The food is delicious, BUT, the delivery times are excessively slow. Each time we have ordered it has taken longer and longer to get our food. The store is less than 5 minutes from my home. Unacceptable. As I wrote the first part of this review I was already waiting 1 hr min for a delivery. I had called after an hour and was told they were on the way. I called back after another 15 minutes and was told that the person I previously spoke to had been mistaken, it was a different delivery — my food had just been finished and would be delivered when the driver returned … I cancelled.

It pains me to type this, I loved going to Grubbs it was great to have a different place to get food in town. Today the straw broke the camel’s back… Good food to a point but they CONSTANTLY get orders wrong, seem to forget you ordered at all(while you are standing there), go to pick up an order(whether called in or online) and they have no record of it as well as waiting for food for an hour and a half. If you call them up to ask where your order is they didn’t even make it yet. I have ordered online and they lost my order 4X and that is not counting today(I even paid for it online). When I went in today I was in a rush that is why I ordered 30mins prior to coming in and when Ian, the owner, said he would make it now I had to get to work so I declined and he was right out rude. Karen and George there are great but Ian is racist and really does not care about the customer. I suggest going somewhere else…

This is a restaurant that definitely has the best hours in the small town of Leonia. And in a place so full of Asian cuisine, having a burger joint is very different and causes all American burger enthusiasts who want a quick bite to eat to come here. I came here after hearing mixed reviews about it, including long waits/wrong orders but also great burgers and thought I’d give it a shot. I ordered the veggie burger and was happy with the quick 10min service and to see that my order was followed perfectly. Their buns are huge and delicious and their onions are the sweet and thinly sliced ones that go well with burgers(not the big crunchy ones that bring too much oniony flavor). But the actual veggie burger was kinda thin compared to the bun. But on the bright side it was pretty darn tasty

Had a veggie burger a while back. I remember it being delicious. Especially the bread it came on! Just moved back to the area and my über driver recommended it to me again. Will definitely be visiting again soon

Ive ordered delivery from three times. The first time everything was great. I got 3 bacon, egg and cheese sanwiches with extra bacon and an order of fries. Nothing to blow your socks, but we were so excited on our lazy Sunday. The second time I ordered burgers and they were ok. Nothing amazing but in a pinch they did ok. The third and final time I order a bacon egg and cheese(scrambled) for myself and some cold cut sandwiches for my kids. My sandwich was fine up until i got 3 bites in and my mouth was filled with uncooked eggs. I was immediately put off, as im pregnant and can’t take any chances. Probably wont jump at the chance to order from here for delivery, but I wouldn’t mind stopping by for a sandwich on my lunch or something

I have tried Grubbs three times and not once was it good, so I waited for a few months to order again. The three previous times the burgers were overcooked(ordered medium rare and came well done). The hamburgers and hot dogs were so salty that I didn’t even finish them. I ordered well done fires every time and the were always under cooked. All the items never came out at the same time so only some items were hot. I just ordered online and was supposed to get a 25% discount for my first order. I was waiting for my food for about 45 minutes until I decided to call and see what went wrong. I called and they said they did not get my order, despite the owner clarifying that I did everything correctly. When I spoke to the owner with the accent I specifically asked him will I still get the discount and he said everything will be great and I will have someone take your order and we’ll take care of it right away. Now I have to order again over the phone, and when I get to the end I said the 25% is taken off correct and the girl taking my order put me on with the owner again and he told me that was for the internet only. Do the internet orders only get lost when the coupon code is entered? He should have told me to place the order online again if he was not going to honor it. I then told the owner that I was going to share my experience in a review and he told me if I did he would«find me.» Terrible way to do business. Never Again.

Ordered three times for delivery so far! The delivery is pretty quick, has been around 30 minutes every time. The food is great too! Best sweet potato fries I’ve had in a while!

I ordered online, and when I arrived, food was ready to go! Then my son could not wait and had half of his milkshake, sweet potato fries and grill cheese right there, while I was chatting with the friendly staff. Everything was great, crispy fries, awesome milkshake and sandwich, and my son is a pretty picky eater!!! Later at home, my burguer was just cooked to perfection, lettuce fresh and crunchy, all flavors blended in harmony in this juicy patty. Thumbs up ! I wish they open one closer to me!

Do I miss manor… A fail of epic proportions. I ordered online and they still managed to mess it up. First, I ordered at 11:15, they didn’t call until 11:30 to say they didn’t have the right kind of bagel, and would have the simple order ready in 20 minutes… Fine. Then, they managed to make a bacon, egg and cheese, without the bacon… Brilliant. The hot dog for my daughter. Over cooked. The cheese fries, covered in nacho cheese sauce… It’s not like they don’t have cheese … The tater tots are good… So they didn’t screw those up. I called for a refund. They didn’t want to do it. I was offered a replacement sandwich, that I could come and pick up myself… In the rain. But not on a bagel, bc they ran out. I refused. They would deliver. I again asked for a refund. They refused. I asked for a manger. I was offered a refund. Edit: owner called and I was given a refund for the order. That is much appreciated. Will try again at some point and update this review.

Their foods always great but it takes a while. Not a cheap fast food restaurant. I would go there more often if it was tad bit cheaper.

Ordered here twice — the fries are the seasoned kind, tasted frozen. They have that«orange» tint which I really disliked. I like my fries relatively thin and unseasoned. Just some salt is perfect, not overly seasoned«orange» fries. Fries are so important for burger restaurants. I had to review them first. I did not order the fries my second delivery. If you ever get frozen waffle fries, the seasoning on those is close to these. Tater tots were fine, but too greasy. Burger was good. I order bacon cheeseburgers. Unlike other delivery places in my area there wasn’t a horrible smell to the meat. The meat quality was decent and patties about ¾″ thick. Also they stack your burger with all the important condiments. Pickles, tomato, onion, lettuce, just the way I like my burger. The best part of this is their brioche bun. Bread was soft and buttery. The second time I got my burger delivered it was cold and meat was very tough. They will not consider cooking your meat medium even though you ask for it. Expect a well done burger. Delivery guy seemed to be lagging the second time, took too long and my food was cold, whereas first time my food was warm. Fish sandwich was another thing I ordered. It is basically a hamburger with fried fish. Big mistake. It came on a baguette-like roll with old lettuce and swampy tomatoes. The fish filet, like the tater tots, were dried and double fried. The actual filet was tiny, covered half the bread. And why was this sandwich on a roll baguette anyway? It should have been on a soft brioche roll. It is sad to note that mcdonalds has a better tasting fish filet burger. I won’t order here again due to the sub par fries and inconsistent delivery service. I have to be honest and say their burgers ARE above average, but everything else is disappointing.

Good food. Usually okay delivery speed. But on my last order, it took about 1.5 hours. When I called after an hour, they said they hadn’t started making it yet since they had gotten so many orders. Typically, when a place is backed up and doesn’t have the delivery staff to handle it, they tell the person that there’s a significant delay. They didn’t do that. Hence, 2 stars.

Ordered once. Never again. At first they called to let me know it would be 5 – 10 minutes late. I thought this was fine, good customer service, until 45 minutes goes by from the time they told me. I called up I was put on hold and told five more minutes, no apology, no sort of compensation. Food was over an hour late, cold and sub par.

Runny eggs and egg shells in my breakfast omelette:/ My dogs can make better breakfast than this place. My first time ordering food here and very disappointing. Nope, won’t be back.

One of the few places in the area that delivers and one of the even fewer places that takes online orders. The food is good. The burgers are a nice size and are filling I tried the Hawaiian burger; tasty but the sweet relish seems to overpower the the rest of the ingredients recommend they dial it down or ask them hold it. Prices for the burgers range from $ 6-$ 8 and do not include sides. The chicken tenders are good and seasoned. One thing that I found lacking are the fries(they call them chips) the two times I’ve ordered they’ve come dark not burnt, but overcooked I think. Overall the food is good. But there’s room for improvement. PS: they need a kids menu.

I’m pretty much in trouble with how close this place is to me. Decided to try it this week and I have been back twice already. Clean, casual place that serves no frills, fresh, good food. Burger was cooked medium and topped with cheese, lettuce, onions, tomato and jalapenos for $ 6.75. This is a British shop so order the crispy chips if you want fries. My only problem with Grubbs is that they don’t have any tables. I like to eat my burger and fries right away before they get cold and soggy.

Terrible and slow service. We were excited to find a breakfast place by us but will def not come back here again. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches to go. After waiting 20 min for these two sandwiches to be made and I watched him give away our breakfast to someone who came in after me. I asked him where my sandwiches were but he said they’re coming right up. As they were wrapping the sandwiches, I noticed they were not my order and told him. When he realized he had given away my order, he said whatever and continued to put the wrong order in a paper bag for me. Sorry it’s not ok. and giving me my money back was the least you could do.

The Manor has closed. New owner has renovated and it is now called Grubbs, a take away restaurant. The owner a UK expat is bringing his experience with English take out to Leonia. But this isn’t British take away. Right now he opens at 6am and serves the usual breakfast egg sandwiches, and coffee. Then burgers and fries till 11PM. I stopped in for a Taylor ham & cheese and coffee for breakfast. It wasn’t «Taylor» ham. He called it spiced ham. It was tasty. Served on a nice bun. Coffee was the Lawless brand, which I like. It just seemed to take to long to get served. I’ll chalk it up too start up learning curve. Total charge about $ 5. I just had a burger and fries. I have to be honest, I was disappointed. Again service was slow. Not awful, just a bit longer than I expected for a burger. That’s all you have on the menu. You should be able to bang this stuff out. Now the quality; frozen burger and frozen fries. That is not expectable today. And not at the price $ 8. 6oz burger, ketchup, pickle, raw onion and small fry. No cheese. Within a short drive I have several franchise options. If this place is to survive it better step up.
