Excellent burgers and fries! Love the charming rustic atmosphere with the pellet stove burning on a cold night. Service is excellent and always friendly. Love Blue Moon on tap and Buffalo cheese fries.

My friend and I ordered the pizza, I think this was the best pizza I ever had, fresh ingredients, very flavorful! But it took a while to place the order, service was slow. Pizza was expensive… $ 28.00 for 1 med pizza and 1 soda 1 glass of terrible wine…

I’d rather pen a review than ask for the $ 48.00 I paid for blatent disregard for food preparation I had ordered to go. Yea, two beet salads, one bowl of chili, one california burger. $ 48 bucks whatever. I’m 3 minutes from this joint round trip. Get the food back and what is suppose to be warm is cold. Put the fries in the oven, and heat the burger in the microwave. I had ordered med. well, comes med. rare, so I now put it in a pan to cook the friggin burger. Get about 1⁄3 thru the scrumptus ca. burger and come upon a fiber in my mouth which is pulling on the burger in my hand, turns out to be hair. Beet salad they says it comes with goat cheese, so looking around, no cheese to be seen until I get thru most of the salad where I find a 2 – 3 oz. chunk of cheese. Bottom line go somewhere else, we will from now on.

Tasted like leftovers… I went to Jack’s for dinner last evening after being told how awesome it is. The ribs were average tasting and lukewarm. They are served with jalapeño Mac and Cheese which was really spicy, but it was cold like it had been in the ramekin in the refrigerator and not reheated long enough.(Emphasis on reheated mac and cheese) The cheese sauce was really thin and runny. Maybe it’s me, but I think mac and cheese sauce should be on the thick and cheesy side. The beans were lukewarm, but beans can be eaten at any temp. The cornbread was just sad. It was also refrigerator cold — who serves cold cornbread? Shouldn’t cornbread be warm and served fresh out of the oven with butter? It was baked in a muffin tin, which is fine, but it was baked to a very dark brown which made it extremely dry, and again… it just came out of the fridge. And, no butter was on the table. No butter? My husband ordered a bowl of enchilada soup, which arrived 5 minutes after the rest of the entrees were served. One of our party had to go ask the kitchen to bring it(it had obviously been forgotten). When it arrived, it was also cold. Shouldn’t soup be ladled out of a tureen that’s kept on warm? Perhaps the cold food was a result of not enough waiters and waitresses. There was one man who was working very hard trying to keep up, and a woman who seemed to be over-stressed and in over her head. We were sitting right next to the kitchen, and I kept hearing them call for a server, but the servers were trying to keep up with the dining room needs. That’s why they get 2 stars instead of 1. But this part is inexcusable. The dinner tasted like leftovers. I think they cooked it, put it in the fridge, and then pulled it out to reheat it, but didn’t heat it long enough. The 40 minute wait from the time we ordered until the time it was served? Maybe it was sitting and waiting to be served too long, but shouldn’t it have been under a warmer? Refrigerator temp food suggests it was not prepared immediately before it was served. That’s what«leftovers» are. Leftovers…

I have been to this location 3 times now. The first time my boyfriend and I came for dinner– everything was so amazing that we came for for breakfast. I was not impressed this time around and was concerned when the waitress didn’t know what came with the meal had to come back at least twice to the table to correct her previous answers. Now, that’s understandable and I didn’t not think too much on it. This last time was a complete waste. We got seated and served our drinks fast enough but that’s where the great service ended. We waited long enough for our food that we actually started looking to our phones for time stamped confirmation and figured we had been waiting roughly 45 minutes. When the food finally did come out, everything — the meat, Mac n cheese, baked beans, and corn bread– were all COLD. I ordered the pot pie which was described on the menu as having a side salad and mashed potatoes. The salad came out way after the food did and the waiter argued with me when I told him I was missing mashed potatoes. I told him to check the menu and eventually got them. The real shocker in this whole thing was my dads soup. Not only did it come out 10 minutes after everyone else’s food, but it was also(you guessed it) cold. I’m confused as to how they thought this was acceptable service or even food. Needless to say we left hungry, disappointed, and I will probably never return to this restaurant.

Tonight we returned for our third dinner here and brought her parents along — we were all looking forward to the great food I had been raving about. No wait for seating, drinks arrived quickly, and that’s where the positive ends. A long wait for food to arrive was annoying but understandable as the place was quickly filling up. The food being cold when it got to us was unacceptable. The cornbread that was previously some of the best I had ever had was now prepared in a muffin pan, dry and overcooked with a terrible secondary flavor that rendered it inedible(also cold). One of our entrée’s, one side, and a salad that should have come out before the entrée did not arrive with the other meals. We waited for quite some time after the waiter told us it was on the way before I walked back to the kitchen and asked for it myself. The remainder of our food showed up a minute later, somehow the enchilada soup that just arrived was also well below serving temperature. I ate two of the ribs off my plate which were decent and sent the rest back when the owner came to check on us — asking for it to be removed from the bill, which it was. We remained polite through all of this and were surprised when we finished our meal with little to no further service, not touching the majority of our food or the salad that showed up 40 minutes too late. Paid our bill and left hungry and disappointed.

I was really looking forward to this new place to try out, the interior was nice and the staff was as well but upon my visit with my boyfriend and exchange student, there was a little bug in my exchange students salad, which wasn’t the killer but it was a little gross. I had a cheeseburger and fries, but later on that evening I had gotten really sick with food poisoning. I would not recommend going there again. :/save your money and time and try else where.

I really liked this place. It’s super cute and charming. And I’m a huge fan of Leona Valley. I tried the cheeseburger, hubby got the chili burger and the kiddo got the grilled cheese. My burger was a good size, was very flavorful and the fries were SO good! My husband wasn’t crazy about there being beans in his chili burger. It is a pretty weird combination. I tried his chili by dipping my fries in it(they gave him an extra side of it too) and it was tasty! The server was sweet and attentive. Prices were kind of on the high side. It was about $ 45 with a tip. I’d definitely come here again though. It’s so pretty here, inside and out!

We’ve been here several times and have tried different items. My husband had the Rootbeer glazed bbq ribs with jalapeño mac n cheese and bbq baked beans. It was delicious! We’ve also had the chicken pot pie which is also delicious.

Very happy with the food and service. Sure a bit pricey but, what isn’t that’s good these days? A great addition to the rural area, so glad you opened. I had the meatloaf w/o bbq sauce. Great taste, I went back again and plan to be a regular customer! Thank you for a great place to get«home cooked meal»

Have been here a few times and the food is amazing the prices are great for the quality of the food. The burgers and fries are top notch. I don’t usually order burgers but had to give it a try after hearing how good they are. It was great the fries were really really good. Give it a try people. I’m pretty sure you’ll love it.

Taco Tuesday was amazing! I love the food and atmosphere of Jack’s Place! The employees are friendly and inviting and it feels like home. The restaurant was very clean. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some good food in a scenic location! The prices were very reasonable for what we ordered and my kids even loved it here.

Simply awful. Sorry guys I was really hoping for a good comeback and while the décor and staff are better the food and prices aren’t. For what is being charged you don’t get a lot and half the time its not cooked properly especially the burgers and fries, how hard is that to get right? This has been my last attempt at this place, won’t be returning which is sad because its right around the corner.

Major upgrade from previous restaurants in this location. The food is pricey. Nicely decorated with barn wood on the walls that have been branded by locals. Country music playing in the background. Friendly and polite service. Taco Tuesday is very popular. $ 2 Tacos!

My girlfriend Melissa and I are addicted to their amazing BBQ pizza & divine blue cheese dressing, made in house by Steven. We usually pick it up, but dining in is always nice. Very good service and atmosphere. Jack’s Place is a Leona Valley gem.

The staff was very friendly and the food was great. The food has a very premium feel but is cheaper than comparable burger places. I recommend the Jessica Omelette. It is definitely worth the extra dollar compared to the other omelettes.

Little pricey. $ 25 for a large thin crust NY style pizza that didn’t taste very good at all. Haven’t tried anything else but if I’m going to buy a burger for $ 12 it better be great. Umami Burgers are $ 12 and they are killer and located in studio city. They should reconsider their menu prices of they want to make it in a little town like Leona Valley.
