I paid Steve of Onsite Small Engine Repair $ 400 for routine maintenance as well as new blades and spindles on a lawn tractor. On the third outing after he worked on my tractor, a blade came loose and jammed under the deck with the edge jutting out and caused the machine to shut down. After several phone calls and texts to Steve explaining the situation, I have yet to reach him. His website has a 90 day guarantee on their work which apparently he does not honor. I also opted for an emailed receipt which does not give the break down of charges. After spending $ 400, I’ve got a lawn tractor that I cannot use as well as a very sharp blade jammed and exposed and a repair shop that does not seem to care. An expensive and dangerous lesson learned. I am now in the process of filing a claim in small claims court and reporting this company to the BBB.

My Kubota needed service and I had no way of transporting it so I looked online for a company that would come out to do the repairs. The service man came out at the appointed time and date and assessed the problems and gave me an estimate. He told me that on small tractors they like to work on them in their shop. They would pick it up for a reasonable fee, fix it and return it for the same fee. All good so far. Then, when I called the owner to schedule the pick up I was given a day. He called on the scheduled day and postpone till the next day. The next he called and re-scheduled for two days later. When he got here he was late. I was told the tractor would be ready by Friday(picked up on Monday) and should be delivered either Friday or Saturday. When I called on Friday for a delivery time Steve told me it was not done yet and he needed a couple of days. Three days later still no tractor. Many calls, more excuses. Finally, he said it would be delivered on Friday, Monday the latest. I called three times on Monday, no tractor, no return calls. On Tuesday, I drove 55 minutes to his«shop» and surprised Steve. He said it still needed to be tested and would be delivered the next day. It was delivered at designated time. When I asked where the old replaced parts were he said at his shop and if I wanted he would e-mail a picture of them. I explained it was the law to provide them he said he didn’t know. He then told me they did additional work totaling about $ 95.00. I was never called for approval. I took his word that the work was necessary and done so I paid him. The tractor runs well and Evan really knew his work but Steve has a long way to go. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

This is the way service should be done. They called ahead and said when they would be to my home … And arrived on time. The repair guy Evan was very professional and allowed me watch him and ask all the questions I wanted. He discovered issues the previous local repair company failed to find or fix and I now have a lawn tractor running as it should. Their services were priced more than fairly and would not hesitate to recommend them.
