Although the reviews seem to be mixed, the Brickyard provided a good dining experience and is a place I would return to again. Some takeaways from the meal: (1) It is a sports bar type of place, so there are multiple TV sets going on. The place has a lot of hard surfaces that reflect sound. The point is that this place is loud. If you come here expecting a quiet experience, you will be unhappy. Plan for some noise, and you will be fine. (2) You can find a variety of chicken wings, and they make an excellent appetizer. The smoked wings with the house dry rub are the best in my opinion. They are flavorful without being too spicy, and there is plenty of meat. Do not deprive yourself of them. (3) The sandwich platters are pretty filling, particularly if you have started with an appetizer(such as, oh, maybe chicken wings). But the meal platters might be good if you have a large appetite or wish to take home leftovers. (4) The pulled pork sandwich comes plain(except for the sauce), but you can get it with cole slaw. The cole slaw version is called the po-boy sandwich, which technically is not a po-boy. However, you will hard-pressed to eat the po-boy sandwich as a sandwich, as the cole slaw makes it huge and messy. You will most likely need a knife and fork. However, the sandwich without cole slaw is much easier to eat as a sandwich. (5) The mashed potatoes have good flavor even without gravy. (6) The red beans and rice are extremely spicy, to the point of being too much. They are good, but I will skip them the next time. (7) The meal and sandwich platters come with a piece of cornbread. The cornbread is pretty good. It is not sweet but tastes like traditional cornbread, not too heavy. Worth having a piece of. (8) Desserts sound good, but I was too full to try one. Next time. This is a good place to try for barbecue and the like.

I do NOT get the nasty and bitter reviews for this place! Some downright ARROGANT giving full names of staff– Not right The atmosphere is amazing– A great bar space with larger dining areas available The waitress was overly friendly(as were the bartenders) and the good delicious I definitely suggest this restaurant for anyone looking for great BBQ, amazing beer and very friendly staff

A good manager hint hint Steve Matthews would follow up or respond. I went went to the Brickyard with my family this evening and was completely disappointed. Our party of 8 ordered a couple appetizers, drinks and dinner. Appetizers came out timely and so did our drinks. Of the assortment of meals that were ordered I ordered a bowl of Brunswick Stew — one of their signature soups that is always available and always ready. My husband ordered a featured platter also something one would think is available because it’s featured as a special. After the entire rest of the party was served we waited — over 20 minutes and still NOSTEW And NO meal for my husband. Our party ate their meals because it was such a ridiculously long delay we simply couldn’t wait for them to wait. Finally after 25 minutes our food was delivered. I asked for the manager who was not available(no management might be why the kitchen is completely disorganized). Everyone was almost done eating so I sent my meal back telling the waitress I didn’t want to eat alone. One of the employees who was trying to «help out» since the manager who was MIA — came over to the table and said«we are going to take the stew that was served 25 minutes late that you didn’t eat off your bill, along with the cornbread you ordered with your meal and the $ 10 poppers since the service was so bad». I have to tell you — I was nothing short of insulted. You have to be kidding — the kitchen completely failed, I missed dinner with my family, and oh by the way, my husband’s specials had to be changed because they were out of the ribs(7pm on a Saturday!) we were told they ran out of his meal when they were bringing all the other meals out! A little late. I live in Philly and come here pretty regularly to see my family and the Brickyard has been a regular stop for us. I will say I have noticed a steady decrease in the service the last couple visits. This visit was the worst and I had to post a review. So thanks for the $ 10 comp on my $ 185 bill. I appreciate you taking 5% off my bill however there are plenty of restaurants that actually serve great food to then entire party at your table all at once and not over a 25 minute time frame. Your kitchen gets a huge ZERO for tonight.

We decided to eat here after the jet boat tour. We were able to sit right down outside on the patio without a wait which we weren’t sure if we would be able to do since it was Sunday right around dinner time. I wasn’t too hungry and didn’t want to much meat so I opted for a salad. I chose the brisket salad which had brisket on top with bbq sauce, salad, and on the bottom sweet potato fries. So it’s not the healthiest of salads but it’s still a salad so I give myself some brownie points for that. I decided to get a side of vinaigrette dressing. You didn’t need to use much dressing though because you could just use BBQ sauce from the brisket instead. I really enjoyed the salad and the brisket was really tender. If you are a fan of BBQ then this place is for you!

Wow what happened to this place??? It used to be great a couple years ago. Tonight not so much. Ordered the dry rub wings which are usually amazing. These ones reminded me of the turkey in Christmas Vacation… so dry and overdone they practically fell to dust. The pulled pork was tasteless and fatty. The meatloaf was burnt and tasted like shoe leather. Cornbread was weird tasting. The bun on the po boy was raw. Needless to say what a shame. We won’t be back.

Order Main: Porker Three Way(Pulled Pork, 1⁄3 St. Louis Ribs, 1⁄3 Baby Back Ribs) Sides: Mac & Cheese, Shot of Bourbon, Cornbread Drink: Big Ditch Hayburner(IPA) Fantastic meal. Food was top notch. These guys know BBQ. Yes, you can select bourbon(among many others) as your side that comes with your meal. Service was very quick, although it was not very busy when I attended. I’d definitely revisit! To do it over, I would have gone for variety and replaced ¼ Chicken with 1⁄3 Baby Back Ribs. which you can do for the same price.

Went here on the recommendation of my parents who say the food is really good. Have to say I was not too impressed. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich with sides of baked beans and mashed potatoes and corn bread. The mashed potatoes were ho hum. Nothing good but not bad. The beans were actually good, creamy and had pulled pork mixed in, a nice touch. The corn bread was dry and did not have much flavor The main course the sandwich was underwhelming. The pork itself on the roll was mixed with sauce, in my opinion a sign of an inferior meat. A good way to hide an avg meat is to mix it with a lot of sauce which was nothing to write home about either. When I’m at a place which serves all bbq I want my pulled pork juicy and tender almost needing no sauce at all. You won’t get that here. On a positive note I have read that the service here is not good. I’ll disagree. The wait staff was friendly helpful and I never had an empty glass. My whole meal was only 10 dollars and I left full. A good place to grab a beer with friends but if you want good bbq go to suzie qs instead.

Other than the house salad dressing I really can not say anything good about this place. My husband and I used to come here more often a few years ago, then they started disappointing us with the service sometimes then the food. We did not visit them at all last year, but decided to give them another try this time. Nothing has changed! We were seated on the patio like we asked for. Our server was friendly but absent. I ordered a half rack of St. Louis ribs w Mac and cheese and a side salad, my husband had the pulled pork po boy platter with beans and potato salad as his sides. My ribs were so tough that I had to use a steak knife to separate them and that was even hard to do. The Mac and cheese was blah. Kraft does a better job w their Mac and cheese. My husbands po boy was just okay and sides were nothing to rave about. Also, we had to ask for silverware because it was not at our table along with any BBQ sauces, because another waitress took it from our table as we sat down. There are too many other good BBQ places that are close by, so we will not be traveling to Lewiston for BBQ anymore.

As far as New York barbecue goes, I’m sure this is fine. But being used to good Southern barbecue, the best I can say about this is «meh.» We ordered the Combo plate to share. The ribs were tough with not a lot of meat on either the Baby Back or St. Louis style. The pulled pork was dry, but decent with the honey BBQ sauce. The Mac and cheese was cold and had no taste to it. The fries were also cold, and probably pretty good when hot, but these were not that. They do have an ok selection of inexpensive beers. All things considered, probably would not return.

Please be noted this is a five-star post on the service bar and beer alone… Always have a great selection service was wonderful not too busy and the bartender gave us two flights of her choice but it’s all been wonderful based on what we told her we liked. I have had the food before which is good but not eating tonight.

A decent place to stop for comfort foods or drinks and apps. My chicken and shrimp creole had a weird crunch to it and then I pulled a whole bay leaf outta my mouth. Folks, bay leaves are not edible and should be removed from soups and stews before serving! My husband enjoyed the andouille-stuffed meatloaf but when I tasted it, the saltiness put me off. Our daughter always gets chicken fingers and she wasn’t fond of the Brickyard version. They had a nice Saranac flavor-of-the-month on tap: chocolate and orange porter. However, it came without a head – not even a bubble. Tasting confirmed that it was flat. Service is either a feast or a famine. We went from multiple servers offering to wrap up our left-overs to not being able to get someone to take our credit card. Perhaps we will return to check out their ribs or pulled pork. It certainly is an appealing setting with a fun atmosphere and lots of choices. We will give it another try sometime.

My go-to spot in Lewiston. Absolutely, fantastic food. Best pulled pork I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere. Great staff. Any time someone comes to visit me or the falls, I tell them about this place and I’ve always been thanked for the suggestion.

We are never in Lewiston, but when we finally were and had the chance, we knew we wanted to check out Brickyard Pub. We went on a Sunday afternoon, around 3:30−4pm. It was surprisingly quite busy, given the fact it was that odd time between lunch and dinner. We chose to sit at the bar(so someone could watch golf), and we were immediately greeted by the bartender. My fiancé ordered the BBQ brisket sandwich, and I ordered the«Bourbon Street» sandwich(grilled chicken breast, red onion, Cajun mayo & secret Cajun spice, and mozz cheese). Mine was good, but his was DELISH. Of course, after 3 bites I was scolded and cut off, and told to eat my own. The macaroni and cheese was okay, but nothing out of this world. Next time I come back, I now know to go with the brisket!

Great price, Excellent service, huge portions, a nice variety of side dishes. We were asked if we wanted boxes by 2 separate servers. Then 3 people asked if needed bags for all our left overs. Just amazing service. Food was awesome too baby back ribs and ½ chicken had plenty of BBQ sauce. Will return for sure!

Being that it is the only BBQ joint in Lewiston/Niagara Falls it is ok. I have had a lot better if you take a 20mi. Ride towards the Buffalo. I have been to this establishment on numerous ocassions, always a fun time. The drinks are a bit pricey but that’s Lewiston.

Is brickyard my favorite BBQ in WNY? No. But does my friend Jay sell his ribs anywhere within a 400 mile radius? Also no. So Brickyard does just fine. The wings are good, the beer list is always suited to our various needs, and hubby loves the brisket. Pretty much every time we find ourselves in Lewiston, be it for ArtPark, the jetboat, some work appointment, or family visits, it’s our go-to restaurant. I think there’s comparable or dare-I-say better places in Buffalo proper, so I’m not making a trip just for the food, but I’m certainly always happy with my meal when we do visit! Plus they have a nice big patio, which is great when you want some sun or want to hippy-watch as people march to the concert for the night. :)
