I deposited two checks for $ 200 in the outside ATM on Oct. 9. The machine quit working right after I inserted the checks, so I did not receive a receipt. I went into the branch and explained the problem and was told«a dispute would be filed.» Although I asked, I was not given any documentation. On Oct. 21, I received a letter stating they could not find any evidence of the disputed withdrawal! I then called the 800 number, and after much discussion, was told my account would be given a provisional credit while an investigation was done, up to 90 days. I have been a customer of this bank and its predecessors since 1975, but probably not much longer.

Stopped in here to use the coin counting machine. Exterior: this is a newer location in an out lot of a large grocery store. The parking lot was clean and easy to maneuver though. Interior: the bank’s set up took me by surprise as the staff were at little stations instead of the traditional counter. I hadn’t seen this since returning from Germany a few months back. It was very clean and presentable. Associates: the staff was very friendly, polite, and professional. They welcomed me upon arrival and directed me to the machine upon request. They handled my transaction easily and asked if they could provide further assistance. Overall, this is a very good PNC with great associates. It’s one of the few banks I’ve encountered that actually has a coin counting machine and does not charge a fee for using it(if you’re a PNC member). Were I to need to change primary branches, this would definitely be one.
