Thought it might be time to give this place another try after not going for many years after finding a dead fly in the salad. This time for breakfast. The meat lovers omlette was overcooked, thin pieces of browned eggs and chopped up meats with not much flavor. The potatoes were a sheet of what looked like were stuck to the bottom of the grill. I do like crispy potatoes but normally they are seperate pieces. The pancakes were ok but the butter that came out with them had bits of something in it. toast, potato,?? Service was good, but won’t be back. Was hoping for a better experience.

Amazing fresh burger! The server was really nice and personable! I would give these guys a 5 star but my girl friend didn’t enjoy her salad that much way to much dressing. So if you get a salad ask for the dressing on the side!

First time at this restaurant. Not familiar with this area, wanted a quick lunch and spotted this diner. Parking lot was full which was a good sign. Just about every table was full when we got inside. I had two thoughts… it must be good for lunch but I bet service was going to be slow based on the amount of guests. To my surprise, service was quick and still timely. The menu was huge… often wonder how they can have sooo many choices on a menu and still make good food. All kinds of typical diner comfort foods too. I picked a turkey Ruben. It came with fries and coleslaw. It came open faced.(I actually prefer it closed but forgot to ask). It was a generous potion. It seemed to be fresh carved… not slimy deli turkey. It was delicious. So much food… I took ¾ of my sandwich home and half my fries also. Not sure how anyone could finish. Coffee was excellent. A pot is brought to the table and it was good coffee and hot the way I like. I am usually a tough critic, but 5 stars is appropriate for a restaurant in this category.

In cases like this I wish I could use half stars as I would rate at 2 ½. Based on my meal and my wife’s I would consider this diner slightly below average. First my meal, the Gyro lunch special with upgraded soup to French onion. The French onion soup was rather salty with more bread than onions. The cheese was melted, but didn’t have that slight char to it that I like. Pretty lackluster in terms of French Onion and not worth the extra 1.99. My Gyro overall was pretty good. The sauce included in the side was pretty tasteless and added nothing to the Gyro. I was glad to see romain lettuce was used instead of cheap lettuce like iceberg. Fries were included in the side and they tasted horrible. They seemed like that were leftovers from another order, cold and dry. We ordered an appetizer of mozzarella sticks. The actual sticks were ok, nothing crazy with flavor, most likely frozen. The sauce however was bland, made me think about how terrible pastas must taste of they use the same sauce. My wife had ordered a bowl of chicken soup whic was probably one of the best things we ordered. Lots of fresh veggies like carrots, celery etc. They used bowtie pasta which I personally like better than noodles. Her main meal was chicken tenders which was also done well. Fried perfectly and juicy. The tenders included the same terrible fries that came with my gyro. Overall, the food is extremely hit or miss with nothing that would make me go out of my way to come back. The server was nice and the overall interior of the diner was clean.

Stopped in on a Wednesday morning and was seated right away. Our waitress Christine was very nice and prompty took our drink order. Ordered the western omelet special which was very good. Unfortunately the potatoes were flavorless, slightly under cooked and luke warm at best. The service and omelet were very good.

Golden Dawn serves pretty stereotypical diner food. Portions are huge and the food is generally tasty. The matzo ball soup was delicious. Service on a busy Friday evening was slowish, but very friendly.

They serve alcohol. The food is great and they give huge portions. I like the fried ravioli appetizer. they give you a lot. I’ve also had burgers and paninis which are also good and huge portions.

Just moved to the area and came here for brunch. Pretty good food. I got a cheeseburger and it had two pieces of cheese which I loved and it came with fries. My husband got a turkey blt which came with fries as well. I noticed a good amount of entrées came with fries which I love because fries are awesome! We will be returning customers! I thought the décor was very cute and homey with a fire place in it.

Been here hundreds of times, diner food, waitstaff that knows it’s regulars.

Golden Dawn was a disappointment on several levels. First, sitting at the end of the counter it took overly long for someone to slip me a menu and offer me a cup of coffee. I understand busy, but there were several staff people just walking around with their heads down. Second, the French Toast I ordered, while thick as advertised, had not soaked long enough in the egg mix, and the center of each slice was dry. This made for a less than enjoyable experience. Just glad I went with a short stack. Third, although I sat at the counter for at least 30 minutes as I waited and ate, no one came by with a pot of coffee and offered to refill my mug. Again, servers all around trying their best to avoid eye contact with everybody. They succeeded in making me feel invisible. And, in making me feel an unwanted customer. Have it your way. Without me.

I wish I had time for a scathing review, but I need to rush home for some Pepsid. Please don’t fooled by the title. Golden Dawn is not a Asian eatery.

This diner is a walking distance from my house — one of the first reasons I like it. I’ve been going here for as long as I remember and it’s one of my favorite diners!

I liked this restaurant as soon as entering the parking lot. It’s not hard to miss. The outside done over well. When entering golden Dawn, was seated asap with no waiting. I was pleaded by the inside and the seating room. It’s a good size restaurant with great service. The menu for breakfast, has a good size portion. Something hear that alot of other places don’t do, is bring you out a mug and Coffee Thermos for the table. It saves from waiting for the waitress for your next cup of coffee, can just poor it yourself. I got the Italian omelette, with home fries and toast. When the food arrived at the Table, the plate was filled with no room to spare. With nice size omelette and home fries. There is no short of food when coming hear. I enjoyed the breakfast. And look forward to coming back again. Mabe even for dinner.

Great diner. Great dinner. This is a pillar in the community. Phenomenal food. Awesome portions. Very reasonably priced. Wait staff is exceptional, especially Karen who was as sweet as a cupcake! Always look forward to my next visit.

Weekends or Holidays get here before the crowd. This location has a large menu all reasonably price. The food comes out with more then enough to eat and have enough to share. Staff attitudes vary but typically most are friendly and are able to answer all menu questions.

5 stars because it is exactly what I want from a diner. Cozy dated décor, typical reliable cheap comfort food, and fast service.

Just moved back to the area and have been here 4 times. Breakfast is good, burgers are very good but as for dinners my experience has been BAD. I prefer going to Georgine Jrs on rt 413 just around the corner. DONOTORDERSTUFFEDSALMON! DONOTORDERANYSEAFOODPEROID! Sad because once upon a time this place was AWESOME

Nothing was bad, nothing was good. Mozz sticks were soggy with watery marinara. My Greek salad was probably the largest salad I’ve ever been served but the dressing was pretty much just red wine vinegar(which I love, but a Greek salad needs some olive oil and herbs). I thought Greek food was supposed to be a sure thing at all diners? At least there were lots of olives to dig out. Matzoh ball soup(soup comes with all salads; come to think of it, bread was supposed to as well but I didn’t get any, not that I needed it) was way too salty. Corned beef hash was ok, the well-done top of it at least. I did like that we got a coffee carafe for the table and the coffee was decent with good classic diner mugs. My fiancé had to ask for jelly for his toast and only got grape. Place is really outdated with dusty decorations. I couldn’t help but think it was in need of a makeover; I’ve been watching way too much Restaurant Impossible. Like I said, nothing was that bad but what can I say, I’m from South Jersey, I have high diner standards.
