great bread. Usually get the cranberry or raisin bread.

Excited that I have an adorable little bakery/café in my hometown. Now I won’t have to go all the way across the Androscoggin River to Starbucks in Auburn when I need some coffee and internets during visits to my parents who live in Lewiston. What a great little spot. Located towards the end of Lisbon St., close to the public library, post office, city hall, and some of the fine dining restaurants, its convenient to get to and parking isn’t bad at all. It shares a lot in the back with the bike shop that it practically shares a space with and there is plenty of street parking in the front. Yellow walls accented with warm and welcoming colors create a relaxed and comfortable ambience that makes you want to stay while. The wide variety of pastries, breads, and other goodies displayed on the counter, in the cases, and other places, look enticing. Friendly service adds to the experience. I ordered a cappuccino and a pumpkin whoopie pie, pleased that it was filled with a cream cheese frosting. As is the case with red velvet anything, any kind of pumpkin dessert is best complimented with a cream cheese frosting or other cream cheese confection. Also adding to the experience was the pleasant soft music playing in the background. Heard Jeff Buckley, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Marley, among others. I’m a fan. WiFi password: baguette — - - Addendum: A little inconvenient if you are there working and you must work past 4pm(time it closes) but well worth it if you’re there right at the end of the day and they have yesterdays bread and pastry they’re looking to give away. Scored three loaves of bread(French, cinnamon raisin, and the Miller — a multigrain) in addition to a sticky bun and a spinach and cheese croissant. So generous. — - - 12÷30÷13 Addendum: Very good café au lait, the ½ sandwich lunch is a great and comes with chips, two mini cookies, and a pickle, the cranberry walnut chicken salad is delicious. Love this place. Will come back every time I am in town. Great WiFi connection as well. Only complaint: snickerdoodle cookie was dry(but I wonder if that was by design).

This is the new location for Auburn’s popular bakery. Everything I have had from here has been very good. I am very impressed with the owner’s training and experiences that she brings to her treats! The pain du chocolat is flaky and delicious. Looking forward to trying some warm beverages.
