My only experience here was through take-out. The crab rangoons were great, along with the pork dumplings. This place may be ok for Chinese food, and delivery was timely. I wasn’t thrilled about the Pad Thai here. It had zucchini in it, no tofu, the sauce was off and it just… it wasn’t Pad Thai, it was their best attempt at Pad Thai.

The restaurant is very casual, yet inviting, what seating they had, certainly is comfortable. As it wasn’t quite meal time, they were fairly well empty, although we did witness quite a bit of take out and delivery. The sushi bar is quite small, but everything is made to order and so fresh. The sushi, sashimi and regular menu was quite vast, so unless you have specific favorites in mind, you may want to check out their menu on line, for your first visit. Sweet potato sushi, I had never seen before on a menu and they are so delicious, I can actually predict myself craving these again soon! These were all mine, as Michael is not a fan of sweet potatoes, although we did share some incredibly fresh and tasty shrimp tempura rolls and I never pass on the good old standard Philadelphia roll, yum. I’m not a plain white rice fan, hubs is, so I always order a side of shrimp lo mein and shrimp fried rice, because I love them both and can never make up my mind and both were wonderful. Plenty of good sized shrimp and lots of veggies, seasoned just right. What is really cool about Ume is they also have great assorted combinations of sushi and sashimi dinners, plus you can order many dishes either in a small portion or large. We each had a shrimp roll, because how can you not, when having Chinese food, they were okay. For our entrees, M had the seafood delight which had shrimps, crab meat, scallops and lobster, plus plenty of mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, onions, peas and peppers. I really did not expect this dish to be so plentiful, at $ 14.00, but it was more than generous with the ingredients. My entrée, I know, oink, oink, was the Szechuan shrimp, which can be ordered small or large, for the few dollars more I went large and it was a lot of food, with nice sized shrimp. A lot of food here folks, but we are getting ready for our third houseful of company and if I can get away without cooking for a couple of days, then I’m ahead of the game. Reasonable pricing, generous portions and tasty food with good service!
