No bar. Lost ABC license. Not much of a tavern without a bar. Guess they are still having issues.

Went there 3 times while on vacation, food was average and large servings. Last visit I ordered a hamburger with chili that looked like they just through some ground beef on top of the burger, my dining companions ordered off the daily special menu. They brought my food first and then ½ hour after I had finished my friends finally got their meal. Comments I made to the GM and bartender went unnoticed even though the GM was sitting two seat down eating his dinner!(we ate at the bar). Also you can’t see the TV’s from the bar without turning around because the glass storage above the bar blocks the view of the TV’s straight ahead, so watching sports from the bar isn’t ideal.

Where do I start? I think this is the first and last restaurant endeavor by the owner. Wait staff was poorly trained and bartender was not helpful or friendly. We started by asking for a drink menu only to find there is none. We were asked what kind of wine we liked and she would check. Our booth was situated next to the bar and in front of the kitchen entrance. Our waitress could only say they carried wine and had a full bar. We watched as our waitress asked the bartender if they had Moscato. She said yes. Our waitress inquired about the price, she was met with an «I don’t know, look it up» quip. As if she actually had customers at the bar. We ordered oysters as it was oyster night even though $ 18 for a dozen doesn’t appear to be «special». We also ordered the 12oz ribeye which comes with a salad. We waited and waited and finally our oysters came along. And about the time I started on my second oyster our steak shows up!!! When my wife asked about our salad we got the deer in the headlights look. Two redeeming factors is that the ribeye was cooked and seasoned nicely. And the entertainment was excellent. Once our bill came, we attempted to pay and leave ASAP. Our waitress seemed to take forever to return. Here is the kicker; because we sat near the kitchen opening we could hear other waitresses mocking and degrading people they were serving. They all seemed to be enjoying the experience. We will not be back and couldn’t recommend Mulligans to anyone.

Fun place with a wide variety of foods. Anything from sandwiches to pasta. Been 3 times and have been pleased each time. I do wish they would have a full menu Sunday night but other than that seems great. Lots of new TVs for watching sports. Haven’t tried all the craft beers but they seem to have a good selection.

There are still kinks being worked out. We came on a Thursday, oyster night, and no one mentioned that oysters were on special(there was a sandwich board outside that had it). We ordered two things: shrimp and grits, which were seriously good, and a half rack of ribs, which were just a few minutes short of cremains. The server took the ribs back and brought more, which were cooked well enough, but they seemed roasted, not smoked(judging by the taste), plus they were completely doused in the Mulligan’s own barbecue sauce, which has a vinegary tang but is too ketchup-tasting. Less sauce, more smoke is needed. A side of «onion sticks» were not stick-like but were extremely tasty. A friend who brought his family thought the service was quite slow, but much of the wait staff seems fairly inexperienced, so that may also extend to the kitchen and might be expected to improve. The full dinner menu(as opposed to the«late night» menu that you get on Sundays at mid-afternoon, after the lunch menu of nothing but«family-style» portions ends) has many interesting options. If even a third are as good as the shrimp and grits, it will be worthwhile. On the whole, this place deserves more time to find its legs.

Not impressed. Whenever I first saw that Lenoir was getting another gastropub I was excited to try it. The place has so much potential for space and uniqueness but whenever I walked in I was so unimpressed. It was bland. Not a pub at all. Place has no character at all. I ordered wings(because they barely have a menu, but I’ll give them a break since its only two weeks old) and some pub chips. Spare your tastebuds and don’t waste your time getting wings. One of the positives of this establishment is that they have a wide selection of local craft beers as well as other favorites available on tap. I was happy to see this. Will update my review, if and only if I chose to go back.
