Hollywood Nails

They did not have us on the books even though we called ahead and made an appointment. They were way understaffed and our bridal party had to wait quite a while for service. I was not mad about the slow service thinking we would get high quality service still but I have to say out of all of the mani/​pedis I’ve gotten, I’ve never had nail polish chip and crack so quickly. Luckily they held up for my wedding the next day, but less than 48 hours after the wedding the nail polish was coming off all of our finger nails and toenails chipping. Unfortunately, I was not happy with our experience there.

I went to this nail salon because it had some good reviews. Unfortunately my experience was NOT good! I walked in and signed in and several employees looked at me and no one spoke to me. After about 10 mins (I was ready to leave) someone escorts me to the back assuming I want a wax. I said no I want a manicure and pedicure. So they stuck me at a pedi bowl for about 5 minutes w no water. Then someone came over put boiling hot water in. She turned it down now the water was freezing. I went to get up and the lady said where you going. I said to pick a color. (no one offered) I waited in cold water for over an hour (they kept telling me someone would be right with me) FINALLY someone came. When I told her I wanted a basic mani and pedi the lady said «a basic «and was rude that I wasn’t getting the more expensive one. Then at the end I told her again I needed a mani she said oh a manicure too with a sigh and an eye roll! Anyhow I tipped over 20% because she did a good job despite the attitude and she acted as if the tip was too low! I had clear on my fingernails and the next day it all peeled off. The pedi is a week old and already starting to chip off. Needless to say I will not be back!

I don’t do reviews as often as I should, but felt the need to rave about the service. They have the same, if not better quality than the high end salons in the larger metropolitan areas. I haven’t had a true manicure in ages … Not for lack of trying, but for the lack of expertise I’ve come across at salons and spas in my extensive travels. Ms. Kim, who I believe is the owner, and had been recommended by numerous local clients. She is meticulous and pays attention to her clients requests and concerns. I’m surprised I’m only the second review being posted after all of the referrals I received. She’s worth the drive;)

Good service, nice employees. And they offer a good deal.
