Really good clean food with plenty of veg and vegan options. Coffee is great and the staff was very pleasant. Would highly recommend for lunch. Will have to scope out breakfast options later. Edit: Went back for breakfast and it was just as good. Great vegan burrito and coffee was still awesome. All the staff were helpful and friendly. While sipping coffee in the front atrium, you can tell this place is a favorite for many of the people in town.

Well, I made it to April 8th in my ‘Waste Free’ coffee commitment before the Wild Bean messed that up. I ordered a latte«for here», my girlfriend ordered a specialty drink«for Here» they have nice ‘for here’ mugs but our drinks were delivered in ‘to go’ mugs. :(and the lids are #6 plastic so I can’t even feel good about the hope of composting rather than the plastic ending up in a landfill. Our travel buddy got a drip in a ‘for here’ mug but it was only warm and he had to ask for it to be heated up. The idea of having time limited codes for the wifi is a turn of for me, sort of wastefully individually printed on little slips of throw-away paper. The alternative is to purchase internet by the hour. This is a significant ding on the atmosphere for me, not very welcoming. My latte is just meh, if it as better I would’ve given three stars in spite of the other short comings. The service was decent and the atmosphere is good.

2 for the attitude/vibe and 3.2 for the product. The options here are great, and I can’t comment on the food, just the coffee and how they operate. I got a Sugar Maple and couldn’t taste the maple(bf said he could though.) My dad got a drip coffee which was lukewarm and they don’t have a microwave to reheat it. What is the biggest disappointment is that they gave us to-go cups for our coffees. I would have specified a mug, but since my dad was given a mug I(wrongly) assumed they were wise enough to figure out we were staying in. This bothers me because I’m on a zero coffee waste commitment and having a disposable cup goes against this.(Cup is paper but lid is a non-recyclable plastic.) It seems to be their norm though. Maybe they are against washing dishes. What really sucked though was their practice with wifi. Each customer gets a slip of paper(that you have to request) with a one-device password on it for 2 hours of wifi. I feel like this sets such a bad vibe. I can’t connect my phone and computer, just one. And if I want to do more I’m given the option to pay for it. It honestly doesn’t make me want to stick around. I was planning on spending a bit of time here, long enough to eat lunch. But I feel like the vibe has been set of «you’re only welcome here if you continue to give us money.» I’m guessing they have had a problem with people over staying their welcome(although it’s fairly quiet here this Fri morning.) But it’s just a downer and makes me want to head to the public library instead. If I get past this and decide to stick around for lunch I’ll update my review with food quality! *** UPDATE **** I ordered the Healthy Salad. Oops. If you’re hungry, don’t do this. They were nice enough to accommodate my request for gluten and dairy-free. But the salad was delivered without the tempeh(and with the green peppers I asked to be left out.) I asked why and was told, «the tempeh has soy in it…» uh… then, «and also some kinda additive with gluten.» That’s a first, but okay, so I asked if I could have some tofu instead. He said yes, then brought out the smallest amount of tofu on a side dish I could imagine without being insulting. Everything tasted okay, but it was basically all lettuce with a side of gf bread. Not worth the $ 9.95. And the coffee gave me diahrrea… wondering if the milk wasn’t almond as requested. Also, this place is noisy! And not from other customers. I sat on the couches in the back and every few minutes it sounded like ice bricks going through a blender. It was the paper towel dispenser being beaten up for a crazy amount of paper towels every time the cooks needed them(which was A LOT!) Wish this place composted with the way they go through paper! It seems the hipster vibe is only a look rather than a philosophy

Friendly, tasty with great space and vegan options, this coffee and tea community space was a welcome stop on the way for good grub and an amazing mocha chai with coconut milk!

I made a quick stop to Lewisburg to check out the downtown and get a coffee. I loved this place. It was crowded on a Sunday morning with people enjoying their coffee. I opted for a gingerbread flavored latte and a cranberry and blueberry muffin. My only critique is that it was short on desserts. For a café usually there are more options than just two different types of muffins. I loved. the interior décor of the café. Wild Bean occupies what looks to be a 19th-century building with a tin ceiling.

This used to be my go to on visits home, a few folks here need attitude adjustment.

This is a place where you can feel comfortable hanging out for 5 minutes or 5 hours. Coffee was spot on for the Americano. The space is beautiful. Their lemon poppy muffin was lovely as well. It was a great place to stop for an afternoon snack(but alas, I was hunkering for a little savory bite this afternoon to no avail).

I got the Mediterranean panini, it was nice and warm, but the bread was a little too crunchy. If you can look past that, I’d recommend it. I also got a caramel cappuccino, which was nothing special, tasted like a basic blend you can get anywhere. Reading the other Unilocal reviews I realized this place had all vegetarian options, which is quite nice. The overall ambience was that of a small-town-hipsterish Starbucks. They have free WiFi, lots of seating, and plenty of food choices. There aren’t exactly a lot of other options in town so I would go back to grab some food or even drop by to study or get some work done. If I could give half ratings I’d give them a 3.5.

3.5 Tried the Wild Bean for breakfast while in Lewisburg. My guy is a vegetarian, and I don’t mind eating vegetaran meals at all, plus I needed a good cup of coffee. Inside is big and roomy, lots of places to sit, from couhes to tables to a huge communal table. It’s an order at the counter and they bring it to you place. Service was very friendly and the staff was more than willing to explain things on the menu. The place is all vegetarian, so no bacon, only fakin’ bacon, but it was one of the better fake bacons I’ve ever tried. My guy’s breakfast burrito was good, but could have been a little bigger though, it seemed a little on the small side. I had the breakfast sandwich on ciabatta and so did our third diner. Eggs and cheese with soy bacon on a ciabatta roll. I was pretty impressed with the bread, it was very good ciabatta. The coffee was very good, I had a caramel latte. I always do appreciate a good cuppa. Prices were reasonable on the coffee too. The place has a kind of hipster vibe. A good part of the clientelle fits the bill, but it’s hipster without being snooty, I appreciate that. My group definitely does not fit the hipster image, LOL. I would go back here for the coffee alone. I’d still get breakfast here now and then if I was a local, it’s always good to have a healthy option.

We stopped here on our way back to DC from the Mountains because it was convenient and we wanted to see Lewisburg. Everything is vegetarian so heads up if you are looking for something with meat. We got a breakfast burrito with fake bacon which was pretty tasty. Different — but tasty. Burritos are the only breakfast food item available after 11:00 a.m. So we settled on it. We also got the grilled cheese — Very good! Came with a side of pesto-seasoned-like noodles, the winter vegetable soup– also tasty and a small Greek salad. I guess the only thing making it Greek was the feta, dressing and the few olives. There was maybe one onion but no peppers or anything out of the ordinary. I got an iced coffee that had some coffee grounds in it – enough that I could feel the graininess when I took a sip. My fiancé got a cappuccino and said it wasn’t very good. The prices were a little steep for what you get. I know that’s something that comes with organic/fair trade/local food but it still seemed the serving sizes were somewhat low. The grilled cheese was quite tiny. Also, we got ours to go and the guy who took our order forgot to tell the cook. I watched him take our sandwich off of the plate with his bare hands and put into a to go box. Kinda grossed me out since I watched him scratch his head a few minutes earlier.

There is a lot to like about this place, but it certainly would have received 5 stars from me if the staff were a little nicer. I used to come here every time I visited from DC but I guess these people don’t like us city folk. The manager would ring me up, and rather than be appreciative of my patronage, she would give me this semi nasty facial expression like she didn’t want me there. I was dressed decently, I had showered, I wasn’t yelling at anybody and I didn’t use inappropriate language, yet there was something about the manager that gave me the impression she had stepped in dog poop. She did this on several occasions on a few of my visits. She would also make it a point to tell ME first out of all the other customers in the place that they were closing. One time I came back to the register to buy a brownie or something. She said she could not sell it to me because they were closed. I looked at my phone and it was still just 4:54 and they were to close at 5. If you are driving through town and are considering coffee in Lewisburg, I would recommend you go elsewhere and avoid this treatment, until they learn that it pays to treat customers with more courtesy and they should at least make an attempt at smiling when serving them.

This place reminds me of a Starbucks but even better! I love the interior decors! The decorations make the ambiance very cozy and relaxing, and it’s very unique. The selection of coffee and fruit juices definitely awed me! Not only do they have a huge selection of freshly brewed coffee, they also offer lots of fresh juices and smoothies! The place was very spacious and offered many tables for customers to hangout, talk, and study! If I have a chance, I will come here around. I got a juice slush and I felt very refreshed while my friend got an iced mocha and immediately woke up after a sip of the strong caffeination! The shop is located in the heart of downtown, which is very convenient to grab a drink and continue to walk around or hit up another spot afterwards!

This little coffee house and bistro was a great find as I walked the Main Street of historic Lewisburg, West Virginia. They have great coffee and friendly service. Their vegetarian luncheon menu has good variety. I had a Mediterranean panini that was delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is casual and upbeat!

So hard to find good coffee when you’re traveling. I always try to give the local coffee shop a chance. I just had a most delicious quad shot. The locals are lucky indeed!

This coffee shop has a great vibe. Lots of good vegetarian and vegan options, cool art, and nice people working. It’s very spacious and seems to be a local favorite spot good given how many people are hanging around. If this was in DC I’d come here all the time! Please!

This place was recommended by some locals and I needed a place to do a bit of work. The atmosphere was appropriately funky without going into the faux funky level. The music was a bit loud. The employees were gracious, kind, and helpful. I ordered a vanilla latte which was near perfect. All in all, a great place to get a bit of work done. I desperately wish I had a place like this back home. PS. I didn’t order lunch here as there was no meat on the menu.

Seriously cool coffee-shop with a very friendly and prompt staff, vegan food, a great grilled cheese sandwich(non-vegan), and great drinks including some really awesome Autumn special drinks – try the hot cider. Free wifi and the food is up quickly in most cases – these kids try for it to be at least. Nice atmosphere, too. In short, everything a local coffee-shop ought to be, really.
