Had Millmans do some repair work on my washing machine. They were prompt, courteous and very professional. I would highly recommend Millmans Appliances for sales and repairs.

I bought appliances for two rental properties about 10 years ago. When I needed to replace a fridge and range, I called Millmans again. Yes, called. I can see everything online, so I don’t feel the need to go in to the store. I never felt that the salesperson was working for me. I had to call several times to get things ordered. I made it clear that the items needed to be delivered on a certain day. No problem, I was told. They would receive the items two days earlier and could deliver on my specified day. The morning of the scheduled delivery Millmans had an ad in the local paper advertising my fridge at a lower price. The ad said REG. $ 3599 $ 1999 SAVE $ 1600(in a big red circle!) I called my sales person, who said she hadn’t seen the ad(which had been in effect already for 3 days) but would talk the owner about refunding the difference. Then I found out that they didn’t even have the appliances to deliver! They promised to deliver the next day, an inconvenience to me, but I agreed. The sales person promised not to charge for the deliver to make up for this, but the charge was on the invoice. When I didn’t hear from the owner about the refund, I called. And called. And called. He was ‘out of the store’ or ‘on another call’. The fourth time I got the runaround I gave the person who answered quite a piece of my mind. Finally the owner called me back and told me that the $ 1600 was actually a rebate that I might receive if I bought a suite of appliances. Too bad that on the entire page devoted to LG appliances there was not mention of this. In fact, each item had its own red circle promising savings, so it really doesn’t make sense to me that these savings were based on suites. I wish I had Unilocaled this business. I thought my previous experience was enough of a recommendation, but obviously things have changed. I will not do business with the company again.

What a great place to do business. We love to do business with small businesses. The staff is friendly and helpful! From the selection of the appliances all the way thru to the delivery scheduling and installation our entire experience was incredible.

This is a bummer to have to write. Poor service. We got all of our appliances for a remodel from Millman’s and even though the salesperson was excellent and the prices on par with other stores(online and IRL) the service and communication was horrible from pre-delivery to resolving problems with the appliances. The CSRs and receptionists were SUPER rude and in a hurry to get off the phone without resolving all of the problems. No communication about serious delays in shipping. For one service call, even though the manager promised to have someone come out, they did not show. It’s a shame. I like to support local businesses instead of big box stores, but Millman’s was just a bad experience. Maybe this review will help them improve! At least that’s my hope.

Millman’s, what happened? I have owned a home in Lewes Delaware for 25 years and have always bought my appliances from this family owned business. Even though the prices were a little higher than Lowe’s or Home Depot, It is important for me to support small business. So when my washing machine started acting up I called Millman’s for a repair. It was $ 99 for a look see and I booked an appointment. I was going to be out of town and gave them an alarm code and cc# to handle the repair. Well they charged me immediately — days before they even came out! Well, I thought the washer was fixed, $ 150 total. Wonderful. Less than 2 weeks later, the washer started doing the exact same thing again. Not ready to pay into another repair that that didn’t stop the issue. I went to Lowe’s today and bought a new set. No more Millman’s.

Called about 10 days before Thanksgiving because my washer ate the handle off of a bag we tried to wash. It would spin and pump out water but you could tell it was not right. I was told that they would be out the next day and as long as it was nothing more then finding and removing the handle it would be $ 100.00. If it would be more they would call(something they offered to do, I didn’t ask for them to do that). I told them that there was no hurry since I wouldn’t be back at the beach until Thanksgiving. Over Thanksgiving my sister used my condo and called to tell me the washer was in pieces. I checked my credit card to find I had been charged over $ 200.00. I call and they said they had to order a part(something I didn’t authorize) and could not come out that day(Wednesday) but would be out Friday morning. My sister changed her family plans and waited until 1:00 Friday. No word from them. When I called I was told it was scheduled to be the first stop but the technician change the schedule. It finally got fixed the following week. They acted like I was inconveniencing them. They never offer an apology or an explanation as to why the work was preformed without authorization. Work that I question if was necessary. Remember they are the ones who said they would call if they found anything else. I asked to be contacted by the owner but he never called. Guess he doesn’t care either. I would avoid this place if possible
