mall food court 2 days after the wedding that ‘your 20 year old son(in my case brother) is a devil child and he should’ve never got married to my precious(30+ year old) flower’ any other way. You just have to make up for that with a lot of booze and fake smiles, especially when you’re stuck in adjoining rooms in a Motel 6. Anyway, is was 9pm and we were all talking on the balcony. I personally do not feel we were very loud, but considering the story I told about the Pisco you’re free to disagree with me on that. The point is Mike the Manager, instead of walking upstairs(he seemed out breath) cam out and yelled«I’m Mike the Manager. You need to be quiet. People sleep here.» or something along those lines instead of coming up to speak with us. The words weren’t unprofessional, more his tone was scolding and exasperated. It wasn’t tactful for a first request… especially considering we weren’t getting our door burst down by the cops, and there were many others standing on the balcony at night smoking or talking. Maybe he is just worn down from having to deal with people’s bullshit all the time. I get that. Mike annoyed me, but I don’t really blame him I would hate that job too. Otherwise the rooms were OK. Nothing fancy, but a bed to sleep in and they seemed clean. It was a Motel 6, the area wasn’t scary. It’s pretty close to the mall.

I needed to crash for the night from my drive from New York to California and Motel 6 was the only motel available that day in the area. I wouldn’t call this a motel per se, but rather a hook up and party spot for the night. Right above me there was a party with a bunch of guys drinking, partying and causing a bunch of commotion. Next door to me were some ladies in their lade 30’s early 40’s drunk and smoking cigarettes outside(by my window) until 2am. Needless to say, I didn’t have a great night. To top it off, they charged $ 65 a night! Common! What’s up with that!

This is a typical Motel 6 but with luxury hotel staff. Very cordial, welcoming, and also fulfilling the professional courtesies of a concierge. My only non-positive is that I like think and plush towels which are very non-Motel 6. But all else is like someone ‘leaving the light on for you.’ Thank you Motel 6.
