awful. the door barely locked, as i could see where it had been pried open in the past. It was dog friendly, but the smell of disgusting wasn’t caused by pets. We decided to leave after one of the tenants was swearing about the room next to his being rented out. we had that room. He looked like some form of fucked up and weird. Even the office was gross. Glad we never unpacked our stuff.

You get what you pay for… and this hotel’s tag line says it all«lowest price in Lenox». While this is definitely a last resort — our experience wasn’t all bad. The amenities — well there really were none. The breakfast — we didn’t want to chance it. We were able to bring our rather large dog(96lbs) with us — which was a plus. The proximity to both Pittsfield and Lenox proper were great(5 minutes in either direction). The room-was old. There was a musty funk about it. Being in housing, I checked for any signs of bedbugs prior to bringing my things in, and found none. The bathroom was almost frightening, had a noticeable and on-going mold problem and the supports under the tub seemed shaky at best. The television was old. But, the AC ran strong and COLD, and leaving the ventilation fan on in the bathroom helped with the musty smell. We were only sleeping here, and paying about $ 120 a night. I wouldn’t repeat the experience, given a choice, but everything else was booked for the weekend and it was a last minute trip.
