I’ve been to better places for breakfast in the area. The price was pretty standard, $ 7.50 for an omlet. I got the Italian bread toast. Love the idea but when it was delivered I realized they hid the burnt pieces on the bottom. We ordered the hash which the waitress didn’t write on the order so it was delivered hot but out of the can after we finished our meal. It’s a Townie place, where everybody knew there name. The food is average, but the service is spectacular. The staff are so nice! I love all of the Leominster sports paraphernalia decorating the diner.

Nice little hometown diner and I thought the food and service was great. Our waitress kept filling our coffee I was worried she was going to waste it! Granted it was simple diner food, but it was good, better than some other places I’ve been in town.

I stopped at Mario’s Homefield Diner for a late Saturday breakfast very recently. The name for this cozy diner is very fitting since the walls are decorated with plenty of hometown sports pictures from the Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics to Leominster High School sports, mostly football. The place has booth seating, table seating, and stool counter seating with an open kitchen/grill. Mass Lottery/Keno and scratch tickets available here. Mario’s Homefield Diner serves up breakfast and lunch(weekdays only) offering the typical American diner fare including egg dishes, pancakes, French toast, waffles, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, and sides Daily specials for breakfast and lunch(meatloaf, American chop suey, spaghetti & meatballs, fried seafood) and a kids menu are offered. On weekdays(5AM-9:30AM), 2 eggs, home fries, toast, and coffee is $ 3.60. Anyways, I ordered a simple breakfast($ 4.70 plus tax) of 2 Egg Beaters, home fries, and dry wheat toast, which I watched cooked to order on the grill. The eggs were pretty decent, soft inside and clumpy outside. The home fries were pretty good, which were grilled and browned fresh cut seasoned potatoes. I got an ice water instead of coffee since I already stopped at Dunkins earlier. The service however felt a bit rushed since I was the last customer still eating. The staff began shutting things down around 12:35PM, well before the 1PM closing time, and put up the closed sign. It was definitely a very nice sunny day outside, which may explain the rush to shut down. HOURS: Mon-Fri: 5AM-2PM; Sat: 6AM-1PM; Sun: 7AM12PM
