County of Los Angeles Public Library – Lennox Library

Upon entering the library, I noticed the library was clean, quiet and in good repair. However, having to interact with the actual employees behind the information desk, ruined my experience there. The women behind the information desk were rude, short tempered and acted very irritated when I approached them with a question.

First time since they remodeled. Just happened to be in the area. Nice job with the remodeling. The staff? Needs to be revamped. Long faces and attitudes. My daughter just so happened to find a book that she liked at this location. We usually go to the Lawndale branch. I explained to the philipino lady at the front desk, it was an unexpected visit, so we don’t have our library card. Can you look it up. Not an issue at Lawndale. Apparently, here it is, she felt the need with an attitude, to tell me twice, this can only be done once and next time I won’t be able to. I felt as if I got a scolding in front of my daughters. My daughter noticed she made a note of the lookup in the computer. If people here think it’s ok to have an attitude it’s not. Get another job if you are so miserable. Just because it’s a ghetto area doesn’t mean you should be nasty to people. Not sure about coming to this location again.

I went to this library on their fist day when they opened and it was new and cozy, but small. I guess it matches the size of the community it serves. There was good selections of movies, but not that many to check out. I was guessing maybe because it was a busy first day that they ran out of movies very quickly.

Very nice & cozy… Staff a little self absorbed… computers are almost always available…

The girl who works in the front desk was rude and not helpful. The librarian was nice though.
