Rimann Liquors

I’m lucky that this is the closest liquor store to my house b/​c I love it! They have wine and beer tasting every weekend and are very reasonably priced. I’m a member of their wine club and get a discount on all the wine I buy. Sign up for their email list as well b/​c they have some great specials.

Let’s get the positive out of the way. Rimann Liquors in Lenexa has a great selection of wine. Even their spirits selection has quality even if the quantity isn’t there. For your every day purchases there’s a great chance they have what you’re looking for.
The negative for me is because of something a little more niche. For the whiskey enthusiasts out there the fall of each year is a big time. That’s when the majority of special limited releases come out. We’re talking maybe a couple of bottles of rare items if a store is lucky to get them in at all. Rimann happens to get a lot of this stuff in and most stores around don’t. The bone I have to pick is that most stores that get these bottles have a lottery system or a «list» to get on. Some people wait on lists for years to give you an idea on the rarity. Rimann does no such thing. When these bottles come in the general public doesn’t have the opportunity to purchase them at all. No lottery, no list, no first come/​first served. They don’t make it to the shelf because the store has already called dibs on passing them out to friends/​family.
That one poor way of doing business has turned me away to other local stores. If I have to wait years for something that’s completely fine by me. At least I’ll have a shot eventually. That doesn’t exist at Rimann Liquors.

Love this liquor store. They have wine case sales several times a year so we can stock up and they have a beer club you can join.
They have also started wine and beer tastings every so often. They are reasonably priced and very friendly. We needed a certain type of wine for a recipe we were making and the staff was able to help me find it. They have great suggestions and they also have a 2^nd side to the store.
The other side which is where I spend most of my time is the cigar shop. Good selection and also reasonably priced.

On the Kansas side of the state line this is the place to go for wine. They have a good selection and several times a year they have a 17% case discount. The great thing about the case discount is they let you mix and match the case.
I go to at least one of the 17% discounts a year and stock up on wine. We will run in occassionaly to get spirits or beer, but mainly wine.
They have a nice facebook page that they post recipes, sales, suggestions and fun facts if you want to check it out.
The staff is friendly and knowledgable and they carry the cases to your car for you if they are to heavy. They also have a beer and wine club you can join for free and earn discounts.
The selections range from some great Italian Persecos, Californian, French, amazing Spanish tempranillos, local Ks and Mo, some Australians and many others.
Also look for their coupons, they come in the ValuPaks and are anywhere from 10−15% on spirits and wine but not beer. Also they have a little store next door that sells mixes and cigars.
If you are in Lenexa stop in and give them a try.

This is a very nice liquor and wine store in Lenexa, in a shopping center on the SW corner of 87^th and Lackmann. Service is friendly and helpful. The liquor selection isn’t huge, but there’s a pretty extensive selection of wines, many of them interesting or unusual. There’s a rack with a number of intriguing wines priced at 3 for $ 10 ea., mix or match. There was a good range of Kansas Somerset Ridge wines. All in all, Rimann’s is very much worth checking out. I’ll be back to stock up on some stuff! Anything they don’t have, you’re likely to find at Gomer’s of Kansas, a short way east on 87^th St.
