Went here on a beautiful Saturday morning. We started at the visitor center and hiked up to the monument and back, taking the Trail of the Ledges up and the Overbrook to Bluebird trails down. The hike was gorgeous — though at times difficult to follow (fall leaves made the trail difficult at times and the signs could be better) and we got lost once, but found our way back to the trail. Nice view from the monument. The Trail of the Ledges has a pretty decent steep climb at one point making us quite sweaty (more so than anything at Mount Greylock). Overall, gorgeous park and great hiking.

Beautifully maintained trails to suit all ages and fitness levels. We did the 2 hour round trip hike up to the top of Lenox Mountain which was not too hard (a few steeps parts). Nice views at the top.

What a wonderful, peaceful experience this was for me and a friend.
We walked several of the easy trails enjoying the beautiful nature around us. The trails are so well maintained and marked. We were fortunate enough to spend several minutes watching a beaver bask in the sun, before swimming away.
There were children’s camps going on while we we’re there. The counselors and the children were so polite and eager to share with us what they were experiencing out in the wilderness.
I cannot wait to take a day trip back and try some of the other trails.
It must be absolutely beautiful in the fall time.

Pleasant Valley is a great nature center for the entire family. When our boys were very little we took them around «pikes pond» for hikes. Now that they are a little older they love the challenge of the «trail of ledges.» The educational programs are terrific. We have done canoe trips with them, beaver walks, and a bat talk. Our boys have done the day camp and they loved it. Our whole family agrees: this is one of our favorite places on earth!

This is a great place to check out some easy nature trails and get close to wildlife.
They offer educational programs throughout the year and have several miles of well maintained trails.
There is a pond that supports beaver and water fowl. It’s a short hike from the main road to get the feeling you are deep in the woods.
There is a hall that can be rented for parties and can accommodate up to 90 people.
This is a great place to visit to connect with the natural world. Be sure to check in at the office. There is a nominal fee to use the trails. It’s free for Massachusetts Audubon Society members.
See the white board outside the office to find out what kinds of critters have been spotted recently.
Their website is quite helpful and updated frequently to announce programs and activities at the sanctuary.
Excellent for kids.
